Running on Empty Rhetoric

As Speaker of the House, Representative John Boehner generally leaves a lot for conservatives to desire, but he does come up with the occasional gem. Like this graphic showing Obama’s direct role in driving up fuel costs ~

This administration is directly responsible for pumping up prices by cancelling leases on federal lands in Utah and off the Virginia coast and suspending or delaying them in other states, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico where permits have slowed to a crawl. And then Obama audaciously takes credit for higher oil production – when in reality the increase is almost exclusively coming from private lands.

Judging by the president’s duplicitous speech in Florida yesterday, we can only expect more of the same. Especially if – God forbid – he’s re-elected.
As Doug Powers at Michelle Malkin puts it;

…from what I’ve read (of the speech) so far it boiled down to two things: We can’t drill our way to lower gas prices, and if we try to kick-start enough Solyndras eventually some of them might get off the ground before the country goes bankrupt.
