Testimony from a former Muslim

Here’s an immigrant from Saudi Arabia who, thank the Lord, won’t be blowing up Americans any time soon. A devout Muslim who lead prayers in his mosque, and admired Osama bin Laden, Al Fadi came to the U.S. hoping to convert others to Islam.

What he found – instead of a prophet who demanded jihad – was a personal Savior who willing died for him.

Pretty amazing stuff! But then, we have a pretty amazing God 🙂

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who in thy goodness hast caused
the light of the Gospel to shine in our land; Extend thy mercy,
we beseech thee, to the nations of the world that still walk in darkness.
Enlighten the Moslems (and the leaders of our republic) with
the knowledge of thy truth; and grant that the Gospel of salvation may
be known in all lands, that the heart of the peoples may be turned
unto thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Help Support Your Local Terrorists
Whoa folks -we’re way beyond “Willful Blindness.” We’re funding our own demise (This story ties in nicely with my last post on Shamnesty) ~
The Boston Herald is reporting that Massachusetts taxpayers actually provided state aid to the dead terrorist and his family: Tamerlan Tsarnaev got Mass. welfare benefits ~
State officials confirmed last night that Tsarnaev, slain in a raging gun battle with police last Friday, was receiving benefits along with his wife, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, and their 3-year-old daughter. The state’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services said those benefits ended in 2012 when the couple stopped meeting income eligibility limits.
Russell Tsarnaev’s attorney has claimed Katherine — who had converted to Islam — was working up to 80 hours a week as a home health aide while Tsarnaev stayed at home.
But he was still on the dole when ~
Russian FSB intelligence service contacted the U.S. agency to warn that he was suspected of being a dangerous radical and sought information…
In mid-2011, he was being monitored by the FSB, apparently prompting the FBI contact, ahead of his six-month trip home to Dagestan in 2012, where Time magazine reported he is believed to have attended a notorious radical mosque.
So not only are we happy to open our doors to people who want to kill Americans – we actually support their efforts!
Shamnesty 2013 – B.O.H.I.C.A.
That’s right, legal Americans are about to get shafted again by the ruling class on the Potomac. Our Roman senate, led by the “Gang of Eight” is just thrilled about the latest proposal they’ve drafted – another 1000 page bill – to legalize millions of illegals. Apparently it’s all about “economic growth.” But it won’t do a damn thing to tighten the border, control who’s getting into America, or help prevent future acts of Islamic terrorism.
Pretending to take their constitutional responsibilities seriously, the “Gang” graciously accepted input from a variety of different interest groups among them; labor unions and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, farmers and farm workers, Catholics and evangelical Protestants, and immigrant rights’ advocates and conservatives such as Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform.
Oddly enough, these distinguished senators have completely avoided talking to the one labor union in a position to offer valuable information on the subject of illegal immigration – that would be the union representing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.
At a press conference last week Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and law enforcement officers from around the country expressed their concern that the voices of those charged with enforcing our nation’s immigration laws aren’t being considered by the “Gang” at all ~
Chris Crane, ICE officer and National ICE Council president representing 7,000 ICE agents, officers, and employees has some especially penetrating questions for the “Gang(sters)”. If nothing else, watch this part (about the 5 min. mark) ~
“Marco Rubio(R-FL), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Dick Durbin( D-IL), John McCain(R-AZ), Patrick Leahy(D-VT), Lindsey Graham(SC), Robert Menendez(D-NJ), Jeff Flake(AZ), Michael Bennett(D-CO):
As United States’ senators, the representatives of the people, where have you been for the last four years?
What have you done to prevent political appointees at ICE and DHS from ignoring the laws of Congress?
What have you done to stop these same political appointees from manipulating arrest data and misleading the American public and members of Congress?
What have you done to prevent dangerous criminals from being released back into American communities by the thousands?
What have you done to protect America’s law enforcement officers who now not only place their lives at risk to enforce our nations’ laws, but their careers as well, as they struggle against political appointees who order them not to enforce the law and who order them to place the public at risk?
Of course the answer to all these questions, is NOTHING!
Once again, as Sen. Sessions says, this immigration bill is “amnesty before enforcement.”
