Tomorrow

Note to self: Make the most of today – it may be all you have ~

TOMORROW by Edgar Guest
today-tomorrow

He was going to be all that a mortal should be –
Tomorrow.
No one should be kinder or braver than he –
Tomorrow.
A friend who was troubled and weary he knew,
Who’d be glad of a lift and who needed it, too;
On him he would call and see what he could do –
Tomorrow.

Each morning he stacked up the letters he’d write –
Tomorrow.
And thought of the folks he would fill with delight –
Tomorrow.
It was too bad, indeed, he was busy today,
And hadn’t a minute to stop on his way;
More time he would have to give others, he’d say –
Tomorrow.

The greatest of workers this man would have been –
Tomorrow.
The world would have known him, had he ever seen –
Tomorrow.
But the fact is he died and he faded from view,
And all that he left here when living was through
Was a mountain of things he intended to do –
Tomorrow.

It’s not the world’s fault. Fix YOURSELF.

Jordan Peterson? You may have heard of him? He’s recently emerged as a new conservative rock star of sorts for his defense of old-fashioned common sense. (As a bonus, radical lefties hate him. He represents order – as an corrective to their disorder.) His book “12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos” is, as David French puts it, a beacon of light; to help a person look in the mirror and respect the person he or she sees ~

Peterson has become a sensation and a lightning rod. His YouTube videos receive millions of views, and the mere mention of his name infuriates social-justice warriors. He achieved a degree of public prominence when he famously refused to bow to pressure to use “chosen” pronouns for transgender people (unless specifically asked), and he’s got little patience for far-left cultural intolerance.

Although certainly not all-in for Christianity (perhaps it’s that tendency some intellectuals have to not be seen as irrational for believing in something that isn’t 100% provable) he’s thoroughly honest enough to see the timeless merits of the Christian world-view and so has become a staunch defender of Judeo-Christian values in general. In this recent video from PragerU he offers some amazingly practical advice for making your life happier 🙂 ~

Copying God

From the ever-expanding field of biomimetics, here – via Creation-Evolution-Headlines (a site that keeps close tabs on this discipline) – are some of the latest awesome applications; copying God’s design in nature to improve life for all ~

Robot Technology from -> Spiders

The rise of bioinspired microrobots (Science Daily). “Jumping robot spiders and swarms of robotic bees sounds like the stuff of science fiction, but researchers at The University of Manchester are already working on such projects and aiming to lead the world in micro robotics” […]

Unlike humans, our spiders can jump up to six-times longer than their own body length from a standing start. In comparison, the maximum a human can jump is just one and half times. Dr Nabawy says if we can perfect the way spiders jump in robots they can be used for a variety of different purposes in complex engineering and manufacturing and can be deployed in unknown environments to execute different missions.

New Electrodes/More efficient networks of Supercapacitors from -> Tree Branches and Leaves

The branch-and-leaf design in trees maximizes surface area. At a million times smaller scale, could this produce more efficient networks of supercapacitors? Their test model was better in all respects: good news for users of battery-powered devices, like hybrid cars and household electronics […]

In experiments it produced 30 percent better capacitance—a device’s ability to store an electric charge—for its mass compared to the best available electrode made from similar carbon materials, and 30 times better capacitance per area.

New Developments in Microelectronics from -> DNA

As if DNA – and its complex functions – weren’t amazing enough by itself ~

At Arizona State, researchers are finding that “DNA’s remarkable properties of self-assembly and its ability to conduct electrical charge over considerable distance make it ideally suited for myriad applications, including tiny electronic circuits and computing devices, nanorobots and new advances in photonics.”

Speedier Development of New Antibiotics from -> Soil Bacteria

“Streptomycin, chloramphenicol and tetracycline – three of the most widely used antibiotics – were all discovered in soil bacteria. Nature is the grand architect behind a major proportion of modern drugs.”

“Nature” is blind, random and frequently chaotic. The real “grand architect” is our Creator God.

Benjamin Netanyahu, on Iran, America and Trump

Last Sunday, Mark Levin spoke with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his Life, Liberty & Levin show on Fox. In case you missed it, here are the first 14 minutes ~

[You can watch the entire interview HERE

Among the topics they discussed ~

His relationship with Donald Trump

Very positive. There’s a certain chemistry between the two. He appreciates that Trump cuts through the (B.S.), gets right to the point.

