Department of Justice perpetrates more INjustice

OK. I’m running out of adjectives to describe the endless stream of outrageously autocratic antics foisted upon us by this audaciously tyrannical administration. The latest revelation is enough to make you think we’ve turned into Cuba: Newly Released Documents Detail the Department of Justice’s Role in Organizing Trayvon Martin Protests ~

Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained documents proving that the Department of Justice played a major behind-the-scenes role in organizing protests against George Zimmerman. Zimmerman is on trial for second-degree murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in February 2012.

 

Poor George Zimmerman must feel like he’s fallen into a Franz Kafka novel! The full weight of the federal government deployed to prosecute and prejudice the case against you?! So much for “justice is blind” and “innocent until proven guilty.”
 
What Judical Watch found was that a little known unit of DOJ, oddly-named “Community Relations Service” (CRS), had actually been sent down to Florida to specifically organize and manage rallies against Zimmerman. Are you kidding me??!!
 
According the documents Judicial Watch obtained from DOJ under FOIA (Freedom of Information Act), CRS incurred the following expenses:
 

• March 25 – 27, 2012: CRS spent $674.14 upon being “deployed to Sanford, FL, to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.”
• March 25 – 28, 2012: CRS spent $1,142.84 “in Sanford, FL to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.
• March 30 – April 1, 2012: CRS spent $892.55 in Sanford, FL “to provide support for protest deployment in Florida.”

• March 30 – April 1, 2012: CRS spent an additional $751.60 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance to the City of Sanford, event organizers, and law enforcement agencies for the march and rally on March 31.”
• April 3 – 12, 2012: CRS spent $1,307.40 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance, conciliation, and onsite mediation during demonstrations planned in Sanford.”
• April 11 – 12, 2012: CRS spent $552.35 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance for the preparation of possible marches and rallies related to the fatal shooting of a 17 year old African American male.”

 
Now recall, all the while these activities were taking place, the president and his lawless attorney general were carrying out their own roles in the whole agit-prop scenario back in D.C.. As the Daily Beast reported last April 2nd; Obama, Holder, and the treacherous politics of race ~

Eric Holder Jr. left the comfortable confines of the Justice Department for the Old Executive Office Building, where 150 black ministers awaited him. Outside, across the country, outraged African-Americans were massing to protest the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, demanding justice for the unarmed teen killed by a neighborhood-watch captain. […]
 
“I knew [Trayvon] would be on the ministers’ minds,” Holder told Newsweek. 😉

 
How prescient of him.

Then there was Obama: “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.”
 
And who can forget the Hoodie Brigade?

We pretty much guessed that the administration was manipulating this tragedy for their own nefarious purposes. But just how egregiously deceitful they were, using government resources to flagrantly subvert justice, is absolutely stunning.
 
 

I guess I can still come up with the adjectives – but somehow they’re losing their potency from overuse…

Death Valley National Park, Furnace Creek, CA is commemorating the anniversary today, with speakers and everything ~
 

At 4:00 pm they’ll be venturing outdoors to take the official temperature; forecast is for a high of a mere 118°F.

 
So it doesn’t look like they’ll beat the record tomorrow, but they have been reaching the low 120°s lately; Death Valley temps may tie record as heat wave bakes West.

Broken Homes = Broken Lives

At the risk of alienating every divorced parent I know, there’s a reason that we used to call them – before political correctness took over – broken homes. A recent study out of the UK seems to confirm what most of us have already realized instinctively. Last Friday, the Daily Mail published this article ~
 
The terrible toll of making divorce easier: Children are more likely to be violent, take drugs and have underage sex
• Divorce has a major effect on every facet of a child’s later life
• Relaxation of divorce laws have seen number of broken homes increase
 

A report by Liverpool John Moores University and the NHS (Britain’s national health service) found that children who have been through family break-ups are far more likely to be violent, unhappy and feel unfulfilled throughout their lives ~

Researchers found that the turmoil endured by youngsters has a crucial influence on nearly every facet of their later life.
 
A cross-section of 1,500 people were asked if they had faced a range of 11 circumstances, known as adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), covering abuse, family break-up, being raised with domestic violence and drink or drug addiction.

 
 

Coupled with details of their current lives, the research revealed the legacy of broken homes appears to weigh more heavily than any other factor, as among the worst affected group – those with four or more ACEs – two thirds had seen their parents go their separate ways, compared with an average of 24 per cent.