Once again the ruling class ignores the will of the people – and even the welfare of the people (abdicating their primary constitutional responsibilities).
Once again the law-abiding Americans are the losers.
Like I said… B.O.H.I.C.A.
The Flawed ‘Gang of Eight’ Immigration Plan ~ Jim DeMint at Heritage ~
The “Gang of Eight” bill introduced in the U.S. Senate violates the very rule of law principle that creates opportunity for immigrants and makes America a beacon of hope for the world. Giving legal residency to the 11 million people who came here illegally has one definition: amnesty. Amnesty rewards unlawful behavior and diminishes opportunity and prosperity for lawful immigrants and all Americans.
The Senate bill imposes significant costs on taxpayers. At a time of trillion-dollar deficits and $17 trillion in debt, the cost of implementing amnesty and the strain it will add to already fragile entitlement and welfare programs should be of serious concern for everyone.
Celebrating the end of AGW*
So did you do anything exciting for Earth Day 2013 today?
Join a parade on Java Island (Indonesia) and help carry a large paper-mache globe?
Dress up like a mermaid?
Make your own do-it-yourself Chia-pet?
Spray-paint yourself green and join Peta in a vegan promo?
Um…?
Yeah, me either.
What I did do was celebrate the fact that the whole global warming/pseudo-science scam seems to be fizzling out – well, at least among the more rational members of society ~
Amazing Grace
“A lot of people don’t realize that just about all Negro spirituals are written on the black notes of the piano. Probably the most famous on this slave scale was written by John Newton, who used to be the captain of a slave ship, and many believe he heard this melody that sounds very much like a West African sorrow chant.
And it has a haunting, haunting plaintive quality to it that reaches past your arrogance, past your pride, and it speaks to that part of you that’s in bondage. And we feel it. We feel it.
It’s just one of the most amazing melodies in all of human history.”
R.I.P. Margaret Thatcher
During Margaret Thatcher’s tenure as British Prime Minister (May 1979 to Nov. 1990) – roughly the same period as Ronald Reagan’s term in office – I’ll admit I wasn’t paying much attention to politics. So it’s only now, decades later, that I’ve come to appreciate what a staunchly loyal conservative she was.
Baroness Margaret Thatcher’s funeral ~ April 17, 2013
This weekend I had a chance to listen to the audio clip below of Hugh Hewitt interviewing Larry Arnn, president of (my favorite college in the world 🙂 ) Hillsdale, who knew Thatcher personally. Truly a worthwhile way to spend a ½ hour, it contains several cuts from a 1995 speech the former prime minister delivered at the college ~
Wouldn’t it be nice if our ruling class believed these truths? Even nicer if they were able to articulate them with such conviction ~
“A good education, founded on religious belief, and on importance of family, is our most valuable asset.
Without law, without the institutions of civil society, without religion, without values that promote rather than discourage self-restraint or mutual consideration, that darker side will prevail.
… democracy as merely a rule of majority isn’t enough. A majority cannot turn what is wrong into right, or the other way around.”
~ Margaret Thatcher, at Hillsdale 1995 ~
Move Over “Obama Phone,” Say ‘Hola!’ to the Marco Rubio Immigration Phone, AKA MarcoPhone ~ Are you all set for Shamnesty-2013 edition?
According to the newly filed bill, immigrants who are allowed to enter the United States under a work visa, will be ‘granted’ a taxpayer funded cellular phone.
Oh boy! So would guys like, oh – Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev – get one? Wasn’t “the dead one” on some kind of visa, or green card?
Sheesh. In the wake of the Boston bombing, even the liberal-leaning Daily Beast is growing skeptical about amnesty ~
If immigration reform is to become law, then Congress and President Obama must first address the fact that not everyone who comes to America likes us. Indeed, some immigrants want to kill us. 😯
It’s all about the agenda and what serves it.
Auschwitz Survivor; Irving Roth
Last night I attended an unforgettable presentation by Holocaust survivor Irving Roth. Sponsored by CUFI (Christians United for Israel) and CUFI on Campus, the event was held at Michigan State University.
I’d never actually heard anyone’s firsthand testimony about the horrors of the Nazi camps in person before. (Mr. Roth was in Auschwitz and Buchenwald concentration camps.) Knowing that the person who lived through these horrors is the same one standing right there, speaking to you, is rather staggering. The impact is much stronger than reading about it – or even watching a movie – because the speaker is sharing his own unique experiences, feelings and emotions with you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There are several videos available on YouTube featuring Mr.Roth and his story. Here is a short one he shared with us last night, filmed on a recent trip to Germany with some college students ~