Life in America

(Netanyahu spent most of his teen years in the U.S. while his father worked as a professor in the Philadelphia area.)
One very important lesson; for a country to thrive it needs a robust private sector – free markets. For example, Israel wouldn’t have been nearly as successful in the field of technology without the competition afforded by the free market.

What makes America special

Freedom. And the fact that it’s a meritocracy. He appreciates the significant difference America made to Israel’s prospects after World War II, when our country became the world leader.
America and Israel are part of the same civilization.

Israel’s enemies

“Iran, Iran, Iran.” And no wonder, with this sort of aggressive rhetoric ➡ ‘We will level Tel Aviv to the ground’ senior Iranian official warns Israel. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, issued this threat last month ~

“If they [Israel] carry out the slightest unwise move against Iran, we will level Tel Aviv to the ground and will not give any opportunity to Netanyahu to flee.”

Israel can’t afford not to take the world’s largest sponsor at terror at their word; they must stay hyper-vigilant. They’re a tiny country, with a very thin margin for error.

The good news, as Netanyahu explained, is that most Arab countries in the region have come to realize that the biggest threat to peace in the Middle East isn’t Israel – it’s Iran. Subsequently, their relationships with those other nations have been improving.

Netanyahu’s “scandals”

Recently, the prime minister has been under attack by political adversaries in his own country. They’re desperately trying to find some evidence of corruption ~ Israel’s ‘Deep State’ Targets Netanyahu with Bogus Charges. As Caroline Glick notes in this recent article, this is another thing the prime minister has in common with our president ~

Over the past year, as the police investigations dragged on, investigators fed the media with a never-ending stream of negative leaks that all disparaged and vilified Netanyahu […}

(T)the parallels between the indictment of Netanyahu and the witch hunt against President Trump are remarkable.

So far any evidence of wrongdoing has been awfully flimsy; accusations have come from those opposed to his politics. In one instance, the key witness against Netanyahu, Yair Lapid, is his chief political rival! (No ulterior motive there 😉 )

