Boko Haram jihadists have in recent months increasingly used young women and girls as suicide bombers in northeast Nigeria, northern Cameroon, Chad and Niger, leaving death and destruction in their wake.
Leila Zerrougui, the UN secretary-general’s special representative on children and armed conflict, suggested Tuesday that especially the children used in this way were in many cases not aware of what they were about to do.
“Many of them don’t know that they will be blown up with remote devices,” she told reporters, pointing out many of the girls are as young as 11 or 12.
Good Lord. What kind of sick “religion” uses innocent children to slaughter other innocents? A satanic one!
And yet after describing these horrors, the mainstream media (AFP via Yahoo) – in typically morally relativist fashion – matter-of-factly says “The world is currently dealing with six major conflicts, including in Syria and Yemen, compared to one or two normally.” “Conflicts?” In North Africa and the Middle East? In an area dominated by Muslims? But scant mention of the vile ideology driving this madness, the religion-which-must-not-be-named?
We in the West are politically correcting ourselves to death.

GOP Debate – Who’s right on Assad?
I’m listening as CNN has the GOP presidential candidates engaged in a lively debate over Syria and whether or not we should focus on “taking out” Bashar Assad.
The ill-informed, and the RINOS (I’m lookin at you John Kasich), insist that Syria’s president has to go. The more astute (thank-you Ted Cruz!) know better.
Yes, Assad is a dictator. And like all dictators, the actions he takes are always predicated on one thing: maintaining power. In this he’s no different that Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi and Hosni Mubarak.
But the fact is, those “bad guys” actually represented the elusive “moderate Muslims” we’re always searching for. All of them acted as very effective restraints on the radical elements of Islam. Now that they’ve been “taken out,” the Middle East – as Donald Trump so inelegantly put it – is just a big mess.
Just last month a top Democrat(!) was pointing out exactly that ~ Islamic State Wouldn’t Be So Powerful if U.S. Didn’t Topple Dictators ~
Democratic National Committee Vice Chairwoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) told CNN’s Jake Tapper Friday that the Islamic State would not be a strong as it is today if the United States had not overthrown Middle Eastern dictators.
Gabbard voiced her opinion after being pressed by Tapper for suggesting the U.S. shouldn’t be working to topple “blood-thirsty tyrant” Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
“The same things were said about Saddam Hussein in Iraq; the same things were said about Gadhafi in Libya,” Gabbard said. “Look at the state of these countries today — they have been overrun and are filled with chaos.
“ISIS and Islamic extremist groups have grown stronger in these countries and are terrorizing the people there,” the congresswoman continued.
Amazing. Here’s one Dem who’s actually living in the real world!
Hussein(Iraq), Mubarak(Egypt) and Gadhafi(Libya) weren’t exactly angels, but all acted as restraining forces against the crazy Islamists. And that’s exactly why Bashar Assad should be left in place.

Appearing on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports with guest host Peter Alexander, Breanna Champion of the Black Youth Project called it “unacceptable” that police receive 40 percent of the city’s budget.
“One of our major demands is that police be defunded and that that money used to fund police be used to fund black futures, and be used to fund our communities and things that we need,” Champion said.
Franklin Graham meets with President Putin ~ Not convinced this is such a great idea – but since President Hope ‘n Change can’t be bothered with Christian concerns, may as well appeal to those who are. Graham was also there to meet with representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church ~
Our visit was tremendously encouraging to the churches, and in many ways to me as well, and I pray that seeds were planted for future work and ministry between denominations. I believe God has more that He wants to do there.

Christianity – at what cost?
Open Doors, an international, non-profit organization serving the persecuted Church, was founded by Andrew van der Bijl, “Brother Andrew,” 60 years ago. His first “mission” was smuggling bibles behind the Iron Curtain (you can read the moving account of his early years in “God’s Smuggler”).
Brother Andrew narrates parts of the video below, speaking about spreading the gospel and being an ambassador for Christ – even at the risk of one’s own life.
The cost of discipleship is something western Christians barely spare a moment’s consideration. But for many middle eastern believers, the conscious decision to follow Jesus is a daily one; the threat of suffering or even martyrdom, all too real ~
As this short film weaves between the story of Brother Andrew’s early adventures of faith and the story of the church in Syria today, we are presented with the same choice: are we ready to say ‘Yes’ to God, whatever the cost?

Meanwhile, in another part of the world…
Whoa! If you thought America’s elite ruling class was hostile to Christianity, get a load of the child-snatching government of Norway ~ Norway’s child welfare seizes family’s five kids for alleged ‘Christian indoctrination.’
Yes. Seems Norway has a Gestapo-like child welfare services organization called Barnevernet. This authoritarian agency simply decided one day last month to grab the five children of of a Pentecostal Christian couple, Marius and Ruth Bodnariu.
The following account of this official seizure is from Marius’ brother Daniel ~
This past Monday, November 16th, Child Welfare Services (Barnevernet) “kidnapped” the two oldest children (Eliana and Naomi) from school without the knowledge of their parents. Barnevarnet, accompanied by police, then came to the Bodnariu home and forcibly took custody of the two older boys (Matthew and John); leaving a devastated Ruth at home with only three month old Ezekiel while Marius was at work.
Marius promptly came home from work to understand what was taking place and, together with Ruth, visited the police station and Barnevernet to resolve the situation. Because Ruth was crying and devastated by the events, Barnevernet and four policemen showed up at their family home on Tuesday, November 17, without any court order or documentation, and also took 3 month old Ezekiel on the stated grounds that the mother posed a danger to her child.
And how’s this for fascism? ~
On Wednesday, November 18, Barneverent notified Ruth that her kids were separated into two families and that the children already started integrating into their new lifestyle.
That’s it – case closed?! One day you’re a happy family with five small children and the next day the state steps in, takes them away and gives them to someone else?! Are you kidding me?!
And Barnevarnet’s absurd charge? “Christian radicalism and indoctrination.”
I found several other articles about this outrage online, but none of them were able to get more specific information on the allegations. I did learn from a few different sources that Barnevarnet has a decided preference for persecuting non-Norwegians (in this case Ruth is Norwegian; Marius is Romanian). As Daniel continues ~
The Barnevernet has a history of prevalently focusing their efforts on immigrant families or on families in which one of the parents is of a different nationality (as in my brother’s case, Romanian). Documentation has evidenced that the Barnevernet has a long history of acting on unimaginable grounds including: the father putting the child to do certain chores in the home, the baby sleeping in the same bed as the parent or the child weighing one kilogram lighter than the national average for his/her age group. Norwegian children are taught in school to notify their teachers if a parent asks them to do their homework, or do something that a child in their childishness finds unappealing, so that teachers help the children get rid of such parents.
Brave new world anyone?! But don’t think it won’t happen here… if we don’t stop the totalitarian-minded leftists from advancing their agenda.

