H.R. McMaster would’ve made a great NSA – for Hillary

Judging from his recent actions, inactions and globalist tendencies, if – God forbid – Hillary Clinton were president, H.R. McMaster could be her national security adviser. Seriously. Based on his performance thus far, the former lieutenant general seems to be working for the progressive globalists – even though he’s on Donald Trump’s payroll.

With regard to America’s international policy, Trump seemed pretty darn clear on a few specific issues during his campaign ~
 

• The nuclear agreement with Iran was a bad deal; we’re going to reverse it
• Our national interests are paramount. To that end, we need to strengthen our military
• We are at war with Islamic terrorism, let’s not pretend otherwise

 

Questionable résumé.

 
Either McMaster wasn’t paying attention last year – or he’s deliberately attempting to undermine Trump’s agenda. I’m going with option #2, especially considering who was paying for his services until a few short months ago: McMaster Served at Group Financed by Multinational Corporations Doing Billions in Iran Business.
 
In this piece at Breitbart, Aaron Klein explores the funding behind International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), the group for which McMaster served as a consulting senior fellow from 2006 until February of this year. Describing itself as a “world-leading authority on global security, political risk and military conflict,” IISS’ sponsors include a number of corporations looking to profit from doing business with our new best buds, the Iranians; Boeing, Airbus, Total SA (a French multi-national oil and gas company) and – oh my, isn’t that interesting – Ploughshares Fund…

… a George Soros-funded nonprofit identified by the Obama White House as central in helping to sell the Iran nuclear deal to the public and news media […]
 
The involvement of Ploughshares in selling the Iran agreement to the public was revealed in an extensive New York Times Magazine profile of Obama’s former deputy national security adviser, Ben Rhodes, titled, “The Aspiring Novelist Who Became Obama’s Foreign-Policy Guru.” The article contains interviews with Rhodes and scores of top Obama administration officials.

 

Questionable judgement.

 
rice&ObamaThen there’s McMaster’s baffling approval of Susan Rice’s top-level security clearance. This despite the fact that Obama’s former national security advisor was implicated in the “unmasking” of numerous American citizens and is still under investigation by a number of different congressional committees ~

National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster let one of his predecessors, Susan Rice, keep her top-level security clearance nearly one month after reports surfaced about Rice’s potential misuse of that clearance […]
 
A White House official told the Standard that revoking Rice’s clearance would have been unusual and that this practice applies to other high level government officials, such as the secretary of state. The reason is “for the purposes of continuity,” because it would be illegal for government officials to discuss certain sensitive information with a former official unless that official had a continued clearance.

That may be, but as Richard Pollock from the Daily Caller told Frank Gaffney earlier this month, considering the fact that Rice is under investigation for breaching public trust, why give her carte blanche access to sensitive information? Her clearance should be significantly downgraded or pulled entirely.

Finally, there’s the purge. McMaster is getting rid of Trump national security council staffers who are pro-Israel and take a hard line on Iran and Islamists ~

McMaster last week fired Ezra Cohen-Watnik, the senior intelligence adviser at the NSC. The week before, he fired Derek Harvey, the NSC’s Middle East adviser. In July, he fired Rich Higgins, the director of strategic planning at the NSC.
 
All three men were brought on board by former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and were fired because they were part of the “nationalist” camp that supported the president, versus McMaster’s “globalist” camp, according to a former White House official.

 

• Cohen-Watnick was a staunch opponent of the Iran nuclear deal and Islamist terrorism, who “wanted to revamp counter-Iran efforts in the Middle East, and sought to reform the intelligence community to rein in the ‘deep state’ of unaccountable bureaucrats with rogue agendas.” Source: Breitbart

Even worse, McMaster is replacing these staffers – who supported the policies we thought Trump stood for – with disloyalists. According to Frank Gaffney ~

“He has been surrounding the president with people who disagree with the president, in some cases, quite vehemently. Former Obama people, holdovers if you will, he refuses to acknowledge that that’s what they are. They agree with McMaster but are not supporting the president’s policies. Some of them, again, brought in, I think, for the purposes of opposing them.
 