When Levin intimated that perhaps these “scandals” are a little too convenient for the prime minister’s opposition, Netanyahu replied, “you’re very perceptive.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not only is Benjamin Netanyahu a courageous leader and a wise statesman, he shares the worldview of most Americans. After the rocky Obama years, it’s good to know our country is once again firmly allied with the state of Israel – and her prime minister.
Random links of interest, concern or curiosity from the past week or so, that deserve at least a SHORT mention:
Turns Out Trump’s Nominee to Head CIA Did Not Oversee Waterboarding in Thailand ~ Oops. More #FakeNews ~
Haspel was the chief of base in Thailand, but “she did not arrive until later in 2002, after the waterboarding of Zubaydah had ended.”
(To their credit, ProPublica – the site that originally got this wrong – has retracted and apologized.)
As if we don’t have enough to worry about, Daniel Greenfield says ~ Forget Russia, What about Qatar? That country’s subversive activities include influence peddling to media and non-profit think tanks as well as spying/hacking ~
(I)f the latest allegations are true, Qatar’s terror backing and fake news operations have been supplemented by a domestic spying and blackmail operation against Americans […]
Qatar is tiny compared to Russia. It’s a slave state of 200,000 masters and large numbers of foreign workers, many of them worked to death and treated little better than slaves. But yet it’s enormously wealthy and beneath its façade of moderation, it seeks to export Islamic supremacism around the world […]
Qatar, like Russia, is an ally of Iran. Like Russia, it arms and trains Islamic terror groups, seeks to undermine America, Israel and the West, and represents a major geopolitical threat.
FBI testimony confirms Obama DOJ ordered 500,000 fugitives purged from background check database ~ Why? Just to increase the chances of more crimes being perpetrated on the public? To further erode the civil society?
Considering all the damage inflicted by the O’Ministration, America’s got a long, long way to go to try and restore the rule of law in this country.
Let’s not forget, there’s still the Clinton’s evil empire to dismantle ~ Clinton Charity Fraud Biggest Scandal in US History ~ According to Former CIA Officer and whistleblower Kevin Shipp, for years, Hillary’s been running a global financial criminal syndicate – worth at least $100 billion. All the usual suspects (Soros, Obama, Lynch, assorted congress creatures) are part of the cabal. Shipp seems confident the truth will eventually come out ~
This is probably going to be the biggest scandal in U.S. history–once it’s busted. I think they are quietly working on it now, and I think they have been for the last year. It is so huge the arrests and indictments could cause a Constitutional crisis with some people being removed. Maybe that’s why they are moving slowly. It all comes back down to the Clinton Foundation and the criminal syndicate.”
HuffPo Normalizes Bestiality, Talks ‘Acceptance’ With Man Who Had Sex With Dolphin ~ Why not? It’s apparently the next brave new frontier. Can we get much sicker? ~
Malcolm Brenner was the feature of a documentary called “Dolphin Lover,” wherein Brenner was “courted” by a dolphin named Dolly he eventually has sex with […]
Brenner has previously compared the taboo surrounding sex with an animal to interracial sex: “I’m hoping that in a more enlightened future, zoophilia will be no more regarded as controversial or harmful than interracial sex is today,” he said in “Dolphin Lover.”
US Niger ambush: Mali militia says it has American vehicle and weapons ~ We lost four troops that day; one of them, probable turncoat Sgt. La David T. Johnson. No doubt this is the Land Cruiser that he ran off with! ~
People Want Me Fired For What I Wrote About Video Games. Here’s My Response To The Critics ~ Matt Walsh, writing at the Daily Wire reiterates his position that video games aren’t harmless ~
A video game that has some elements of violence in it, but where the violence is not the whole point or the main attraction, and the violence is not gratuitous or shocking or exploitative, could be perfectly fine for the right age group. Not fine enough to play for six hours a day (no video game, or TV show, or movie is fine enough for that). But fine. There are plenty of games that fall into this category. There are plenty of games that fall well outside of it. Games where you are beating prostitutes to death or shooting up an airport or anything else in that vein definitely fall outside of it. They have no constructive value and whatever effect they have on you will not be positive. They are the very definition of gratuitous.
Tillerson Fired Over Rogue Bid to Save Iran Nuke Deal ~ Rex had to go. And in the end, that will be good news for regular Iranians ~
While Trump had prescribed a range of fixes that he viewed as tightening the deal’s flaws, Tillerson recently caved to European pressure to walk back these demands and appease Tehran while preserving the deal, according to these sources […]
White House allies warned Tillerson’s senior staff for weeks that efforts to save the nuclear deal and balk on Trump’s key demands regarding the deal could cost Tillerson his job, a warning that became reality Tuesday when Trump fired Tillerson by tweet.
