Random links of interest, concern or curiosity from the past week or so, that deserve at least a SHORT mention:

Progressive heads exploding over gay marriage ban on tribal lands ~ Native Americans are supposed to stay on the Progressive reservation – so to speak. A Democrat pander class, they’re supposed to be compliant ~

…the U.S. Constitution (and the Supreme Court’s interpretation of it) does not apply to tribal lands, which theoretically are sovereign nations. It’s not just untaxed gasoline and casinos at issue; it is the latest inventions of the progressive mindset ratified by jurists not being enforced. And the progressive approach to the failure of its victim groups to unite in gratefully following the full program is, shall we say, delicate…

Multiple Eye Witnesses: Many New Jersey Muslims Celebrated The 9/11 Attacks ~ Hey, who ya gonna believe – the mainstream media propaganda machine – or your own lying eyes?

A Rape Survivor Speaks Out About Transgender Bathrooms ~ Why must we endanger all females simply to let a few sadly, dis-ordered individuals feel “normal?”

There’s no way to make everyone happy about transgender bathrooms and locker rooms. So the priority ought to be finding a way to keep everyone safe […]

Is it ironic to no one that being “progressive” actually sets women’s lib back about a century?

‘Cosmo’ Praises Incest ~ The slippery slope is getting steeper as society slides closer to the pit. Cosmopolitan Magazine featured an article ~

… celebrating the incestuous relationship of a brother and sister (half-siblings, they share the same father) who met for the first time as adults, Cosmopolitan magazine defies “the last taboo” and argues that, by virtue of shared genetics, a brother and sister coupling creates a “perfect storm” that others might be missing out on.[…]

Noting that incest is illegal and punishable by life in prison in their state, which is in the Great Lakes area, the two explain their plans to use a legal loophole to later marry. The man who raised Melissa is listed on her birth certificate, so legally she does not share a biological father with Brian.

Brian says of his plans to wed his sister: “Few human beings get to experience something at this level. And it’s not a taboo. It’s nothing wrong. This just feels like love, perfect love.

Cosmo seems to agree with him: “Their unusual circumstances have created a perfect storm, an ideal 😯 mix that most people don’t get to experience.”

Our Brothers’ Keepers: Inside Haiti’s Child Hunger Crisis ~ Instead of trying to sterilize the third world, why doesn’t Bill Gates use his philanthropic donations for truly humanitarian projects like this?

How the UAW is selling out American auto workers ~ Pretending solidarity with the regular members while helping outsource jobs to Mexico; UAW leaders are cut from the same cloth as our Washington Cartel bosses ~

If the automakers could have moved their facilities to right to work states where labor costs are lower, pretty much all of the jobs could have stayed in the U.S. But that won’t do for the UAW, so they’ll get rid of the lower tier workers who were doing the complaining by shipping their jobs to Mexico. The old, loyal union hands can then stay on in Detroit and keep on collecting the big dollars. It’s a beautiful thing, isn’t it?

CPRC at Fox News: “The facts shoot holes in Obama’s claim that US is only host to mass killings” ~ CPRC, Crime Prevention Research Center aims to provide an objective and accurate scientific evaluation of both the costs and benefits of gun ownership as well as policing activities ~

In just 2015, France suffered more casualties – killings and injuries – from mass public shootings than the U.S. has suffered during Obama’s entire presidency (508 to 424). This number includes the San Bernandino massacre on Wednesday.

Settled science, Obama-style: US needs to give India $3 billion or else south Florida will be under water ~ It’s true: climate change hysteria is only being whipped up to facilitate massive global wealth redistribution.

AIDS/HIV 30 Years Later: What We Know Now ~

“It’s something that we pretty much know how to prevent transmission of, but getting people to stop sleeping with people they’re not married to and getting people to stop using intravenous drugs is easier said than done.”

