Argentina rejects abortion – riots ensue

Everyone remember the violent protests that broke out in Ireland when unrestricted abortion was legalized in that country a few months ago? Not so much? Well – there were the pro-aborts who took to the streets to celebrate a world with fewer Irish people – but the pro-lifers stayed home, and wept and prayed.

In Argentina this week – praise God – the other side won.

Argentina’s Senate voted early Thursday to reject a bill proposing the national legalization of abortion, following months of protests and debate between pro-lifers and abortion advocates.

The Senate rejected the proposed bill 38 to 31, CNN reported Thursday. The vote comes after Argentina’s lower house of Congress voted to legalize abortion until 14 weeks of pregnancy on June 14.

[Note – abortion is allowed in cases of rape, where the mother’s life is in danger and if the fetus has anencephaly.]

And then the riots broke out ~

The streets of Buenos Aires transformed into a fire-filled riot after Argentina’s Senate voted against the legalisation of abortion in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.

Seems to me the desire to end the life of your unborn child not only reflects an irresponsible and selfish attitude, it also represents an act of defiance (of God and His law). If those emotions are what motivates you, it’s not surprising that you’ll react violently when you don’t get your way.

But there’s obviously a darker side at work here as well. Five years ago when Texas was planning to restrict abortions, and pass legislation than would require safer conditions at abortion clinics, protestors actually invoked Satan ~

The abortion battle in Texas was still raging Tuesday as both abortion supporters and pro-life activists flooded the State Capitol to make their voices heard. The Texas House and Senate reconvened briefly for a special session called by Gov. Rick Perry.

One of the more bizarre tactics used by pro-abortion activists involved chanting “Hail Satan!” to harass a pro-life crowd as they sang “Amazing Grace.”

The devil surely does love to sow death, destruction, chaos – evil ~

(Argentina) has faced some of the most violent pro-abortion protests in the world. In June, radical feminists marched in Buenos Aires to demand the government legalize the killing of unborn babies. In October 2017, they staged another violent, topless protest to demand taxpayer-funded abortions and cultural acceptance of prostitution. Local news reports indicate the pro-abortion protesters threw rocks, a Molotov cocktail, bottles, tampons and feces, as well as balloons filled with paint. They also vandalized walls with messages such as “Death to the pope” and “Lesbianize yourself.”

After the ill-fated Irish vote last May, Rob Slane discussed the unholy origins of legalized abortion ~

But what really amazes me is how the legalisation of abortion is hailed as some great groundbreaking move for freedom. If you think that, here’s your starter for ten: Which country was the first to legalise abortion? Was it one of the free countries of the world? Hmm? Ah no, it was that despotic, totalitarian cesspit of hell-on-earth, Lenin’s USSR.

Funny that! An apparently great movement for freedom and liberty and choice was initiated by the blood-soaked Bolshevik terror regime, which though it is known for many things, freedom, liberty and choice don’t tend to be what springs to mind.

Why did they legalise abortion? Because they saw the family as the biggest threat to the state, and therefore they needed to destroy it to achieve their aims. And there really are few better ways of destroying the family than persuading women in their millions that they’d be better off without the wonderful gift of children that God has given them.

About 300 hospitals and medical groups across (Argentina) have announced their opposition to the legislation, in part, because of a lack of conscience protections. According to the report, private hospitals would not be allowed to opt out of aborting unborn babies under the bill.