Meanwhile, LGBT Activists Are LIVID About Trump Naming CIA Director Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State ~ Oh good grief. Just stop ~
HRC (Human Rights Campaign) listed Pompeo’s sins against the LGBT movement. “Pompeo’s attacks on LGBTQ equality is long and well-documented: he opposes marriage equality, and, as a member of Congress, co-sponsored efforts to allow states to not recognize same-sex marriage and to allow nonprofit businesses and organizations using taxpayer dollars a license to discriminate against LGBTQ people,” the organization said.
“Equally as troubling, his political career has been funded by anti-LGBTQ hate groups, including the Family Research Council,” HRC’s update concluded.
As Secretary of State, Pompeo won’t be in a position to ban same-sex marriage any time soon. Why is it that the “hate” always seems to come from the angry activists on the Left?
God meant it for good… the Irish “Apostle”
Re-post from 3-17-14 ~
stpatrick
“…you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.” ~ Joseph
Genesis 50:20
There are many similarities between the life of Joseph and that of St. Patrick of Ireland. Kidnapped and sold into slavery in their youth, friendless and alone in a foreign land, neither had anyone to turn to but God. Placing all their faith and trust in Him, they were each able to accomplish amazing things.
From the High Calling ~
Patrick’s story reads like an Indiana Jones-type adventure. Raised in Britain (yes, not Ireland), Patrick was captured by pirates in A.D. 405 when he was only sixteen years old. The kidnappers whisked him away to Ireland and sold Patrick into slavery. He spent eight years as a captive in this pagan land.
During his captivity, Patrick embraced the Christian faith of his upbringing, something that had mattered little to him beforehand. In his own words, Patrick explained: “And there the Lord opened the sense of my unbelief that I might at last remember my sins and be converted with all my heart to the Lord my God, who had regard for my abjection, and mercy on my youth and ignorance, and watched over me before I knew Him, and before I was able to distinguish between good and evil, and guarded me, and comforted me as would a father his son” (from The Confession of St. Patrick).
Inspired by a dream, Patrick finally escaped from Ireland and made his way back to his home in Britain. But, in time, he sensed God’s call to return to Ireland, of all places, in order to share the good news of Christ with the pagans there. Even though he feared he wasn’t sufficiently learned to be a missionary, Patrick returned to Ireland, where he found unprecedented success in his evangelistic endeavors. His experience of Irish language and culture during his years as a slave enabled Patrick to communicate the Christian gospel with unusual effectiveness.
Though we can’t be sure when Patrick died, tradition holds that he lived into his seventies and died on March 17 in the latter half of the fifth-century A.D. In twenty-five or thirty years of evangelistic work, he led thousands of Irish pagans to Christ and was responsible for Ireland’s becoming one of the most Christian nations in Europe. For this reason he is called “the apostle of the Irish.”
Will Fine Gael Bring It Back? ~ International pro-aborts are trying to force Ireland to overturn its ban on abortion (Amnesty International even took an illegal €137,000 grant from George Soros to liberalize Ireland’s abortion laws). There will be a referendum on repealing the country’s Eighth Amendment by the end of summer ~
This St. Patrick’s Day, let us pray that Christ would be remembered in all those who labor for life in Ireland. Let the Irish be inspired by the spirit of St. Patrick to fight against child-sacrifice in their great country. And with the same courage that Patrick drew upon to confront the evil of his time, let us rise to confront the evils of ours, armed with the Word of our testimony and the blood of Lamb, so that Christ’s name is proclaimed over all.
What is Trump thinking? Feldblum has to go
OK, I get that President Trump has his hands full – what with the Russians, North Korea, border security, his cabinet shake-ups, “fake news,” Leftists, and RINOs out to stab him in the back (not to even mention the Stormy Daniels drama)… So maybe he’s just too distracted. But someone needs to fill him in on Chai Feldblum. This radical hold-over from the Obama era has to go – not be reappointed to the EEOC – where she can further erode our religious freedom for another five years.
ChaiFeldblum
Feldblum has served as one of the five members of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) since 2010 ~
Originally appointed to the agency by former President Barack Obama, (Feldblum) is an intensely progressive agency official who has broken with the administration in key policy areas since Trump assumed office in January of 2017. Before joining the Commission, she regularly advocated for the supremacy of LGBT rights over religious liberty as a professor at the Georgetown University Law Center.
Her arguments include endorsing polygamy, defending burdening religious practice to advance LGBT equality, and questioning the value of marriage as a social good.