And then there’s ~ The Return of Syphilis ~

Researchers are still trying to work out why these increases are happening now, but the CDC’s report offers a few clues. For one, syphilis isn’t the only sexually transmitted disease becoming more common. Syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea—the three STDs that comprised the focus of the report—rose simultaneously for the first time on record, which suggests an underlying cause that isn’t syphilis-specific.

Well, duh…

Some populations are especially at risk. Unlike the mainly heterosexual outbreak in the early 1990s, the majority of syphilis cases in 2014 appeared in men who have sex with men (though syphilis rates also rose among women by 22.7 percent). Kidd suggests that people might be less careful now that the threat of HIV/AIDS is less immediate than it was in the 1990s, or that partners might use strategies to prevent HIV transmission that aren’t as effective for other STDs.

God has a wonderful, safe, satisfying plan for human sexuality. Unfortunately – we’ve rejected it – and are now facing the consequences.

Fmr. FBI Counterterrorism Agent: ‘Vast Majority’ of US Mosques/Islamic Centers Part of ‘Jihadi Network’ Exclusive from Breitbart News, pretty frightening stuff ~

Guandolo said that even senior government officials have “no idea this is going on inside the United States because the people advising us are the leaders of the organizations—that per evidence in counterterrorism trials—have been identified organizations that are Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, al-Qaeda” who are “necessarily hostile to our system, our war fighting, our way of life. That’s the problem.”

And yet, we’re being intimidated into keeping quiet under the guise of faux “Islamaphobia” ~ The CAIR Effect: See something, do nothing.

Obama Says That All Faiths Share Same ‘Bedrock Values’ Taught by Jesus Christ ~ Really? I don’t remember the part in Christianity about murdering the infidels if they won’t convert… And the president’s version of the Bible seems to be missing the main message:

For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have everlasting life.
~ John 3:16

Rallying to protect our religious liberty

So I spent a chilly 90 minutes in front of the Michigan State Capitol Building this past Wednesday, with a few hundred like-minded folks – all for a great cause – religious freedom. The temperature never rose above the mid-30’s, but it was heart-warming to spend time with so many like-minded patriots ~

rally2protectreligiousliber

We were there primarily to support a Michigan House concurrent resolution* submitted by Rep. Tom Hooker (R-Byron Center).

His proposal essentially says that in the Obergefell v. Hodges decision, the Supreme Court acted outside the bounds of the U.S. Constitution; that it was not within the purview of the judiciary to create a new “personal identity” liberty.

The Court’s sole duty is to rule on the constitutionality of laws – not to make new laws. Yet that’s exactly what they did by magically inventing a new right to homosexual “marriage” last June.

A portion of Hook’s resolution states ~

Whereas, The Supreme Court’s decision neglects the restrained conception of the judicial role, seizing for itself a question the Constitution leaves to the people, at a time when the people are engaged in a vibrant debate on that question. The decision is a naked judicial claim to legislative — indeed, super-legislative — power; a claim fundamentally at odds with our system of government. The Supreme Court is not a legislature. Courts do not substitute their social and economic beliefs for the judgment of legislative bodies, who are elected to pass laws;

It goes on to say that, in the face of extra-constitutional decisions by the Court, it’s the duty of our elected officials to preserve and protect constitutional governance under the rule of law, and;

…reclaim this state’s sovereignty by not recognizing or enforcing the United States Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision as a rule of law;

