Thanks to the courageous persistence of the Allied Forces, both Adolf Hitler and his march of terror across Europe were finally terminated in 1945. Tragically, not soon enough for more than 6 million Jews, and other assorted “undesirables” who perished in the Holocaust.

[Murdered along with the Jews were Roma (Gypsies), Jehovah’s Witnesses, homosexuals, those with mental and physical disabilities, political prisoners and recidivist criminals. “Asocials,” the Nazis called them.]
 
 
Starting in January 1945, one by one, the concentration camps that the Germans hadn’t already dismantled were liberated by the allies:
 

• Auschwitz, Poland – liberated by the Soviets (January)
• Sachsenhausen, Germany – liberated by the Soviets (April)
• Ravensbrück, Germany – liberated by the Soviets (April)
• Buchenwald, Germany – liberated by the Americans (April)
• Dora-Mittelbau, Germany – liberated by the Americans (April)
• Flossenbürg, Germany – liberated by the Americans (April)
• Dachau, Germany – liberated by the Americans (April)
• Stutthof, Germany – liberated by the Soviets in (May)
• Neuengamme, Germany – liberated by the British (May)
• Mauthausen, Austria – liberated by the Americans (May)
• Bergen-Belsen, Germany – liberated by the British (May)

Sadly, Europe’s collective memory seems to be failing when it comes to recalling the horrors of World War II and the Nazi atrocities. Too many seem to have forgotten that, aiming to ameliorate Germany’s economic woes and restore her former “greatness,” Hitler’s initial ploy was to scapegoat the Jews.
(This is actually a favorite tactic of “community organizers,” aka “community agiatators.” Think Ferguson and demonizing white cops. Facts actually get in the way of their nefarious objectives.)
 
And so, here we go again. In the last few years anti-Semitism has returned to the continent with a vengeance.
 
 

More than three years ago – in Spain ~

According to a recent poll by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 62.2% of university students believe that “the Jews are powerful because they control the economy and the mass media”. More than 60% of Spanish university students say they do not want Jewish classmates.

 
France, with the largest Muslim population in Europe, is less and less safe for Jews

The number of Jews leaving France for Israel has climbed steeply since 2012, when four people were killed in an attack on a Jewish school in Toulouse by another Islamist extremist.

Even in Britain ~

At dinner recently, a Jewish friend shocked me. “We’ve been thinking about whether we should get out sooner rather than later,” Anna said. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, Anna, her husband and their three lovely kids are as British as you or me.
 
Sadly, it looks like she was merely giving voice to a widespread unease. Anti-semitism is nowhere near as bad here as it is in France, but a new poll reveals that more than half of British Jews fear that they have no future in the UK. British society is at a “tipping point” with Jewish families increasingly questioning whether to stay in the country. To make matters worse, a YouGov poll found that 45 per cent of Britons agreed with at least one of four anti-semitic statements.

As Mark Steyn relates in his excellent article: A Judenrein Europe, the Jews are always the canaries in the coal mine ~

European leaders like (French president) M Hollande insist they’re able to protect the Jewish community – or at least hold the remorseless picking-off of their members to manageable levels. The leader of the continent’s biggest Jewish group is disinclined to take such assurances:
 

In a letter sent to interior ministries around Europe and obtained by Newsweek, Rabbi Menachem Margolin, director general of the Rabbinical Centre of Europe (RCE) and the European Jewish Association (EJA) – the largest federation of Jewish organizations and communities in Europe – writes: “We hereby ask that gun licensing laws are reviewed with immediate effect to allow designated people in the Jewish communities and institutions to own weapons for the essential protection of their communities, as well as receiving the necessary training to protect their members from potential terror attacks.”

 
Alarm bells are ringing loudly… But it remains to be seen whether Europe’s leaders have the moral clarity and courage to stand up to, not just the radical Muslims, but the latent anti-Semitic element in their native populations.

As Steyn concludes ~

Pre-war Europeans would never have entertained for a moment the construction of mosques from Malmö to Marseilles. But post-war Holocaust guilt, and the revulsion against nationalism and the embrace of multiculturalism and mass immigration, enabled the Islamization of Europe. The principal beneficiaries of the Continent’s penance for the great moral stain of the 20th century turned out to be the Muslims — with the Jews on the receiving end, yet again.

Expose: Europes’s Judenrein Universities ~ Jews are being expelled from academia, just as they were in the 1930’s. Is Europe going to let this happen again barely 70 years later?

You wouldn’t know it from watching the network news, but the bodies are piling up as Ukraine’s conflict with Russian-backed separatists escalates. So thank heavens for alternate media. It seems almost surreal that conflicts like this still take place in Europe in the 21st century – even eastern Europe. But then, it was only one year ago that the EuroMaidan revolution was wrestling control of Kiev from what they viewed as a tyrannical government.
 
The EuroMaidan movement, representing the majority of Western Ukraine sentiment, was successful in ridding the country of a corrupt president (who immediately fled to Russia). Shortly thereafter Putin launched a military campaign to retake Crimea (an autonomous republic within Ukraine, which had been part of the U.S.S.R. until 1991), regaining Russian seaport access to the Black Sea. And now his sights are set on Ukraine itself – at least some of the eastern provinces.
 