Source: Daily Caller
In other words, she holds views that would have horrified our foundering fathers. Views that most Americans still find offensive today. Here are a couple more examples, via Glenn Beck ~
“We should similarly not tolerate private beliefs about sexual orientation and gender identity that adversely affect LGBT people.”
“A law that permits no individual exceptions based on religious beliefs will be the least restrictive means of achieving the goal of liberty for gay people.”
Ah, the intolerance of LGBTQ activism.
Feldblum, with her “sexual libertarian libertine worldview seems intent on punishing Christians for their deeply-held religious beliefs, as the recent case of EEOC v. Harris Funeral Homes illustrates ~
(A) Christian business owner of a funeral home had fired employee Anthony Stephens, who was undergoing “gender transitioning” and wearing women’s clothes to work. The business owner said this violated his Christian beliefs, but the EEOC argued that a Christian business owner could not fire a transgender employee for religious reasons. The court agreed.
No one who is this far out of the mainstream should be effecting policy on workplace discrimination law. If you don’t think so either, please sign this petition to President Trump at the American Family Association ~
President Trump, who campaigned on and issued an Executive Order protecting religious liberty, said, “Faith is deeply embedded into the history of our country, the spirit of our founding and the soul of our nation…[this administration] will not allow people of faith to be targeted, bullied, or silenced anymore.”
The re-nomination of Chai Feldblum, one of President Obama’s most ardent opponents of religious liberty, grossly undermines President Trump’s promises as well as his instructions to Attorney General Jeff Sessions to protect religious liberty.
Chai Feldblum and her radical views on human sexuality are NOT what we voted for.
Senate Dems’ field trip to Cuba
A few weeks ago, Senator Patrick Leahy (Democrat) and a couple of his fellow (also Democrat) senators paid a little visit to Castro’s island paradise. Not surprisingly, their little excursion flew under the mainstreams’ radar ~ Democrats Visit Mass-Murderer Raul Castro to Denounce President Trump’s Policies ~
“(The group) arrived in Cuba last weekend (Feb. 17-18) to review changes in Washington’s policy toward the island since President Donald Trump assumed office in January 2017. During the press conference, Leahy mentioned the meeting that he and his colleagues held yesterday with Cuban President, Raúl Castro… The Senator from Vermont criticized the new direction taken by the Trump administration with regard to Cuba policy.”
(Source: Cuba’s Communist party paper, Granma.)
cuba-map
The rest of the U.S. delegation consisted of senators Ron Wyden (D-OR), Gary Peters (D-MI), Jim McGovern (D-MA), Kathy Castor (D-Fl) and Rep. Susan Davis (D-San Diego). […]
Jorge González-Gallarza is curious about the group’s agenda ~ Senator Leahy: report back from Cuba immediately ~
Over the latest congressional recess, a bicameral group of members snuck away to Cuba for a round of talks with different elements of the Castro regime. The four-day visit was unusually lengthy for a congressional delegation, and suspiciously furtive from the get-go.
The delegation spoke to senior staff at the Foreign Affairs Ministry’s US Directorate led by Carlos Fernández de Cossío — who less than a week before was still serving as Cuban Ambassador to South Africa — , met with US exchange students at Havana University and held a wrap-up press briefing at the Embassy. The visit also allegedly involved some form of “fact-finding efforts” to dig into the attacks on embassy staff of the past year, as well as encounters with members of Cuba’s minute business community.
González-Gallarza continues ~
The rationale for so-called “engagement” underpinning the Leahy-led trip is flawed anywhere you look at it. Far from a “fact-finding” mission, the delegation made a point not to ask Castro’s entourage the tough questions begged by the reported facts surrounding the attacks. No effort was even made to assuage the opposition’s fears that they may be the next target of whatever technology was used to inflict damage on our diplomats.
Most crucially, Leahy and his colleagues can’t be relied on to press the Castro regime on their repressive zeal at home and their key role in abetting Maduro’s crimes in Venezuela. That type of backroom mingling spells dissonance in our foreign policy at a time of heightened uncertainty over a potentially grave national security threat.
Hmmm… any infringement of the Logan Act here…?
Probably not, but this Democrat diplomacy is certainly problematic.
What is it with Dems and dictators? Cuba is still pals with the Russians, has attempted to smuggle weaponry to North Korea and is a state-sponsor of terrorism. Not to mention this (from Babalu Blog) ➡ Shocking! Castro regime has over 200 spies in the United States ~
Colonel Chris Simmons, former head of the counterintelligence unit for Cuba at the United States Defense Intelligence Agency (DNI) , claims that the Castro regime has just over 200 agents scattered throughout the United States.