In recent weeks we have additionally become aware that Norway seemingly targets ethnic families for similar treatment, not only Romanian. East European families and families from outside of Europe have also complained that Norway systematically violates parental rights in separating, on a whim sometimes, their children from their biological parents.
There are even more serious allegations leveled against Barnevernet that it separates ethnic children from their parents by design to ensure the children grow up Norwegian, uprooted from their ethnic, religious, or racial identities. We can only deplore such policies and respectfully ask that they be stopped.

In this video, one of my favorite radio hosts – author, biblical scholar and Messianic Jewish apologist, Dr. Michael Brown talks about the outrageously, twisted logic of so many leftists. He explains how they just refuse to accept irrefutable facts, especially when it comes to Islamists and the real meaning of “hate” ~

It is simply false to declare that jihadists represent the “tiny few extremists” who sully the reputation of an otherwise peace-loving and tolerant Muslim faith. In reality, the truth is far more troubling — that jihadists represent the natural and inevitable outgrowth of a faith that is given over to hate on a massive scale, with hundreds of millions of believers holding views that Americans would rightly find revolting. Not all Muslims are hateful, of course, but so many are that it’s not remotely surprising that the world is wracked by wave after wave of jihadist violence.

Leftist media mocks God, prayer, believers
The day after the San Bernadino jihadi couple gunned down 14 innocent human beings in cold blood, the New York Daily News thought it was somehow appropriate to lecture Americans: “God Isn’t Fixing This.”
Say what?! Rich Schapiro’s smug assertion is outrageous on so many levels – where to start?
First, as Brent Bozell points out, we need to keep in mind what rabid secularists most of the mainstream media folks really are, they’re just lately ramping up the aggression ~
The media have harbored anti-religious bigotry for years. But now it’s turned vicious. This tragedy drew out liberal animus against those offensive “prayer people” who won’t back gun control. Washington Post columnist Gene Weingarten angrily announced on Twitter: “Dear ‘thoughts and prayers’ people: Please shut up and slink away. You are the problem, and everyone knows it.”
Weingarten wasn’t alone. Unbelievably, while the terrorist attack was still underway in California, leftist journalists took to social media, verbally attacking those offering prayers for the victims ~
“Your thoughts and prayers don’t mean a damn thing,” tweeted one. A reporter at the Huffington Post damned public officials’ “useless thoughts and prayers.” Markos Moulitsas of Daily Kos: “How many dead people did those thoughts and prayers bring back to the life?”
Mollie Hemingway of the Federalist noted that all these denunciations were literally coming in while victims of the shooting were sending out requests for prayer.

Such charming group aren’t they?
Until this recent uptick in crassness, even well-known atheists have been fairly civil in their dissent. As Bozell reminds us, Hitchens and Dawkins certainly didn’t disparage prayer ~
For example, the late atheist Christopher Hitchens thanked the people who were praying for him after he was diagnosed with the cancer that would take his life.
And more recently, Richard Dawkins, author of “The God Delusion,” criticized British theaters for refusing to run a Church of England ad about the Lord’s Prayer. He said “If anybody is ‘offended’ by something so trivial as a prayer, they deserve to be offended.”

Because their animosity toward religion and “prayer” (by which they mean Christianity) is irrational, these “offended” media types have to misrepresent the faith and the faithful. Either out of ignorance, or deliberately, they refuse to acknowledge that the prayers offered up are asking God to be with and comfort the victims – not raise the dead. But by trivializing the faith they can pretend real evil doesn’t exist, and avoid having to face the Truth.
In their mocking of Christians, these leftists also expose their stunning hypocrisy. They’d never ridicule the terrorists’ Religion-of-Peace the way they denigrate Christianity.
Furthermore, the presumption behind the “God Isn’t Fixing This” headline is specious. Were it written to tell the truth rather than to jeer, it could have been “God won’t fix this.” Or, better yet, “God won’t fix this until we turn back to Him with humility and repentance.”

This whole “prayer shaming” phenomenon, as it’s been dubbed, is just more evidence of the extreme polarization of Americans these days. One side still believes in and looks to God for strength and comfort when their fellow humans perpetrate inhuman acts of violence. And the other is angry and accusatory, faithless and clueless.
It’s painfully obvious which side the media is on ~
The Lichter-Rothman “Media Elite” surveys back in 1981 revealed that 50 percent of the news media did not believe in God and 86 percent seldom or never went to church or synagogue. You can only surmise that it’s worsened since then. If you don’t want to believe in God, it’s sad but acceptable. But what the Daily News lunged far further, ridiculing people of faith for offering simple prayers after a massacre.