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Listening to the various speakers, those at the rally clearly understood what so many of our fellow Americans haven’t quite grasped yet, as Rep. Lee Chatfield (R-Levering), a co-sponsor of the resolution, stated so well ~
“Make no mistake, when government destroys God, government becomes God.” said Chatfield, whose father is a Christian minister. “And that should be a frightening thing for the United States of America and the state of Michigan.”
We’re blessed in Michigan to have several representatives who stand willing to defend our religious liberty. Gary Glenn (R-Midland) is one of them. ➡
*A “concurrent resolution” applies to and reflects the positions of both houses of the legislature; but it doesn’t have the force of law.
Thank God for Africa!
While western nations are sliding more and more into the morass of moral relativity – embracing a worldview with little room or desire for God – Christians in a majority of African nations are holding firm to the traditions of the faith. As Crisis Magazine recently reported, The African Church Is the New Champion of Orthodoxy ~
africaSarah
“Europe is the Faith”—so Hilaire Belloc declared in 1920. Nearly a century later, the faith burns as bright as it did then, but it is Africa, not Europe, that is carrying the torch of orthodoxy.
Such is the unavoidable take-away from last month’s synod on the family. With prominent Western traditionalists like Cardinal Raymond Burke sidelined, the prelates from sub-Saharan Africa became the outspoken voices of orthodoxy.
Cardinal Robert Sarah, a Guinea native and the head of the Congregation for Divine Worship, made headlines in a floor speech (fittingly, in this context, they are called “interventions”) likening gender ideology and ISIS to apocalyptic beasts.
Cardinal Wilfrid Fox Napier of South Africa accused liberal European bishops of betraying the “essence of the faith” their missionary ancestors had brought to Africa.
africaNapier
Tanzanian Bishop Renatus Leonard Nkwande warned that normalizing same-sex unions would put society on a slippery slope to polygamy and bestiality […]
By almost every conceivable measure, Catholicism in Africa is experiencing an extraordinary spiritual renaissance—the very reverse of what is happening in the continent to its north.
Unlike the pampered, jaded, far-too-comfortable societies of western nations, for most African peoples, basic human survival is an everyday concern. Nothing forces one to prioritize than a huge dose of harsh reality.
As Stephen Beale continues ~
It is tempting to chalk up the traditionalism of African Catholics to the underlying cultural conservatism of their broader societies, as (über-liberal, Cardinal) Kasper seemed to want to do. But look closer and much more is at play. Reading through the various public statements of many African prelates one senses that unmistakable fierceness of conviction that comes with being a newly converted society. […]
There is something about death that makes the truth urgent. When confronted with the sword or the gun, things seem a lot less gray. Black-and-white thinking tends to come hand in hand with life-or-death situations. Eternity matters more. This life matters more because eternity matters more.
These African Christians clearly have their priorities in order!
The African Church emerges as bulwark of doctrine ~
Both Western and Islamic ideologies share the same end goal, says (Cardinal Robert Sarah), that being the destruction of the family. The secular West seeks to accomplish this through “quickie divorces, abortion, homosexual unions: Look at gender theory, Femen [a feminist group known for organizing topless protests], the LBGT lobby. On the other side, there is the pseudo-family of an ideological Islam which legitimizes polygamy, sexual slavery, child marriage: Look at Al-Qaeda, IS, Boko Haram.”
“Certain keys allow us to discern the same demonic origin of these two movements: They both advocate a universal and totalitarian law, they’re both violently intolerant, destroyers of families and the Church, and openly anti-Christian,” the African cardinal concluded.
Whack-a-Drone #28
Here is another cogent, concise and convincing
example of the rightness of Conservatism.
Whack your favorite drone(s) with the TRUTH:
[There’s a high probability it won’t penetrate their thick
armor of denial – but hey, it’s worth a shot.]
If immigrants were gumballs…
It’s futile to try and “save” the third world by bringing them here. And ruining our own economy in the hopes of making a difference isn’t the answer either. We need to help them help themselves.
There are many charitable organizations – who truly care about those in developing nations – that aim to do just that. We should direct our international aid toward those same ends.
