Masterpiece Decision: Supreme Court Pushes Back Against the Rising Tide of Anti-Religious Animus!
The alternative would have pretty much rendered the First Amendment moot.

The case before the court, Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, was not – as the deceitful, leftist media is trying to spin it – a matter of not serving gays. It was a dispute over whether or not the state has the right to force a business owner to provide a service that violates their deeply-held religious convictions.

Dr. Michael Brown shared his thoughts on the decision at The Stream ~

In a 7-2 decision, the court specifically rebuked the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, which had ruled against Phillips when he refused to design a wedding cake for a same-sex “marriage.” As expressed in the majority opinion of Anthony Kennedy, “The Commission’s hostility was inconsistent with the First Amendment’s guarantee that our laws be applied in a manner that is neutral toward religion” […]

Today, the Supreme Court took an important step in recognizing that the First Amendment remains in force. It also confirmed what I have said for years, namely, that LGBT activism is the principle threat to freedoms of religion, speech, and conscience in America. May the pushback against this extremism continue.

We definitely do need to continue the pushback (You can help by supporting Alliance Defending Freedom – the organization that represented Masterpiece Cakeshop – and similar non-profits; American Center for Law and Justice, First Liberty, Liberty Counsel and Thomas More Society).

Usually when progressives are faced with something they perceive as a setback to their radical ideological agenda – like this SCOTUS decision – they double-down on the vitriol, hate and deceit. So we should brace for renewed attacks. And let’s keep praying!

Progressives in the media have no respect for the traditions and structure of the branches of the government. As soon as one issues a decision based on anything but liberal ideology, the world is over.

After the Supreme Court released their decision in the case of Masterpiece Cakeshop LTD. vs. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, in favor of the baker, Jack Phillips, the media went on a rampage.

Stop Misrepresenting Masterpiece Cakeshop ~ David French at National Review, last November ~

In the run-up to the oral arguments in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission on December 5, we’re seeing a lot of table-pounding from the Left. In fact, I’ve never seen a case more mischaracterized in my entire legal career.

The actual facts of the case are crystal clear. Jack Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, refused to custom-design a cake to help celebrate a gay wedding. As a Christian, he finds same-sex unions to be unbiblical and immoral, and he wasn’t willing to use his artistic talents to advance a message he holds to be wrong. In fact, he’d frequently declined to design cakes that advanced messages he found to be offensive. But he never, ever — not once — discriminated against any customers on the basis of their identity. He baked cakes for people of all races, creeds, colors, and sexual orientations.
