Random links of interest, concern or curiosity from the past week or so, that deserve at least a SHORT mention:

The Statue of Lars Vilks ~ Diana West (author – The Death of the Grown-up) explains how, rather than honoring a Swedish patriot who courageously stands for liberty, the Scandinavian country is capitulating to Islam.

EPA and CA Drought: ‘What Civilized Society Destroys Its Own Food Source For A Three-Inch Fish?’ ~ If California’s envirowackos hadn’t valued delta smelt over the their fellow human beings, the state would be weathering this latest drought just fine. A brave Republican Assemblywoman has been trying to get the truth out for months.

Abortion Supporters Defend Dumping A Live Baby In A Dumpster ~

In the vehemence to not block any abortion services — whether obtained legally, within the bounds of the law, or not, whether it’s even safe for the mother herself or not — we have people defending a woman’s choice to leave a baby to die, alone, in a dumpster.

A civilization that excuses infanticide is a civilization lost. We are now Rome.

Egyptian Host to Israel: ‘Put Trust in God and Bomb Iran’ ~ Egypt? Strange days indeed… total realignment of allies/enemies ~

… Egyptian TV personality Tawfik Okasha called Netanyahu “our dear friend” and suggested Israel take out the Bushehr Nuclear Reactor.
“Put your trust in God and bomb it,” Okasha said. “We are with you and if you need fuel for the jets, we will give it to you.”

GAO reports warns hackers could bring down plane using passenger Wi-Fi ~ (Not sure how national security issues are within the purview of the Government Accountability Office but…) Who needs box cutters when you can blow up the plane with your ipad?

Day After Obama Removes Cuba from Terror Sponsor List, Terror Group Sponsored by Cuba Kills 10 ~

Cuba has been harboring FARC terrorists for years. This morning, FARC murdered 10 Colombian soldiers.

The Castro brothers continue to harbor international terrorists from Spain’s Basque separatist group ETA and Colombia’s Marxist rebels FARC, as well as American domestic terrorists from groups like the Black Liberation Army.

Nothing has really changed on this front. It’s estimated that 70 U.S. fugitives are being harbored by Cuba, including Joanne Chesimard (AKA “Assata Shakur”), a convicted cop killer.

Defense Department: The Bible, Constitution And Declaration Of Independence All Perpetuate Sexism ~ We know the Left’s assault on America’s foundation is relentless, but this is coming from our own damn (pardon me) government! ~

According to a Defense Department-approved “sexism course,” the Bible, the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence all contribute to modern sexism. 😯

Those three cherished texts all count as “historical influences that allow sexism to continue,” according to a presentation prepared by the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, whose mission is to give a “world-class human relations education.”

OK then – what can we call this? Racist-Sexist-Bigoted? Christaphobic? ~

Italian Police: Libyan Muslims Threw Christians Overboard ~

The Italian police have arrested 15 Muslim refugees from war-torn Libya on charges they murdered Christian passengers on their escape boat by throwing them overboard.

“The original group of 105 people left Libya on Tuesday in a rubber boat,” reports CNN, relaying statements from Italian authorities. “Sometime during the trip north across the Mediterranean Sea, the alleged assailants – Muslims from the Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal – threw the 12 [Christians] overboard.”

Mass movement: US Christians don orange in church to honor ISIS victims ~ Would be wonderful if this could gain some traction. Our churches really need to be speaking out more about this savage persecution ~

orangeribbonA new campaign sweeping through American churches has worshipers wearing orange – either in their Sunday best or on ribbons – to raise attention to the Christians executed at the hands of ISIS. Ribbons for Rescue.

Keep up the good work, Marji. I share some of your links, but have gotten only two comments so far – one agree, and one lefist who disagrees. I’ll let you know if their are more. Take care. Are you coming back to Farmington Repubs?

Thanks much for the encouragement Mary! Blogs aren’t quite the trend they used to be, and I sometimes wonder what’s the point? But it’s really become a way for me to work through and articulate my own thoughts on various issues. And maybe, just by being out here in cyberspace, it will help someone come to the truth.