Russian continues to deny direct involvement in the escalating hostilities, but the stark reality is hard to refute. As the body count rises, Kiev Post interviewed Pavel Felgenhauer, a leading independent Russian military analyst and commentator, who believes that Putin’s aim is to destroy Ukraine’s independence, defeat the West ~
 

 
I hope his predictions about Russia’s chances of success turn out to be correct.
But in the meantime, the death toll is mounting:

 
Just in the last two days, in Mariupol (a port on the Black Sea) – Death toll in Ukrainian city of Mariupol rises; about 30 killed, 100 injured in insurgents’ shelling.

 
With heart-felt candor, Brian Bonner – chief editor of the Kiev Post – had this to say last week ~

The Russian side is totally without respect to Ukraine’s living and dead, and to Ukraine as a nation. I saw the Kremlin propagandists post disrespectful and graphic photos of Ukraine’s dead. I watched how separatists commanders laughed about the Ukrainian soldiers they killed. And I saw one of them throw the Ukrainian flag under the wheels of a military truck so that it could run over the patriotic symbol of every nation.
 
These incidents tell me that Ukraine is up against evil and heartless people. These people don’t want a better life for the Donbas residents, which used to be 15 percent of Ukraine. They are just in it for the fight and don’t care who gets killed […]
 
 
Good people and good nations don’t fight wars gleefully. They don’t take joy in the enemy dead. They don’t humiliate and parade opposition prisoners of war in public, in front of cameras and allow them to be assaulted by a mob. All of this happened in Donetsk.
 
Good people and good nations go to war reluctantly, because they have to, because they have to use state violence to destroy evil forces in the war or uphold principles or defend themselves against aggression […]
 
 
The disrespect for life is staggering. I don’t know the ratio of casualties between civilians and soldier in other wars, but in this one almost four times as many civilians (4,838) have been killed as Ukrainian soldiers (1,373). This is insanity. If estimates of enemy killed are correct, Russia and their proxies are paying an even higher price, with 6,242 killed.
 
All of this underscores that the 11-month-old war that Russia has been waging against Ukraine, which started with the Feb. 27 invasion of Crimea, is not going to end anytime soon. The cycle of hatred and killing is only increasing.
 
The fighting will be over when Russian President Vladimir Putin says it will be over.

Not very encouraging…
 
If only the leader of the free world were a confident, clear-thinking, admirable leader like, say – Ronald Reagan(!), the Russians would be high-tailing it back to Moscow – not murdering innocent civilians in a quest to recreate the Soviet Union.

After listening to what the president had to say last night – or rather what he didn’t have to say – it should be obvious to even the dullest drone out there that Barack Obama has not one ounce of compassion for any of his fellow human beings – be they white, black, or any shade in between.
 
Not only does he refuse to utter the words “Islamic terrorists,” honestly defining the barbarians who have declared war on western civilization, our “Christian” president was so busy talking about all the “free” stuff he wanted to pass out that he failed to even mention – let alone condemn – the Christian genocide being carried out in North Africa and the Middle East by Boko Haram and ISIS.
 

Despite his wife’s feckless #BringBackOurGirls twitter selfie last fall, the man seems oblivious to the ongoing atrocities like this, this and this.

In fact, it’s even worse than oblivious. The administration refuses to lift a finger to alleviate the plight of these persecuted Christians. Obama’s State Department, while admitting 9000 Syrian Muslim refugees from the current ISIS crisis into the U.S., refuses to grant refugee status to any Christians ~ No room in America for Christian refugees ~

America is about to accept 9000 Syrian Muslims, refugees of the brutal war between the Assad regime and its Sunni opposition, which includes ISIS, Al Qaeda, and various other militias. That number is predicted to increase each year. There are no Christian refugees that will be admitted.
 
Why? Because the Department of State is adhering with all the rigidity of a Soviet era bureaucracy to the rule that only people at risk from massacres launched by the regime qualify for refugee status. The rapes of Christian women and the butchery of Christian children do not count. No matter how moved Americans were this Christmas season by the plight of their fellow Christ followers in Syria and Iraq, no matter how horrific the visuals of beheadings, enslavement, and mass murder, the Christians fleeing death do not engender the compassion of this president […]
 
The Department of State chooses to adhere to a definition of refugees as people persecuted by their own government. What difference does it make which army imperils the lives of innocent Christians? Christians are still be slaughtered for being Christian, and their government is incapable of protecting them. Does some group have to come along—as Jewish groups did during the Holocaust—and sardonically guarantee that these are real human beings?

This is the Archbishop of Mosul last November, weeping while explaining the horrible plight of the Iraqi Christians who’ve had to leave their homes ~
 

 
Yet the ostensible Leader of the Free World, who undeniably bears much of the blame for the death and destruction wrought by this aggressive Islamic resurgence (thanks to prematurely pulling our troops out of Iraq), refuses to help?!

If the current occupant in the White House can go to bed, with the voice of his own Libyan ambassador begging for help ringing in his ears, the man has ice water in his veins. And we shouldn’t be surprised that he won’t help any other victims of the Religion-of-Peace.
 
But what a heartbreaking tragedy.