“I think this is nothing short of a coup d’etat, in terms at least of the president’s foreign and defense policies. They have been subverted by his National Security adviser and his minions. It must stop.”

 

Daniel Horowitz at Conservative Review agrees, and wonders why Trump continues to support the man ~

Trump’s continued support for McMaster, in conjunction with Mattis and Tillerson, raises the serious question of whether he even cares about many of the issues he ran on during the campaign.

He has brought in Obama’s people for the most important Middle East roles, including Kris Bauman, a Hamas apologists, as the lead advisor on “Palestine,” as he so proudly calls it.
 
He even worked hard to bring on Linda Weissgold, the woman who drafted the original Benghazi talking points, which fabricated the narrative about the Islam video spawning a spontaneous protest. Plus, Dina Habib-Powell has taken over the deputy role from K.T. McFarland. As Daniel Greenfield reminds us, this is a woman with an affinity for Muslim Brotherhood organizations who once bragged about the levels of immigration from the Middle East.
 
This is not just a Bush-style Republican opposed by the hardcore grassroots conservatives. McMaster is the “full Obama.” He is the lowest common denominator of the worst elements of the neo-cons and the Obama acolytes. He is obsessive about intervening in every Islamic civil war with no positive outcome or strategic interest for America, but at the same time he is pro-PLO and passionately supportive of the Iran deal […]
 

The personnel problems explain why McMaster has been such an apologist for the Iran deal and has covered up Iran’s refusal to allow in weapons inspectors to critical sites. McMaster is looking at this crazily backwards: He is obsessed with intervening in Syria to take out Assad but is weak on the problem of Iran, which foments and causes the problems in Syria. McMaster has refused to publicize the 15 side agreements Obama made with Iran.

 

But hey, just how much commitment to undoing the Iran nuclear agreement can we expect from a guy who until last February was consulting for a bunch of Iranian business pals?

McMaster is an anathema to every word uttered by Trump on the campaign trail and in the presidential debates: Moving the embassy to Jerusalem, the Iran deal, aimless involvement in Syria, maintaining ties with the Muslim Brotherhood, mass immigration from the Middle East, and the endless war in Afghanistan.

Speaking at a recent event held by Ploughshares Fund, former Secretary of State John Kerry implied that McMaster is the best bet at keeping the nuclear agreement alive, according to a Ploughshares Fund description of the June 5, 2017 event.

 

Like I said, Hillary would have loved the guy.

 
Instead of criticizing an attorney general that he perceives as disloyal, Mr. Trump should seriously consider getting rid of someone who actually is!

Despite the DPRK menace, God is still in control

As Kim Jong Un ratchets up his nuclear threats, escalating tensions around the globe, Dr. Michael Brown reminds us in this timely and encouraging article who’s ultimately in charge of the North Korean situation (and everything else 🙂 ) ~

It’s easy to forget that we humans are not the only ones calling the shots. In the midst of the choices we make for good or evil, a sovereign King is carrying out His plan. In the words of Daniel, it is God who “removes kings and sets up kings.” (Dan 2:21) Yes, “all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and He does according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And no one can stay His hand or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’” (Dan 4:35)
 
Should we imagine that this same God is sitting by passively, waiting to see what decisions His earthly creation will make? Or, worse still, should we imagine that He is wringing His hands in despair, worried about what Kim Jong Un and others will do?
 
Hardly. Instead, He’s at work, be it overtly and covertly, and He has made His plans as well.

 

We can’t guess at those specific plans but there are some comforting assumptions we can make based on what the Bible tells us about God’s nature and previous interventions with His creation ~

… God cares about the souls of lost men and women (Ezek 18:32); that He desires all to come to repentance and know Him (2 Pet 3:9; 1 Tim 2:1-4); and that He hurts when His children are persecuted for the faith (Acts 9:4). This tells me that, whatever else may be going on, the Lord wants to penetrate the darkness of N. Korea so that His light can shine in.
 