 
The report’s lead author, Professor Mark Bellis, apparently found the results somewhat unexpected ~

“We were surprised at just how pervasive the effects of early years experiences really are. These results underline the critical importance of a person’s start in life.”

 

However, Norman Wells of the Family Education Trust (a campaign group which researches the causes and consequences of family breakdown), was not surprised ~

“Casting aside traditional patterns of family life carries a high price tag in terms of the health, education and employment prospects of the next generation. The relaxation of divorce laws – along with the increasing proportion of births outside marriage – has resulted in a growing number of children lacking the benefit of being raised by both their natural parents in a stable unit.”

 

I agree with Mr. Wells. Unfortunately, given human nature, these sad findings were fairly predictable. When mommy and daddy reject each other, how does a child ever feel secure in the belief that he or she won’t be rejected as well?
 
And despite the best of intentions, that insecurity is almost certain to manifest itself later in the child’s life.

Hired Hoes?

More hapless tools of the pro-abort gang…
 
 
And it’s just possible that they may have been paid to be clueless; Obama-Linked Abortion Group ran an ad offering to pay for Texas Protesters.
 
An organization called “Grassroots (that’s Newspeak for Big-Brother-Socialists’-funded) Campaigns” was actually advertising on Craig’s List for abortion activists for “our Pro Choice Campaign in Austin,” offering to pay $1300-$2200/month ~

The Craig’s List Ad was taken down sometime this morning (July 2nd) after news of it began to circulate among pro-life activists on Facebook, but Operation Rescue archived the ad before it’s removal.
 
On the Grassroots Campaigns web site, the group states that it works to hire activists in the areas of “environmental protection, LGBT equality, poverty and social justice.” It notes that it has joined forces with the radically liberal organization MoveOn.org and other leftist groups were heavily involved in the Obama re-election campaign as well as radical environmental groups.
 
“It is clear that militant left-wing activists are being paid in an outrageous effort to disrupt the legislative process in Texas and manipulate the public into thinking that the pro-abortion crowds shown on the evening news are organically generated. The reality is that hired thugs are being brought in by Obama Administration leftists to thwart the true will of the people who support this common-sense abortion bill by no less than 64%,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue.

Rabid Pro-Aborts – the Mask Drops

Whoa – if you weren’t sure whose side the pro-choice crowd was on before, this tale out of Texas should clear things right up for you. Rather shocked to find “Hail Satan” trending on Twitter Wednesday night, I did some fast clicking and quickly learned that on Tuesday, at the state capitol in Austin, Abortion Supporters Chant(ed) ‘Hail Satan!’ to Drown Out Pro-Lifers Singing ‘Amazing Grace’ ~
 

Really. The Blaze has the full story, including video, and more disturbing details than you probably care to know ~

The abortion battle in Texas was still raging Tuesday as both abortion supporters and pro-life activists flooded the State Capitol to make their voices heard. The Texas House and Senate reconvened briefly for a special session called by Gov. Rick Perry.
 
One of the more bizarre tactics used by pro-abortion activists involved chanting “Hail Satan!” to harass a pro-life crowd as they sang “Amazing Grace.”

 
The protests are part of the drama surrounding a proposed state law that would;

would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, require that the procedure be performed at ambulatory surgical centers, mandate that doctors who perform abortions obtain admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles and that even nonsurgical abortions take place in a surgical center.

 
 

 
Apparently those conditions are much too restrictive for the Margaret Sanger crowd.
 
 
Seems to me that if you were the least bit ambivalent about the whole abortion issue, this angry mob, demanding the “right” to destroy unborn babies, would convince you than there’s a much darker force at work here…

This week Roger Simon at PJ Media asks the question: “Is America in a Pre-Revolutionary State this July 4th?”
To which I respond, if it isn’t – it sure in the hell should be!
 
 
Here’s Simon’s perspective – with which I totally concur ~

We are two-thirds of the way into the most incompetent presidency in our history. People everywhere are fed up. Even many of the so-called liberals who propelled Barack Obama into office have stopped defending him in the face of an unprecedented number of scandals coming at us one after the other like hideous monsters in some non-stop computer game. […]
 
…everywhere we look on this July Fourth sees a great civilization in decline. And much of that decline can be laid at the foot of the incumbent. Especially his own people, African Americans, have suffered. Their unemployment numbers are catastrophic, their real needs ignored while hustlers like Sharpton, Jackson, and, sadly, even the president fan the flames of non-existent racism.