The sale of intelligence information is the largest source of income that Cuba has, said Col. Chris Simmons… “The income generated by tourism is mere pennies in comparison with the profits that the sale of secret information brings in for Havana,” said the colonel.
And Leahy and his cohorts are fine with all this? As González-Gallarza reported, the delegation couldn’t be bothered to meet with the Cuba opposition (Something even BHO took the time to do back in 2016) ~
Not one meeting with opposition leaders was squeezed into the schedule. By Leahy’s own telling, he even refused to “go into difficult conversations” in his talks with regime bigwigs, meaning no allusion was made to their rampant crackdown on dissent since Obama’s thaw of relations in 2016. The refusal to reckon with the opposition as a necessary partner is all the more shocking given the delegation’s stated intent to gain a deeper understanding of recent changes in Cuban political life.
So who knows what the real purpose of their little excursion was. But it’s certainly difficult to see how the visit will ever benefit the average Cuban.
Uh-Oh -> Huge solar storm set to slam Earth TOMORROW
This story from the UK Daily Mail is a bit disconcerting…
A huge solar storm is heading for Earth, and it’s likely to hit tomorrow.
The storm could knockout satellites, disrupt power supplies and spark stunning displays of the Northern Lights.
It was created last week by an enormous explosion in the sun’s atmosphere known as a solar flare, and charged particles from that flare are now on their way to our planet.
solarFlare
The arrival of the solar storm coincides with the formation of ‘equinox cracks’ in Earth’s magnetic field, which some scientists believe form around the equinoxes on March 20 and September 23 each year.
These cracks weaken our planet’s natural protection against charged particles and could leave commercial flights and GPS systems exposed to the incoming storm…
Read the rest HERE.
Other news outlets are playing the storm down though, so not to worry. 😆
Either way, there are likely to be some impressive Aurora Borealis displays.
Michigan church harassed by Gaystapo
Earlier this year, Metro City Church, a non-denominational, independent Christian church in southeast Michigan, made plans to host an “Unashamed Identity Workshop” for young women who might have questions about – or may be struggling with – their sexual identity (which is certainly an understandable position given contemporary society’s gender confusion issues!). As the church’s Facebook post described it, the workshop was intended for ~
young&confused
“… girls only (by birth), 12-16 years old, for those struggling with the thoughts that they are trans, bi, gay or other. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Through thoughtful, relevant and biblical counsel we will help your girl be unashamed of her true sexual identity given to her by God at birth.”
Unfortunately, those are fighting words to today’s social justice warriors. As Christian Post reported, LGBTQ activists immediately went on the offensive ~
A Michigan pastor whose church recently invited teen girls for a discussion over LGBT thoughts has said that the backlash has hit extreme levels, with people threatening to kill his family and burn his church down.
Why is it that LGBTQ totalitarians – the folks who tell us not to “judge,” refuse to tolerate any position but their own?
According to Pastor Jeremy Schossau, the church has been targeted by “unbelievable hate, vulgarity; filled with stuff that I just can’t understand or believe.”. On February 9th, a group who somehow feel threatened by God’s official position on men and women, held a demonstration in front of the church, accusing Metro City of forcible conversion therapy.
MetroChurchprotest
These activists are totally misrepresenting the nature and intent of the workshop, as Pastor Schossau so graciously explains in this video ~
Shortly after he made that video – in an interview with Tony Perkins (Family Research Council) – Pastor Schossau said that one girl had just told him the workshop had saved her life ~
“Just a few minutes before we went on the air here, I received a text message from one of the young ladies who is involved with this whole workshop that we have been putting on,” Schossau said. “She said that we saved her life, literally, that she was suicide-minded before getting into discussions with us. And she was just overwhelmed by the ‘peer pressure’ to be gay, to be a lesbian.”
Schossau said that the meeting provided her with the comfort of knowing that “she doesn’t have to make any of these decisions when she is 13 years old.”
“She can slow her sexual thought down and that just because you struggle and just because your friends say that you are, [that] doesn’t make you gay,” the pastor explained.
Source: Christian Post
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Progressive politicians are happy to jump on controversies like this to pacify their more radical constituents. So Michigan Democrat Reps. Adam Zemke and Darrin Camilleri have already introduced House Bill 5550 to “prohibit mental health professionals from engaging in efforts to change the sexual orientation and gender identity of a minor.” They’re also calling on Attorney General Bill Schuette to investigate the church. Good grief.