Many of you have seen the satellite image of N. Korea at night, the whole nation in virtual darkness while the surrounding countries are lit up. Well, as it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual. N. Korea is consistently cited as the most dangerous country in the world for a Christian to live.

 
On the other hand, since the Korean War ended, Christianity in the Republic of Korea (South) has grown exponentially. Only 2% of the population in 1945, Christians now represent about 30%. Dr. Brown discusses his experiences in that country over the last several years ~

I’ve ministered in Asia on more than 40 different occasions, including 12 trips to S. Korea. Last year, I participated in a worship and prayer service held right on the DMZ border. It was a unique experience.
 
Naturally, S. Koreans know the danger that lurks to the north, with all its military prowess. That’s one reason that S. Korean Christians pray with such fervor every day. Their lives could literally depend on it.

 
As the North Korean tyrant seems to grow more belligerent by the day we certainly need to pray for a peaceful outcome to the pending crisis. But let’s also pray for a miracle for the poor beleaguered citizens of that country. May God choose this time to bring them out of darkness to the light of His salvation.

While global attention is currently focused on North Korea and that chubby, lunatic Kim Jong Un – rightly so(!) – this is happening in Afghanistan ➡ ISIS And The Taliban Team Up In Afghanistan.
Last weekend these two savage tribes joined forces to murder dozens ~

Taliban and Islamic State militants jointly attacked an Afghan unit in the northern part of the country Saturday (8-5-17), government officials told The New York Times.
 
The attack killed nearly 50 Afghan local police, militia-men loyal to the government, and surrounding civilians. The militants reportedly beheaded some of the victims, but the Taliban denied cooperation with ISIS in the attack, declaring in a statement to CNN that “it is completely wrong, it is propaganda of our enemy, ISIS is our enemy.”
 
Officials, however, noted to The New York Times that interactions between the rival terrorist groups are increasingly complex. ISIS and Taliban militants have repeatedly clashed in the eastern part of the country which serves as ISIS’s headquarters in the region, but have may found common ground in the less contentious parts of the country.
 
“It was a joint [ISIS] and Taliban operation,” the Afghan official in charge of administering the attacked region declared with certainty to reporters after the attack.

 
As Newsweek reported Monday ~

ISIS has slowly developed its presence in the country, particularly in the eastern province of Nangarhar, where Afghan forces, backed by U.S. drone strikes, have been battling the group.

 
Afghanistan is such a mess. U.S. involvement in this civil war, any further investment of American blood and treasure, should be seriously curtailed.
 
Thanks to the corrosive effect of Islam, the country has devolved so rapidly in the last 50 years, it’s difficult to imagine this 14th century nation ever rejoining the rest of us in the 21st.

Scotland finds tourists aren’t particularly fond of ugly wind-farm vistas

More than half of tourists to Scotland would rather not visit scenic areas dominated by man-made structures such as wind farms, a YouGov poll suggests.
 
A survey carried out on behalf of the John Muir Trust (JMT) found that 55% of respondents were “less likely” to venture into areas of the countryside industrialised by giant turbines, electricity pylons and super-quarries.
 
Just 3% said they were “more likely” to visit such areas, while 26% said such large-scale developments would make “no difference”.
 
The poll has rekindled calls for Scottish ministers to increase protection for wild and scenic areas that, it is argued, will protect rural tourism businesses.

The apostasy of painted people

A century ago, you could pay a few cents to see them at the circus sideshow – “Step right up and see the Painted Lady!” These days, painted ladies – and gents – are everywhere you go, and the views are free. Whether you want them or not. And mostly I don’t. Ugh ~

Of course I know I’m terribly old-fashioned, and definitely in the minority when it comes to skin “art” these days – but I can’t get past this:
 

“You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead,
nor tattoo any marks on you; I am the Lord.” ~ Leviticus 19:28

 
nastyTats3Now this admonition is Old Testament, so it’s not particularly binding on Christians. It’s one of the many, many laws and prohibitions that God imposed on the children of Israel. You might be tempted to think all His rules and restrictions were the authoritarian proclamations of a power-hungry tyrant. They weren’t. Instead, they were God’s means of keeping His chosen people separate from the corrupting influence of the surrounding heathen nations. In this way, His ultimate plan for our salvation would reach fulfillment, undefiled, through the Jews, in Jesus Christ His son.
 

