Help fight the free-speech suppressors

thoughtpoliceErrorIn case you haven’t noticed, the social media giants (Facebook, Google, YouTube – usually joined by Twitter – and now accompanied by LinkedIn, Pinterest and others) are turning into George Orwell’s Thought Police. They’ve become the self-appointed arbiters of permissible speech, opinions and ideas. Fall in line with their intolerant, progressive worldview or you will be silenced.

Alex Jones is just the latest victim. In what was clearly a coordinated attack against the controversial host of InfoWars, numerous social media platforms suddenly booted him off their sites ~

Following a left-wing and mainstream media pressure campaign involving CNN, Big Tech platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Apple podcasts, Spotify, LinkedIn, and MailChimp banned InfoWars and Jones from their platforms for “hate speech,” and “hateful content,” despite refusing to state what the hateful content was.

While Jones is pretty much off-the-wall – regularly offering up far-fetched conspiracy theories – other conservative voices are not. Yet they get regularly banned, or shadow-banned, simply because they refuse to toe the leftist-progressive-statist-atheist line.

For example, I’ve blogged about PragerU a few times, and shared many of their enlightening videos. You Tube has been actively censoring (de-monetizing) them since before the last presidential election. There’s just something about Judeo-Christian, free-market capitalist, classically liberal positions that highly offends their totalitarian sensibilities ~

For more than two years, YouTube has continued to restrict access to more and more of our videos – simply because they present a conservative point of view. There are currently over 80 PragerU videos that are restricted – more than double the amount of restricted videos since filing our lawsuit against YouTube. Silicon Valley giants like YouTube continue to censor the ideas they don’t agree with. They promote their Leftist ideology and restrict conservative speech.

From the beginning of this process, we’ve been prepared to pursue our lawsuit against Google/YouTube as far, and for as long as it takes to secure every American’s right to freedom of speech online.

Recently, we officially filed an appeal with the Ninth Circuit Court – giving us another opportunity to argue our case against the tech giant.

You can support PragerU’s effort by signing their petition HERE. If you believe free speech in America should continue to be free, I strongly encourage you to do so.

Devin Nunes looking at ‘legal remedies’ to take against Twitter for ‘shadow banning’

Last week, Vice News reported that Nunes, along with several other conservative Republican figures, were harder to find on Twitter as their accounts did not show up on the auto-populated drop-down search box.

“It sure looks to me like they are censoring people and they ought to stop it. We are looking at any legal remedies to go through,” Nunes, R-Calif., said at the end of a Sunday morning interview on Fox News.

Twitter did not immediately respond to a request for comment […]

Nunes, who is chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has repeatedly condemned Twitter for applying a layer of censorship on the tweets tied to the Drudge Report, tying the issue to the larger issue of censorship and bias conservatives face in the technology arena.

Twitter is planning to accelerate changes to the company’s speech policies after a backlash from its own employees who want the company to ban right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, responding to a critical tweet from a Twitter engineer, said Wednesday he is “not happy” with Twitter’s current policies, which he said need to “evolve.”

Ah, there’s that magic word :)