Doctor fired for trying to save lives
Here’s a modern day ethical situation for your consideration:
If, during the course of his practice, a physician becomes aware of significant health risks associated with particular lifestyle behaviors, does he have a professional duty to inform his patients – as well as the public-at-large – about those findings?
Huh? Kind of seems like a no-brainer doesn’t it? At least that’s what Dr. Paul Church thought.
Not so the geniuses at Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where Church has been practicing urology for almost 30 years. No, the hospital’s medical board actually fired the good doctor – for telling the truth.
MassResistance has been covering this travesty for the past year ~
Dr. Paul Church has been a urologist on the BIDMC staff for nearly 30 years and is a member of the Harvard Medical School faculty. He has done research on diagnosing prostate and bladder cancer, and has spoken on the subject of high-risk sexual behaviors.
gaygagAs MassResistance has reported, earlier this year, a BIDMC committee of high-ranking doctors and administrators decided that Dr. Church’s statements to colleagues about the medical dangers of homosexual behavior, and moral issues surrounding it, were “offensive” and constituted “discrimination,” “harassment,” and “unprofessional conduct.” Thus, they expelled Dr. Church from the BIDMC medical staff.
The hospital’s expulsion of Dr. Church was based completely on non-medical reasons having nothing to do with patient care. A representative of the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons calls it a “sham peer review” which they describe as “a general term describing the misuse of hospital by-laws to intimidate and control physicians.”
The Stream recently featured an article by Dr. Michael Brown about this absurd situation; When Political Correctness toward Homosexuals Stops Doctors from Doing Their Jobs.
Dr. Brown pointed out the absurdity of the hospital’s action by comparing homosexual sex acts to other unsafe activities ~
Would the hospital promote “pride” events for cigarette smokers or obese children? Then why would it promote gay pride events if the health risks of homosexual sex were documented and well-known? […]
Of course, I’m all for doctors being culturally sensitive to the unique challenges faced by particular groups of people, and part of the proposed training would no doubt be aimed at increasing that sensitivity.
But there’s no doubt that it would also create an atmosphere of extreme hostility to anyone who would dare to “offend” gays by warning them that homosexual acts can be detrimental to their health, while the failure of any doctor to celebrate homosexuality would be deemed a breach of professional conduct.
This is when political correctness becomes deadly.
In a culture that actually still placed a value and dignity on each individual human life, this sort of arbitrary censure would be unconscionable. But in the Amoral States of America, the progressive elite doesn’t want women to know about the abortion-breast cancer link, or potential military enlistees to know that gay male rape is out of control in the Armed Forces. So I guess we shouldn’t be shocked that they don’t really care about the physical and emotional health of homosexuals either.
the more it will hate those that speak it.”
1st Sunday in Advent
Almighty God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light, now in the time of this mortal life, in which Thy Son, Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility;
that in the last day, when He shall come again in His glorious Majesty, to judge both the quick and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal;
through Him who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost, now and ever. ~ Amen
Random links of interest, concern or curiosity from the past week or so, that deserve at least a SHORT mention:
UK: Muslims attack convert from-Islam-to-Christianity with pickaxe ~ The Religion-of-Peace once again proves itself to be an oxymoron ~
A hadith depicts Muhammad saying: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him” (Bukhari 9.84.57). The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law according to all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence.
More murder and mayhem from the Jihadi front ~
Teenage Islamist ‘poster girl’ who fled Austria to join ISIS ‘is beaten to death by the terror group after trying to escape from Syria’ ~ The young and the tragically naive
Terrorism Deaths Quadruple Under Obama ~ Wow! That “J.V. team” sure is impressive! ~
Deaths from terrorism increased 80 percent last year to an all-time-record of 32,658 people killed, compared to 18,111 in 2013. The number is up about 426 percent from the 7,654 killed by terrorists in 2008 under President Bush, according to the latest report from ‘Vision of Humanity.’