The specific rationale for prohibiting cutting and tattooing was because these were pagan practices, likely associated with Egyptian idolatry. According to my MacArthur Study Bible, tattoos were connected to names of idols and were considered permanent signs of apostasy.

If tattoos ever had a singular redeeming quality, the fact they are now inescapable has robbed them of it. Before everyone had one, seeing one was at least exciting. And you had good reason to surmise there was a story behind it. Maybe your uncle’s career as a salesman at IBM didn’t exactly scream international man of mystery, but when he wore the wifebeater at family cookouts you just knew that guy had some tales to tell about what happened on shore leave.

 
Jimmy Buffet called them a “Permanent Reminder of a Temporary Feeling” and “a badge of validation.” Still, over the decades, tattooing has become less a way of making a statement about your loyalty, affiliation or affection, and more about “Hey! Look at me!” ~

If tattoos were once an act of rebellion against cultural norms, now they are a well-established norm. If you want a tattoo, hey, it’s a free country. But it seems many people still get them laboring under the delusion that they’re a hallmark of individualism.
 
The desire to use visual signals on your skin to proclaim yourself unique to people you don’t even know can’t be terribly healthy. It is, in a subtle and penetrating way, kind of selfish. Or maybe my misanthropy is showing, but the omnipresence of people begging to be noticed for such superficial reasons is surely annoying.

And this is where I see body “art” as a form of apostasy. It’s basically rejecting God’s authority for our own.
As Christians, we are to consider our bodies to be temples of the Holy Spirit. I’m pretty sure that precludes using them to call attention to ourselves.

Catholic France surrenders to Islam

“Nature abhors a vacuum.” That’s as true for civilizations as it is for physics. Since France apparently no longer needs God, the colonizing Islamists are happy to fill the void. Tragic but true ~ France: Churches Vanish, Mosques Spring Up.

“Over the past two years, Christian associations have sold nearly 40 churches throughout the country, at prices ranging from 100,000 to 400,000 euros. Twenty-seven other churches have been demolished. According to the Catholic Church, more than 1,000 churches are to be sold or demolished throughout France”.

Because France is totally secular nowadays, this was bound to happen anyway. But thanks to the Muslim hijrah, it’s occurring at a rapidly accelerated pace.
 
Here and there some small but valiant efforts are made to slow the inevitable ~

Inscribed in the depths of our landscape, the churches, the cathedrals and other places of pilgrimage give meaning and form to our patriotism. Let us demand our civil authorities to respect it”. Two years ago, the French journalist Denis Tillinac promoted this appeal, signed by dozens of French personalities, after some French imams requested the conversion of abandoned churches into mosques.
 
A year later, terrorists who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State assaulted the Catholic parishioners in the church of Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, murdering an elderly priest, Father Jacques Hamel, at the foot of the altar. An outpouring of great emotion followed the most serious attack on a Christian symbol in Europe since the Second World War.
 
After that attack, the French authorities prevented many Islamist plots against the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Last June, police shot a Muslim man outside the cathedral after he tried to attack them with a hammer. Another terror cell of French women, guided by Islamic State commanders in Syria, had previously been foiled before they could attack Notre Dame. France’s most famous Catholic house of worship is a prime target for the jihadists. At the same time, France has been dismissing the religious and cultural heritage of France’s Catholic patrimony, which, in a time of religious clashes and revival, should instead be protected as treasures and sources of strength.

 

The French people may think they don’t need God anymore. One only needs to study human history to realize they’re mistaken. Seems the dreadful lesson the 20th century taught the world was completely lost on them; going “godless” inevitably results in huge piles of dead bodies. See: 100 Million Corpses in 100 Years.
 
