Instead of being returned to the prison he was at prior to this hearing date, he’s been sent back to a prison that is notorious for it’s overcrowding and it is a prison where eight prisoners are to be held in one cell. Instead, there are 22,” said American Center for Law and Justice Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow on his podcast.

Brunson has been imprisoned for 18 months in both grossly overcrowded prison cells and solitary confinement.

Pastor Brunson took the stand Monday and did his best to convince the court to give him his freedom. He faces 35 years in prison.
“I’ve never done something against Turkey. I love Turkey. I’ve been praying for Turkey for 25 years. I want truth to come out,” Brunson told the court, according to Reuters. “I do not accept the charges mentioned in the indictment. I was never involved in any illegal activities.”
This is reminiscent of the old Soviet-style “justice” system – truly outrageous! Instead of bombing Syria (over unsubstantiated allegations of a chemical weapons attack), the U.S. should be pressuring that evil thug Erdoğan to release this innocent Christian from a Turkish hellhole!

Have you seen those irritating commercials for the HPV vaccine featuring a couple annoying teenagers confronting their parents with “Mom, Dad, did you know?” As in, did you know you were supposed to get me vaccinated against sexually-transmitted diseases when I was like twelve years-old? I always have to snap back at the TV “Son, daughter, did you know that that screwing around before you’re married is detrimental to your physical and emotional health?”
No they don’t. Because someone forgot to tell these youngsters that avoiding premarital sex entirely is the only effective way to prevent STDs. (Not to mention pregnancy.) And that participating in today’s hook-up culture sets up a young person for a lifetime of troubled relationships.
Of course that old-fashioned sexual morality was tossed out way back in the 60’s. But maybe it’s time we started to look around at all the negative social and medical consequences of the infamous sexual revolution.
For starters – just the fact that we need a vaccination, to prevent cancer that may develop from the human papillomavirus, which is spread via sexual intercourse – should tell us that we might want to rethink our lax behaviors. If you never smoke, your chances of getting lung cancer are greatly reduced. Similarly, if you don’t sleep around, you’ll significantly reduce your chance of developing cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, vulvar anal, penile, and mouth/throat cancers.

I happened to catch Glenn Beck last week talking to a man named Bob Goff – (can’t believe I hadn’t heard of him before!) author of the bestselling book Love Does: Discover a Secretly Incredible Life in an Ordinary World and Everybody, Always: Becoming Love in a World Full of Setbacks and Difficult People, which debuts this week.
What a truly amazing, engaging guy. A lawyer by trade, I think his avocation now may be simply a professional Jesus-follower. Goff literally goes around the globe looking for opportunities to “do good.” His non-profit foundation Love Does, provides aid to struggling communities in areas of conflict around the world, with a particular focus on building schools for some of the most disadvantaged kids.

The IDF killed nine Palestinians and wounded hundreds with live fire as soldiers defended Israel’s border fence with the Gaza Strip from infiltration on Friday in what was the second deadliest day since the “Great March of Return” began on March 30.
Amid warnings from Israel and the US to stay at least 500 meters from the border, Palestinians brought masses of tires to burn, using the smoke to shield their movements from the IDF.
Naturally, as Elder of Zion reports, with regard to the death of a Palestinian photo-journalist ~ Hamas’ tire burning successfully blinds Washington Post ~
Again, the incident needs to be investigated and the IDF has done a terrible job explaining its position. But the only ones who benefit from the accidental shooting of a journalist is Hamas, and the Washington Post was obligated to draw the clear line from Hamas policy to the dead journalist. And in that, it failed.
For an objective picture of what was happening on the border here’s an account from Richard Kemp, a former commander of British forces in Afghanistan ~

Andrew Minik, president of Turning Point USA at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, was impeached from his position as Chair of the Committee of Diversity and Inclusion (CoDI) after enduring a hearing that included accusations of using his own minority status to marginalize other minorities.

Remember decades ago when “intolerance” was the worst sin progressives could pin on you? Every time we conservatives tried to push back against their radical social agenda they demanded to know “Who are you to judge? You bigot!” Well, once they started down that road – misapplying Scripture and bastardizing the English language – it was inevitable: the Left has turned into the very scourge they accused the Right of being: INTOLERANT.

Kevin Williamson Fired From The Atlantic For Opposing Abortion ~
Kevin Williamson, a longtime columnist for National Review, was fired for his opinions on abortion within two weeks of the announcement of his new gig at The Atlantic. After The Atlantic announced they were hiring Williamson, the usual suspects freaked out and proceeded to dig up old tweets and audio to get the magazine’s management to change their minds.
From what I know of him, Kevin Williamson is not exactly my cup of tea; a libertarian (which I always read as “libertine,”) and an ardent anti-Trumper. But that doesn’t mean he might not frequently have something relevant and thought-proving to share. As John Zmirak stated ~
Williamson is a genuine conservative. Pro-life, pro gun rights, sane on immigration. And he writes quite well, if sometimes too acerbically….
So his presence at The Atlantic would have benefited its readers. You know, by making them think.
[For the record, it was a tweet that seems to have inflamed the Left. Williamson opined that anyone having or performing an abortion should be punished. He is pro-life, but essentially was wondering If we give legal rights to children in the womb, what do we do to those who violate them?.
Abortion is an issue that deserves open and honest discussion/debate. The Left just wants everyone who doesn’t agree with them to shut-up.]
Unfortunately, as Kevin may be realizing too late, if you’ve ever deviated by the slightest degree from today’s unforgiving progressive dogma, you will be shamed, riduculed, ostracized – and yes, even fired.
As former colleague David French wrote at National Review,
(Williamson’s) millions of words, his countless interviews, and his personal character were reduced to nothing — inconsequential in the face of deleted tweets and a five-minute podcast dialogue.
… Kevin is one of our most interesting and talented voices. Like every single interesting and talented person I know, he can provoke. But so what? Aren’t we adults? Can’t we handle disagreement? Apparently not.
And in silencing dissent, the Left certainly has turned Saul Alinsky’s 13th Rule for Radicals into an art form ~
RULE 13: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.
