Random links of interest, concern or curiosity from the past week or so, that deserve at least a SHORT mention:

New York Times Baffled by Massive Rise in Murder Rate it Caused ~ The Left actively promotes division and animosity and feigns ignorance when division and animosity result. Mayor DeBlasio goes squishy on criminals; crime rises. Duh.

Man-splaining Is No Excuse For Invading Girls’ Locker Rooms ~ In an emperor’s new clothes moment, last Monday 150 girls at Missouri High School righteously walked out of classes to protest a young male’s invasion of their locker room. “Lila Perry,” genetically a male, insists he’s a woman and isn’t satisfied with the separate facilities the school provided for him ~

I thought, as Howard Zinn says, dissent was the highest form of patriotism? The tide has already turned on that front, but if Americans aren’t comfortable with biological males in their daughters’ locker rooms, it behooves us to call a spade a spade—or, in this case, call a boy a boy.

Kudos to these young women. We’ve got to start pushing back against this lunacy…

College students in Memphis have “evolved” beyond gender with this new pronoun… ~ The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, firmly establishing it’s campus as yet another reality-free zone, is banning gendered pronouns ~

According to the university, students and staff are being asked to ditch “he” and “she” to make the campus more gender-neutral.

Wondering if this might be part of the problem ➡ Study: Pot Smoking on College Campuses at 35-Year High

‘Pink Viagra’: Helping women? Or marketing a disease? ~ If God had created us to run around chasing toddlers all day long when we’re 70 years old, “declining libido” might be a legitimate medical concern for seniors. Instead, it’s just an inadequacy-producing, trumped-up phenomenon invented by Big Pharma ~

Creating diseases to sell drugs is great business. Whether or not it helps people to live happily, in control of their moral and emotional lives, is another matter altogether.

Why Walmart Is Reducing Worker Hours, After Raising the Minimum Wage — and Other Lessons in Reality ~ Much as progressives might wish it so, we really can’t live consequence-free.

Chris Christie: We shouldn’t let Christian businesses opt out of gay ceremonies ~ When it comes to social issues, Christie is spineless and/or clueless. He may as well run as a Democrat.

Rep. Mark Meadows Aims to Banish John Boehner: ‘Having the People at My Back Is Better than Having D.C. in My Pocket’ ~

The tipping point for Meadows came down to one email from a constituent he described as a “country club Republican.” He sent Meadows an email saying, “We got Benghazi, we got the IRS, we got missing emails, we got immigration, all of these things going on and I thought we won in November. And here we are still fighting it. I am one ticked off American.”

Quebec begins mandatory sex ed teaching 5-year-olds about masturbation, genitalia, and homosexuality ~ Outrageous. (But this year Canada, next year America….) Clearing the way for the acceptance of pedophilia? Monic Tremblay of the Quebec organization Parent Alerte wants to know ~

“Will this actually protect children from sexual aggressors, as the curriculum claims, or will it turn children into sexual aggressors?” she said in a statement to LifeSiteNews.

Tremblay said that, by “sexualizing” children and teaching them how to “consent” to sexual practices, the program will have the effect of making children available to an adult sexual predators.

California governor says people who don’t buy into climate change agenda are genetically inferior ‘troglodytes’ ~ This is especially amusing if one recalls Governor Moonbeam’s plan to recycle urine which he proposed earlier this year.

Archaeologists May Have Found The Burial Site Of St. Matthew ~ Always fascinated by these discoveries confirming God’s word ~

Siberian archaeologists discovered a 2,500-year-old settlement now underwater in a Kyrgyzstan lake, which may be where Jesus’ disciple Matthew was finally buried.

University divers dug up 200 artifacts from the ancient ruin 23 meters below the northeastern surface of Lake Issyk-Kul, reported The Siberian Times. One piece of a large ceramic pot the divers lifted out of the water lends support to a theory that Matthew’s burial site is nearby.

Don’t tell ISIS.