Iconic rock at Youngstown State defaced with ISIS graffiti
If you see something, say something. And get sued for $15 million ~ it wasn’t enough for “ClockBoy” to be celebrated by Obama, now he and his Islamist family are suing the city and school district of Irving, Texas for a cool $15 mill. We call this “Muslim Lawfare” -aka- extortion.
Star Wars goes to Illuminati Dark Side ~ Some interesting observations from Dr. Eowyn at Fellowship of the Minds about the promotional materials for the newest, heavily-hyped Star Wars installment.
If it’s freezing, it must be warming ~ As the seasons change, it’s always amusing to watch the weather fool with the climate science settlers ~
Beyond the humor of the (Al) Gore Effect is mounting evidence that the climate is cooling, not warming. No need to panic about global cooling, either. Based on Greenland ice cores, “[a]lternating climatic warming and cooling has occurred about every 27 years since 1470 AD, well before atmospheric CO2 began to increase.”
New Breastfeeding Studies: Mainstream Media Still Ignores the Obvious ~
Over five years ago, “while carrying out research into how breastfeeding can protect women from developing the killer disease [breast cancer],” scientists at the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka found that while “breastfeeding offered significant protection from cancer, they also noted that the highest reported risk factor in developing the disease was abortion.”
As researchers then found, the link between abortion and breast cancer “is caused by high levels of oestradiol, a hormone that stimulates breast growth during pregnancy. Its effects are minimized in women who take pregnancy to full term but it remains at dangerous levels in those who have abortions.”
We get faux-science to promote climate alarmism, but ignore real science when it comes to protecting women from breast cancer.
Will Smith: ‘Everybody Is Prejudiced,’ But ‘Racism Is Actually Rare’ ~ And simple truth-telling is refreshingly rare in a Hollywood celebrity! 🙂
Gates Foundation Suspected of Forcing Dangerous Contraceptive on African Nations
WHO’s (World Health Organization, one of Gates’ favorite “charities”) revised guidelines released October 21 now mirror those issued by Pfizer Pharmaceutical, Depo-Provera’s manufacturer. It states there is “no evidence of a causal association between DMPA use and an increase in women’s risk of HIV acquisition.” This reversal, says Hartmann, despite 25 years of scientific studies citing an increased risk of HIV transmission among women using it, raises questions about whether WHO abandoned caution due to “outside ‘encouragement’” by special interest groups […]
With 60% of women in sub-Saharan Africa using injectable contraceptives, and only half of the women in the region are literate, it was reported WHO would work on a communications strategy to reach users.
I’m firmly convinced that Bill and Melinda Gates are every bit as evil as Margaret Sanger was. Where do these people get the authority to deny reproductive rights – and health(!) – to women in developing nations?!
EU flags disappear from Polish government press briefings ~ Another step in the Right direction for Poland.
Being Thankful for the Left ~ I really enjoy the trademark satirical tone Sultan Knish (Daniel Greenfield) usually displays in his writing. But there’s none of that his uplifting and encouraging Thanksgiving reminder that ~
(The Left’s) evil teaches us to find the good within ourselves. Their strength teaches us to find our own strength. And their plots against what we have teach us how many treasures we have, not least of these being the full value of our freedom and our happiness that they wish to take from us.
Their war on America is teaching us to be better Americans. It may not feel that way right now, but we are privileged to have this opportunity and this fight.
Ungrateful? Remember, it can always get worse (and probably will!)
I originally posted this two years ago. Re-reading it, it’s eerie to see how prescient it was. In fact we’re closer than ever to the Brave New World described in this narrative; the dates mentioned for the various future Orwellian “Acts” are overly optimistic. Considering the way the country is imploding, I’d predict they’ll be in place several years sooner.
But I’m still truly thankful… that it’s not this bad – yet ~
“Celebrating” Thanksgiving in 10 years or so: a Day of Atonement
“Winston, come into the dining room, it’s time to eat,” Julia yelled to her husband.
“In a minute, honey, it’s a tie score,” he answered.
Actually Winston wasn’t very interested in the traditional holiday football game between Detroit and Washington . Ever since the government passed the Civility in Sports Statute of 2017, outlawing tackle football for its “unseemly violence” and the “bad” example