They could use another Joan of Arc to rally the faithful. If there are any faithful left…

Conveniently forgotten are the horrors that Imperial Japan inflicted on America and her allies – not to mention on their own people. “Former felon” now a resume enhancement for blue city mayoral candidates?

Blue city citizens just don’t seem to get it. They have a front row to the destruction wrought by Democrat/progressive policies and somehow they think lowering the standards for elected officials will help ~ Half of Detroit’s 8 mayoral candidates are… felons 😯 ~

Detroit — Half of the eight mayoral hopefuls on Detroit’s primary ballot next week have been convicted of felony crimes involving drugs, assault or weapons, a Detroit News analysis shows.

Three were charged with gun crimes and two for assault with intent to commit murder. Some of the offenses date back decades, the earliest to 1977. The most recent was in 2008.

 

Stuck on “stupid?”

Commenting on this recent revelation, Andrew Malcolm points out some sad truths about many blue towns ~

Democrats run two-thirds of the United States’ 100 largest cities, including New York, Los Angeles and, of course, Chicago. All are experiencing serious problems and with the turn-of-the-century two-term exceptions of New York under Rudy Giuliani and Richard Riordan in LA, enduring long periods of one-party control.

 
It’s been 55 years since Detroit elected a Republican mayor, just about the length of Detroit’s decline, as it plummeted from the nation’s automotive capital and one of the top 10 cities. Billions have been spent trying to renew the people and place.
 
Four years ago with an estimated $20 billion in debts, Detroit declared the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history. That same year Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick began his 28-year prison sentence with no chance of parole for corruption and perjury.
 
It’s been a tough political road for America’s big cities under one-party rule that prohibits political cleansing. Chicago hasn’t had a Republican mayor in 86 years.

 
Here in Michigan it’s not just the big city that’s in trouble. Flint installed a scofflaw city council not long before their infamous water crisis ~

As the city decays, it seems Flint’s discerning voters have developed an affinity for criminals. Last month (Nov. 2013) they elected to city council two convicted felons, and two others with bankruptcies. Sad but true.

 
And our state capital isn’t far behind Detroit in fielding felonious mayoral hopefuls ~ Another Lansing mayoral candidate charged with felony assault ~

Trevino’s father, Daniel Dario Trevino, had planned to run in the race but told the State Journal he decided not to because he was convicted of a felony in 2002, which prohibits him from holding elected office.

Another Lansing mayoral candidate, former city council president Harold Leeman Jr., is currently awaiting trial on a felony embezzlement charge. Officials say Leeman failed to turn in proceeds from a concession stand at Lansing’s Gier Park and reimbursed himself for too much gas.

At one time, most states prohibited anyone ever convicted of a felony from voting. Oddly enough, Americans actually believed that if you were demonstrating poor judgement by breaking the law that irresponsible attitude would probably carry over into the voting booth, and we would eventually end up with critically flawed elected officials. What a crazy concept.

Democrats, realizing that missing out on the felon vote put them at a serious disadvantage, have consistently pushed for this restriction to be removed. In characteristic Orwellian fashion, they refer to the common sense prohibition as “felony disenfranchisement.” (Don’t bother pointing out that it was self-disenfranchisement.)
 
Unfortunately for we-the-law-abiding, most of the country now allows felons to vote in some capacity, including the Great Lakes State. As the Law Offices of Barton Morris helpfully point out for the civic-minded ex-con here in Michigan ~

In Michigan a felon has an absolute right to vote except when they are incarcerated in jail a or prison at the time of the election. There are no election booths in jail. Despite Michigan law, many felons believe they have lost their right to vote so they don’t do it. A felon’s vote counts as much as anyones. If given a chance, encourages [sic] felons to vote in our elections.

 

So while they can’t lawfully own a firearm, carry a concealed weapon, join the military, own a liquor license or obtain a gaming license, as we know now – in Michigan felons can vote AND… they can definitely run for office. Hey, let’s make those cities great again!