If you believe, as I do, that these activists have gotten totally carried away with trying to force others what to believe about human sexuality, the Family Research Council has a petition you can sign HERE, which is asking the congressmen to withdraw their request for an investigation ~

It is alarming that legislators, who have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution, have attacked the free speech rights and free exercise of religion by a local church congregation, in direct violation of the First Amendment. Moreover, as government officials, for you to dictate what a local church must teach regarding its theology is totalitarian in nature, and is at the heart of what the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment was meant to prevent.

Iranian Supreme Leader Demands Americans Disarm ~ Oh, well there you go. The Left must love this tyrant ~

… the movement has become driven by personality rather than by principle. Our leaders are fundraisers, managers, organizers, or hucksters — not statesmen. We are obsessed with the present and fail to put ourselves in perspective with the past and the future. And our movement is consumed by ambition, greed, and the self-serving desires of some to write the next vapid book and get the next shallow appearance on cable news, while others point, and scorn, and mock, and lecture from the ivory towers of their own inflated egos.

Unfortunately,

While the conservative movement is distracted by nonsense, Americans are losing their liberty (Too true!) […]

Should loyalty to the president take precedence over loyalty to the Constitution? Should conservatives permit the media and the Left to bully us into surrendering the liberties of our progeny?

[True conservatives instinctively know the answers.]

Why Turkey Wants to Invade the Greek Islands ~ Under Islamist President Erdoğan, the Turks believe that the Greek islands are occupied Turkish territory and must be reconquered ~

In 2016, Erdoğan said that Turkey “gave away” the islands that “used to be ours” and are “within shouting distance.” “There are still our mosques, our shrines there,” he said, referring to the Ottoman occupation of the islands.

Washington State Passes Bill Requiring Insurance Companies to Cover Abortion ~ Tyrannical actions like this – forcing people to pay for procedures that violate their deeply-held religious beliefs – is why I’m so grateful we switched, a couple years ago, to a non-insurance alternative: (Christian) healthcare sharing.

The Abolition of Manhood ~ An excellent article by a very wise young man. If only we had thousands more millennials like him ~

(T)he true crux of manliness lies in ones integrity to hold true to what he believes and stand firm in justice against the tyranny of relativism.

Targeted for Believing in Jesus, Russell Vought Barely Confirmed as Pence Casts Tie-Breaker ~ Castigated by Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) for having the temerity to hold to Christian values, Vought barely squeaked in as Deputy Director of the Office of Management ~

“I’m a Christian, and I believe in a Christian set of principles based on my faith,” Vought said at his confirmation hearing […]

“It was a shocking moment to watch a United States Senator (Sanders) declare that holding to a central tenet of Christianity that Jesus is the only way of salvation is enough to render a well-qualified nominee unfit for public service. Vought’s biblical view of salvation is no different than what Billy Graham preached for more than six decades.” ~ Tony Perkins, president, Family Research Council

Tiny Irish town taking in a 33% population increase in migrants had no say, locals fear being called racist ~

A concerned local, Michael Walsh, said that Ireland has become a “slave state” of the EU.

Even worse is that residents are afraid to ask questions for fear of being accused of being “racist.” This pattern is everywhere: Westerners surrendering to indiscriminate immigration for fear of being called “racist” and “Islamophobic.” In the UK, that fear became irrational — in keeping with a real phobia — when girls were being sexually abused in large numbers by Muslim grooming gangs. The attacks were covered up by police, social workers, and politicians, all phobic about being called “racist.”

Meanwhile, Italians are fed up with the hijrah too ~ Italy stuns Euro establishment by voting for its own freedom and security ~

Italian voters have flocked to anti-establishment, Eurosceptic parties and rejected mainstream, traditional political parties, the latest predictions from the country’s election indicated on Monday.

The populist Five Star Movement, founded by stand-up comedian Beppe Grillo as a bombastic challenge to the established order, emerged as the big winner of the general election, in a result that will be viewed with trepidation in Brussels.

Everywhere in western countries now – regular citizens have had enough of being bossed around by their betters in the ruling class.

Hollywood Promotes Sex with a Minor ~ In this short video Dr. Michael Brown discusses the hypocrisy not just of the La-La Land culture, but of the Christian culture as well.

Why Did It Take Two Weeks To Discover Parkland Students’ Astroturfing? ~

In seemingly no time, the magical (Parkland) kids had organized events ranging from a national march to a mass school walkout, and they’d brought in a million dollars in donations from Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney.

It was all Social Justice Organizing 101 ~

Rep. Debbie Wassermann Schultz aiding in the lobbying in Tallahassee, a teacher’s union organizing the buses that got the kids there, Michael Bloomberg’s groups and the Women’s March working on the upcoming March For Our Lives, MoveOn.org doing social media promotion and (potentially) march logistics, and training for student activists provided by federally funded Planned Parenthood.

Former slave and two-time Olympian becomes an airman Wonderfully inspiring story about Guor Maker, who – having fled war and slavery in South Sudan almost 20 years ago – truly appreciates America’s freedoms and opportunities ~

“All of the things I’ve accomplished have derived from the opportunities the U.S. has afforded me,” said Maker. “When I first came to America, I didn’t have hardly anything, but with the support and opportunity this country has given me, I’ve been able to completely change my life.”