it sets for the rest of the world”, Winston was far less of a football fan than he used to be. Two-hand touch wasn’t nearly as exciting.
Yet it wasn’t the game that Winston was uninterested in. It was more the thought of eating another Tofu Turkey. Even though it was the best type of VeggieMeat available after the government revised the American Anti-Obesity Act of 2018, adding fowl to the list of federally-forbidden foods, (which already included potatoes, cranberry sauce, and mincemeat pie), it wasn’t anything like real turkey.
And ever since the government officially changed the name of “Thanksgiving Day” to “A National Day of Atonement” in 2020, to officially acknowledge the Pilgrims’ historically brutal treatment of Native Americans, the holiday had lost a lot of its luster.
Eating in the dining room was also a bit daunting. The unearthly gleam of government-mandated fluorescent light bulbs made the Tofu Turkey look even weirder than it actually was, and the room was always cold. Ever since Congress passed the Power Conservation Act of 2016, mandating all thermostats – which were monitored and controlled by the electric company – be kept at 68 degrees, every room on the north side of the house was barely tolerable throughout the entire winter.
Still, it was good getting together with family. Or at least most of the family.
Winston missed his mother, who passed on in October, when she had used up her legal allotment of life-saving medical treatment. He had had many heated conversations with the Regional Health Consortium, spawned when the private insurance market finally went bankrupt, and everyone was forced into the government health care program. And though he demanded she be kept on her treatment, it was a futile effort. “The RHC’s resources are limited,” explained the government bureaucrat Winston spoke with on the phone. “Your mother received all the benefits to which she was entitled. I’m sorry for your loss.”
Ed couldn’t make it either. He had forgotten to plug in his electric car last night, the only kind available after the Anti-Fossil Fuel Bill of 2021 outlawed the use of the combustion engines – for everyone but government officials. The fifty mile round trip was about ten miles too far, and Ed didn’t want to spend a frosty night on the road somewhere between here and there.
Thankfully, Winston’s brother, John, and his wife were flying in.
Winston made sure that the dining room chairs had extra cushions for the occasion. No one complained more than John about the pain of sitting down so soon after the government-mandated cavity searches at airports, which severely aggravated his hemorrhoids. Ever since a terrorist successfully smuggled a cavity bomb onto a jetliner, the TSA told Americans the added “inconvenience” was an “absolute necessity” in order to stay “one step ahead of the terrorists.”
Winston’s own body had grown accustomed to such probing ever since the government expanded their scope to just about anywhere a crowd gathered, via Anti-Profiling Act of 2022. That law made it a crime to single out any group or individual for “unequal scrutiny,” even when probable cause was involved. Thus, cavity searches at malls, train stations, bus depots, etc., etc., had become almost routine. Almost.
The Supreme Court is reviewing the statute, but most Americans expect a Court composed of six progressives and three conservatives to leave the law intact. “A living Constitution is extremely flexible”, said the Court’s eldest member, Elena Kagan. ” Europe has had laws like this one for years. We should learn from their example,” she added.
Winston’s thoughts turned to his own children. He got along fairly well with his 12-year-old daughter, Brittany, mostly because she ignored him. Winston had long ago surrendered to the idea that she could text anyone at any time, even during Atonement Dinner. Their only real confrontation had occurred when he limited her to 50,000 texts a month, explaining that was all he could afford. She whined for a week, but got over it.
His 16-year-old son, Jason, was another matter altogether. Perhaps it was the constant bombarding he got in public school that global warming, the bird flu, terrorism, or any of a number of other calamities were “just around the corner”, but Jason had developed a kind of nihilistic attitude that ranged between simmering surliness and outright hostility. It didn’t help that Jason had reported his father to the police for smoking a cigarette in the house, an act made criminal by the Smoking Control Statute of 2018, which outlawed smoking anywhere within 500 feet of another human being. Winston paid the $5,000 fine, which might have been considered excessive before the American dollar became virtually worthless as a result of QE13.