The cyber-spies, the DNC chair and the Muslim Brotherhood

In a much more substantive and serious breach of national security than the make-believe “Russian collusion” story the media has been so obsessed with, former DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) seems to have been harboring an entire nest of Muslim-Pakistani cyber criminals – for years. And Dems have been feathering that cozy nest with large chunks of we-the-people’s cash.

While the mainstream media is dutifully looking the other way, it seems Imran Awan – who until last week was Wasserman Schultz’ main IT (information technology) guy – is suddenly in very hot water. FBI agents arrested him on July 24th while he was attempting to flee the country for his native Pakistan. Awan is charged with bank fraud in connection with wiring $283,000 from the Congressional Federal Credit Union to that country.
 
But that’s just the tip of this shady iceberg. In his usual thorough fashion, Andrew C. McCarthy recounts what is turning out to be a very troubling tale of subterfuge, conspiracy and possible blackmail ~ Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the Pakistani IT Scammers ~

Awan and his family cabal of fraudsters (a couple brothers and their wives) had access for years to the e-mails and other electronic files of members of the House’s Intelligence and Foreign Affairs Committees. It turns out they were accessing members’ computers without their knowledge, transferring files to remote servers, and stealing computer equipment — including hard drives that Awan & Co. smashed to bits of bytes before making tracks.
 
They were fired in February. All except Awan, that is. He continued in the employ of Wasserman Schultz, the Florida Democrat, former DNC chairwoman, and Clinton crony. She kept him in place at the United States Congress right up until he was nabbed at the airport on Monday.
 
This is not about bank fraud. The Awan family swindles are plentiful, but they are just window-dressing. This appears to be a real conspiracy, aimed at undermining American national security.

 

Here’s some background on the ring leader ~

At the time of his arrest, the 37-year-old Imran Awan had been working for Democrats as an information technologist for 13 years. He started out with Representative Gregory Meeks (D., N.Y.) in 2004. The next year, he landed on the staff of Wasserman Schultz, who had just been elected to the House.
 
Congressional-staff salaries are modest, in the $40,000 range. For some reason, Awan was paid about four times as much. He also managed to get his wife, Alvi, on the House payroll . . . then his brother, Abid Awan . . . then Abid’s wife, Natalia Sova. The youngest of the clan, Awan’s brother Jamal, came on board in 2014 — the then-20-year-old commanding an annual salary of $160,000.

Five members of a Pakistani family under criminal investigation for allegedly misusing their positions as computer administrators for dozens of Democrats in the House of Representatives were paid at least $4 million from July 2009 to the present.

 

According to McCarthy, that’s only the money we know about ~

The family business evidently dabbles in procurement fraud, too. The Capitol Police and FBI are exploring widespread double-billing for computers, other communication devices, and related equipment.

 

Beyond the money, what we all should be wondering about is how in the hell these folks were ever given access to highly sensitive information without proper vetting!

These characters could not possibly have qualified. Never mind access; it’s hard to fathom how they retained their jobs. The Daily Caller has also discovered that the family, which controlled several properties, was involved in various suspicious mortgage transfers. Abid Awan, while working “full-time” in Congress, ran a curious auto-retail business called “Cars International A” (yes, CIA), through which he was accused of stealing money and merchandise. In 2012, he discharged debts in bankruptcy (while scheming to keep his real-estate holdings). Congressional Democrats hired Abid despite his drunk-driving conviction a month before he started at the House, and they retained him despite his public-drunkenness arrest a month after. Beyond that, he and Imran both committed sundry vehicular offenses. In civil lawsuits, they are accused of life-insurance fraud.

 

Stellar citizens aren’t they? And, as Judge Napolitano told Stuart Varney on Fox Business Network on Monday, there’s no telling what information Awam may have on whom, and who he may have already sold it to ~

(T)his was at the time that Congresswoman Schultz was also the chair of the Democratic National Committee. So at this point I don’t believe they know what he sold, and to whom he sold it – but they do know what he had access to, which is virtually everything in the House of representatives, which would include classified material in the House intelligence committee.