As tragic as Mr. Roth’s story was, it was also inspiring. Despite the horrors, he was able to endure and persevere, his faith in God intact. He had in fact survived – to courageously share his testimony. He’s a firsthand witness to mankind’s capacity for evil; a voice to warn us all of the dangers of complacency in the face of totalitarianism.

In relating his painful story Mr.Roth made a special appeal to the students, emphasizing the dangers of propaganda – and of education without morality.

Sitting there, I was praying that the young people around me were understanding and absorbing his vitally important message: “Learn the truth – and spread it!”

For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness shines out like the dawn,
Her salvation like a blazing torch.

As horrifying as the marathon bombing was, the goodness of everyday Americans shone through in the aftermath ~
10 Things From the Boston Marathon Tragedy That Will Warm Your Heart

The man in the cowboy hat is Carlos Arredondo. He is an immigrant citizen of the U.S. who lost his son in Iraq and is now a peace activist and speaker. When the explosions happened, you can see that he did not hesitate to run towards the chaos and help, obviously trying to get this poor man out of there and to hold a tourniquet on one of his severed legs. Later, he was being interviewed, visibly shaking from shock and holding an American flag, soaked in the blood of other people. Carlos Arredondo’s selflessness and bravery should be known and applauded.

Founding Wisdom [Flouted by the Foolish]

“Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a
right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not,
our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the
expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure,
and their blood.”

What if “the one you love” is “man’s best friend?”

Yes, now that the homosexual activists are pushing to render marriage meaningless, what’s next on the perversity parade? Well, why not sex with your pet – or your favorite farm animals? I mean really, who’s to “judge?”

Well actually, some German legislators decided they should draw the line somewhere, and formally banned bestiality in that country late last year. Here’s some history on this disgusting subject from the Australian Telegraph ~

Bestiality was legalised in Germany in 1969, the same year that gay sex was also removed from the criminal code. After that, sex with animals was only punishable if the animal was severely injured.

(Ugh! This is such a sick topic, it’s difficult to write – and I’m sure read – about. 🙁 )

However animal welfare groups have pushed for the ban to be reinstated, in an advertising campaign that used dramatic examples of “animal rape”.

The new legislation amended the the country’s Animal Welfare Act to make sex with animals punishable with a fine of up to 25,000 euros ($31,000).

Naturally the local “zoophiles” are upset. Yes, there is a German lobby group called ZETA (Zoophiles Engaging for Tolerance and Enlightenment) who plan to appeal the law. An article posted at Life Site News yesterday described a recent demonstration ~

The pro-bestiality protesters handed out pamphlets to passersby that were reported to say, “We love animals. We reject any kind of force, violence and abuse and it hurts our souls to see animals suffer. We are pro-animal rights but we are being discriminated nevertheless.”

The pamphlet concludes by suggesting that bestiality is now normal, acceptable behavior that is genetically inherited and irreversible.

“We cannot do anything about being zoophiles, and so are trying handling (sic) our inclinations responsibly,” the pamphlet states.

“Banning (bestiality) means that millions 😯 of people in Germany are criminalized.”

How soon before our ruling class here in the U.S. attempts to “evolve” we the sheeple on this issue? After all, these sad persecuted individuals claim that they too have been “born that way.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The “slippery slope” of amorality is getting steeper every day.