The latest round of quantitative easing the federal government initiated was, once again, to “spur economic growth.” This time, they promised to push unemployment below its years-long rate of 18%, but Winston was not particularly hopeful.
Yet the family had a lot for which to be thankful, Winston thought, before remembering it was a Day of Atonement.
At least, he had his memories. He felt a twinge of sadness when he realized his children would never know what life was like in the Good Old Days, long before government promises to make life “fair for everyone” realized their full potential. Winston, like so many of his fellow Americans, never realized how much things could change when they didn’t happen all at once, but little by little, so people could get used to them. He wondered what might have happened if the public had stood up while there was still time, maybe back around 2012, when all the real nonsense began.
“Maybe we wouldn’t be where we are today if we’d just said ‘enough is enough’ when we had the chance,” he thought.
Maybe so, Winston. Maybe so.
Retailers for the discerning Christian shopper
christmaspresentsSeems every year as we approach the holidays, there are any number of stores who are thrilled to help you celebrate by selling you gifts for friends and family. Yet despite raking in billions, somehow they just can’t bring themselves to mention the reason for the season. I don’t know about you, but I avoid places like that whenever possible and instead, patronize the ones who aren’t shy about using the “C” word.
To help you know the “naughty” from the “nice,” the AFA (American Family Association) has once again published their annual list as a guide to “Christmas-friendly” retail establishments. There are actually three categories; “Nice,” “Marginal” & “Naughty”. Contact information is included so you can let a store know whether you’re disappointed, or grateful for their marketing approach to Christmas.
It does make a difference to share your feelings with them. There are several companies who have jumped all the way from “naughty” to “nice” over the last few years. They got the message!
Happy to see that most of my favorite retailers made the “nice” list for Christmas 2015, including ~
• Ace Hardware
• Amazon.com
• Bed Bath & Beyond
• Cracker Barrel
• Hobby Lobby
• Michael’s Stores
• JoAnn Fabrics
• Kohl’s
• L.L. Bean
Here are the dirty dozen on the “naughty” list ~
scrooge
• Barnes & Noble
• Family Dollar
• Foot Locker
• The Limited
• Maurice’s
• Office Depot
• Office Max
• Pet Smart
• Staples
• Stein Mart
• Supervalu
• Victoria’s Secret
To my way of thinking, if you’re not willing to acknowledge the very “holiday” that you’re peddling “gifts” for – I’m certainly not willing to part with any hard-earned cash in your establishment.
Serenading Satan at the Bataclan?
In an interesting but very unsettling sidelight to Paris attacks on Friday the 13th, the American rock group performing at the Bataclan happened to be in the middle of a disturbing song when the terrorists opened fire.
eaglesofdeathmetalThe music hall was the site of the greatest carnage that night; 89 of the 130 dead were killed there. The attack began just as the “Eagles of Death Metal” were belting out what turned our to be a darkly prophetic number called “Kiss the Devil.” Here are some of the charming lyrics, via The Remnant ~
“Kiss The Devil”
Who’ll love the devil?…
Who’ll sing his song?…
Who will love the devil and his song?…
I’ll love the devil!…
I’ll sing his song!…
I will love the devil and his song!… Who’ll love the devil?… Who’ll kiss his tongue?… Who will kiss the devil on his tongue?… I’ll love the devil!… I’ll kiss his tongue!…
I will kiss the devil on his tongue!…
Who’ll love the devil?…
Who’ll sing his song?…
I WILL LOVE THE DEVIL AND SING HIS SONG!…
Rather appropriate introduction to the unholy bloodshed that followed don’t you think?
PARIS (AP) — The vibe in the Bataclan concert hall was hot, steamy and electric as the California rock band Eagles of Death Metal jammed away a half-hour into a set. Revelers slam-danced to the hard rock, and bodies glistened with sweat. Suddenly, the drum beats gave way to a different kind of rat-a-tat-tat-tat, and flashing stage lights met with glints from automatic rifle barrels.
In the spasm of chaos, some revelers thought the lights and sounds were part of the show. Then the lead singer fled, bodies began to fall — and shouts of partying turned to screams of horror […]
The legendary music venue in a shabby-chic corner of Paris turned into a chamber of death that one policeman described as “Dante’s Inferno,” as three men laden with explosives and toting Kalashnikovs fired indiscriminately at revelers, turning the dance floor into a sea of blood and body parts.
ISIS is an Islamic death cult. Any wonder that Satan would use them to carry out his wicked plans?