 
To illustrate the extent of our lost liberty and America’s subsequent decline, I’m re-publishing a post of mine from Independence Day, July 2011. Included is a list of some of the grievances the colonists held against King George. As more time passes, it’s uncanny how similar these 18th century injustices were to the soft tyranny we’re witnessing today.
 
It’s almost as if Obama is deliberately using Great Britain’s actions against the original colonies as a present day blueprint.

Liberty or Tyranny? (Here we go again?)

[That last line always gives me the chills. Is there anyone in Congress today with the courage and convictions of those 56 brave men?]

 
Listed in between the introduction and the conclusion of the Declaration of Independence are the numerous grievances the colonies held against the King of England. Many of them sound vaguely, even disturbingly, similar to the actions/attitudes of our current King (– oops!) President.
I’m just saying…

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
 
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
 
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
 
He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
 
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.
 
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended legislation:
 
For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
 
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
 
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
 
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

 
So 235 years later, what are We the People living under today? Liberty or Tyranny?

We certainly are, and I am of two minds about it. Like so many Americans, I have lived a comfortable, privileged life, vastly so compared to most of human history.
 
But I am filled with foreboding about what’s to come, indeed about what is already here. When I look at the masses swarming in Tahrir Square, I am at once repelled and attracted, repelled because, to be honest, I find their culture more than a bit crazy, but attracted because I know something is seriously wrong, not just in Egypt but in the USA.

 
Contrary to the mischaracterization by leftists and the mainstream media, the Tea Party has never advocated a physical war to take back our country, our Constitution, and our liberty.
 
The Tea Party has simply been reminding our elected representatives who’s supposed to be in charge. And helping the rest of the country recall our amazing American heritage – and re-claiming our Constitutional Republic before it’s too late.

The UK’s Assault on Free Speech

Back in 2009, radio talk-show host and author Michael Savage was banned from entering the UK. His crime, according to the then-Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, was apparently; adhering to the wrong values ~

“I think it’s important that people understand the sorts of values and sorts of standards that we have here, the fact that it’s a privilege to come and the sort of things that mean you won’t be welcome in this country. […]
 
“If you can’t live by the rules that we live by, the standards and the values that we live by, we should exclude you from this country and, what’s more, now we will make public those people that we have excluded.” ~ Jacqui Smith

 

At the time, Savage was on an excluded persons list that included such illustrious individuals as Hamas MP Yunis Al-Astal, Jewish extremist Mike Guzovsky, former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard Stephen Donald Black and neo-Nazi Erich Gliebe. How his falls in the same category as these racist, totalitarian types is a mystery.
 
His extreme views are, basically, that 1.) borders, language and culture matter, and that 2.) Western Civilization is worth defending. 😯 Radical.
 
Three years ago, Savage spoke with Jennifer Harper at The Washington Times ~

All governments are essentially amoral. I had hopes but did not expect this ‘new’ UK government to restore sanity to Britain. They are still pandering to the Muslim masses. To continue to martyr me by including me on a list of known murderers and terrorists is bad enough but for the U.S. and Western media which considers itself ‘progressive’ to continue to ignore this outrage against freedom of speech is indicative that the media and governments are one and the same. This includes so-called conservatives. Has freedom of the press become greed-om of the press?”

Last week the Banned-in-Britain Club was expanded to include a couple new members; Pamela Gellar and Robert Spencer (both are authors, speakers, bloggers – and vocal opponents of Islamic extremism) ~

UK Bans Two Prominent American Bloggers From Entering the Country.

The two had been scheduled to speak at an English Defence League rally ~

But that’s not happening. Both Geller and Spencer were denied entry into the UK by the Home Secretary’s office. Among the reasons given, their presence is “not conducive to the public good.”

 
Essentially, they’re persona non grata for telling the truth about Islam, Jihad and Muslim extremists.
 

“My crime? My principled dedication to freedom. I am a human rights activist dedicated to freedom of speech, freedom of conscience and individual rights for all before the law. I fiercely oppose violence and the persecution and oppression of minorities under supremacist law. […]

Robert Spencer says he’s basically been black-balled for accurately quoting Muhammad and various Islamic extremists; “Yes, You Can Tell the Truth About Jihad Violence in Britain (As Long As You’re For It).”