 

What’s especially troubling about this scandal is that, considering the outlandish salaries the Awans were collecting, and the unchecked access they were given to extremely sensitive information, it’s not difficult to imagine a blackmailing scenario evolving. It seems particularly plausible since, even though she was well aware that Capitol police were investigating Awan and his family, Wasserman-Schultz didn’t fire him until he had actually been arrested and she really had no other choice.

 
As far back as February, Daniel Greenfield was reporting at FrontPage Mag that Awan & Co. was already under investigation for suspicious activities involving sensitive data ~

Imran Awan and his two brothers, Jamal and Abid, are at the center of an investigation that deals with, among other things, allegations of illegal access. They have been barred from the House of Representatives network.
 
A member of Congress expressed concern that, “they may have stolen data from us.”

 
Greenfield provides a list of the various congressional offices (all Democrats) and committees for which the three Pakistanis provided IT services. The most concerning of these is Rep. André Carson (D-IN) ~

Carson is the second Muslim in Congress and the first Muslim on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and, more critically, is the ranking member on its Emerging Threats Subcommittee. He is also a member of the Department of Defense Intelligence and Overhead Architecture Subcommittee.
 
The Emerging Threats Subcommittee, of which Carson is a ranking member, is responsible for much of counterterrorism oversight. It is the worst possible place for a man with Carson’s credentials.

Carson had inherited his grandmother’s seat and exploited it to promote a radical Islamist agenda. He has interfaced with a laundry list of Islamist groups from CAIR to ISNA to ICNA to MPAC. Islamists have funded Carson’s career to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars. The Center for Security Policy has put together a dossier of Carson’s connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. The Brotherhood is the parent organization of many key Islamic terror groups posing a threat to our national security including Al Qaeda and Hamas.

 
Keep in mind, the Brotherhood’s self-declared mission in America is: “a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands [i.e., those of non-Muslims] and those of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” [Source: Center for Security Policy]
 

The presence of Andre Carson on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Emerging Threats Subcommittee has always been extremely controversial. But this latest breach involving Democrats on this committee and on other key national security committees raises serious questions about the scale and magnitude of the real problem caused by a compromised congress.
 
While Carson and other HPSCI Democrats had been demanding security clearance for their staffers, three Pakistani Muslims working for them appear to have compromised security to an unknown degree.

 

What passes for the news media in this country needs to dump their partisan politics and their phony Trump-talked-to-Russia crap and get to the bottom of what appears to be an egregious national security breach here. Furthermore, as Greenfield stated months ago…

The most obvious lesson here is that security must be tightened. If Democrats refuse to take their responsibilities seriously, then President Trump must do it for them. Until the Awan case is resolved, those Democrats who employed them must have their access to classified material restricted.
 
Under no circumstances may the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence members who employed the Awan brothers be permitted to allow their staffers to gain access to classified material.
 
And Andre Carson must be forced to choose between his Islamist ties and his membership in the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Emerging Threats Subcommittee. No one should be allowed to have a foot in both the pro-terrorist and the counter-terrorist spheres of our society.
 
Congressional Republicans must take the lead in cleaning house. If they cannot do so, President Trump must step in. At stake are the security of our nation and the safety of our troops. The Democrats may have abandoned their responsibility to our brave men and women, from the battlefield to the VA, but those elected officials who still believe that their sacrifices matter cannot remain silent.

Wasserman Schultz Apparently Planned to Pay House IT Suspect in Pakistan ~

Public statements and congressional payroll records suggest Wasserman Schultz, chairman of the Democratic Party until last year, also appears to have known that Awan’s wife, also an information technology staffer, had left the country for good months ago — while she was a criminal suspect.
 
In all, six months of actions reveal a decision to continue paying a man who seemingly could not have been providing services to her, and who a mountain of evidence suggests was a liability. The man long had access to all of Wasserman Schultz’s computer files, work emails, and personal emails, and he was recently accused by a relative in court documents of wiretapping and extortion.
