Las Vegas shooting will remain forever a mystery

LasVegasWelcomeSignOne year ago today, Las Vegas was still in shock. On October 1st, 2017, 58 people lost their lives and more than 800 were injured (413 of those wounded by bullets or shrapnel) in the worst shooting in American history. Ten months later, the investigation was officially over ~ Las Vegas Shooter ‘Case Closed’ And Police Claim There Was No Clear Motive ~

The Las Vegas police department has issued its final report on the October 2017 mass shooting that left dozens dead and hundreds injured, and they say they still don’t know why the shooter took aim at the Route 91 country music festival.

As best as investigators could tell, the shooter suffered from a “diminished mental state,” but did not leave a note nor a manifesto, and had no strong political or religious beliefs — motives common among mass shooters and other domestic terrorists. One doctor interviewed by law enforcement said he prescribed the shooter anti-anxiety medication and suggested he may have been bi-polar, but did not follow up.

So there you have it. Case closed. Guy just snapped. After all this time we know little more about Stephen Paddock than we did 365 days ago. And yet, as JD Heyes pointed out last December ~

Recall the latest mass shooting at that Texas Baptist church in Sutherland Springs in early November. Within an hour we knew the shooter — Devin Patrick Kelley — and within a few days, we knew why he attacked (anger at his ex-wife’s family and his history of mental health issues). We even knew that he’d been convicted of domestic violence by the Air Force, served a year of confinement, and that the service then neglected to report his conviction and court-martial to the FBI, as required by law, which enabled him to buy the gun he used in the killings.

Over the past year, True Pundit has been asking all kinds of questions about the Las Vegas tragedy that the FBI officials somehow never got around to investigating. Last April they featured a 5-part exposé ~

(A)fter months of corporate-infused spin by MGM Resorts and outright lies from officials in the FBI and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, federal agents and intelligence officials are spilling the beans about what really happened on and before the Oct. 1 massacre.

“It’s a movie script that was written after the shooting to rewrite what really happened,” one FBI agent said. “The investigation is an entirely different story that we are not allowed to talk about. If we do and get caught, we get fired and probably charged (criminally).

There are numerous suspicious details surrounding the shooting, information that was completely dismissed by top FBI officials:

• Forensic evidence of multiple gunmen (How did he manage to fire 1,058 rounds from 14 different weapons single-handedly? Without being stopped?)
• Other “persons-of-interest”
• Paddock’s anti-Trump leanings (He probably targeted the country music concert because attendees were likely pro-Trump. Also, he didn’t start his gun-buying spree until after the 2016 election.)
• Possible connections to ANTIFA, ISIS-linked terror faction
• Forensic evidence indicated Paddock’s death may not have been a suicide
• An ISIS-linked “businessman” from Turkey with possible links to the massacre (Shades of Oklahoma City?)
• MGM refused to share cctv footage

Other puzzling facts from various sources include ~

• The missing laptop hard-drive
ISIS Claimed Paddock Converted Six Months prior to shooting
• Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, indicated on a credit application that she worked for the FBI (?!). Further, her fingerprints were found on Paddocks’ horde of ammunition.

But hey, never mind all that, we’re supposed to believe ~

Paddock acted alone, left no suicide note or manifesto, and police found no evidence that he belonged to or supported any hate group or terrorist organization, domestic or foreign. He had no criminal record, and financially, he was indebted to no one, the investigation found.

Here was one more very odd occurrence related to the investigation ~ LVPD police captain mysteriously goes missing ~

(12-21-17) Las Vegas PD announced the ‘mysterious’ disappearance of one of its ranking officers, police Capt. James Larochelle […]

(Larochelle was the officer who had) unveiled “ShotSpotter technology” which employs sensors to “triangulate the source of gunfire” in the Las Vegas Valley. The officer is the commander of Metro’s Organizational Development Bureau.

Thankfully the captain turned up later the same day. But a department which had urgently and widely disseminated information in an effort to locate the missing officer offered no details at all when he was found. Hmmm… Just one more enigma in a tragedy full of them.

In light of the partisan maneuverings at the highest levels of the FBI (the dossier hoax and Russian Collusion shenanigans), I guess none of this obfuscation should be surprising.

But it’s still shocking. It’s an injustice to the survivors and families of the victims who deserve closure. And it’s an insult to the American people who are owed the truth.
