What’s Happening in Syria? A Guide for the Perplexed ~ John Zmirak explains the basics in a Q & A format

Kurds urge US to assume ‘moral obligations,’ say they’re being left to slaughter ~

The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces on Saturday urged its US allies to assume their “moral obligations” to protect them from a cross-border Turkish offensive, now in its fourth day.

“Our allies had guaranteed us protection… but suddenly and without warning they abandoned us in an unjust decisions to withdraw their troops from the Turkish border,” it said in a statement. “We call on our allies to fulfill their duties and assume their moral obligations,” to protect us by “closing the air space to Turkish warplanes.”

Israelis, Europeans take to streets to protest Turkish assault on Kurds ~ Americans yawn and change the channel ~

Several hundred demonstrate in Jerusalem; tens of thousands more hold protests in Paris and elsewhere, accusing Erdogan of terrorism

Speaking of protests ~ Jane Fonda Arrested in D.C. Protesting Climate Change ~ Good grief! This bimbo has never been on the right side of anything ~

Jane was arrested Friday along with a number of other protesters on the steps on the east side of the Capitol building. In video from the demonstration, you see Jane being placed in handcuffs and escorted into a police van.

Jane was demonstrating with the group Oil Change International over the climate change crisis. The protest is part of Jane’s “Fire Drill Fridays” initiative — she’s vowed to protest outside the Capitol every Friday, rain or shine, and says she’s been inspired by Swedish teen activist Greta Thunberg and her weekly climate strikes across the globe.

Electric-Car Owners Shocked by California Blackouts ~ Reality wins again ~

So if you’re a Californian who bought an electric car to save the environment, now you can’t drive it because of the risk to the environment. If you really cared about the planet, you wouldn’t go anywhere or do anything or participate in 21st Century life at all.

County Records Contradict Warren’s Claim She Was Fired Over Pregnancy ~ Fauxcahontas can’t tell the truth about anything; the quintessential progressive ~

RIVERDALE, N.J.—The Riverdale Board of Education approved a second-year teaching contract for a young Elizabeth Warren, documents show, contradicting the Democratic presidential candidate’s repeated claims that she was asked not to return to teaching after a single year because she was “visibly pregnant.”

U.N. Pleads for Money as Finances Poised to Run Dry by Month’s End ~ Nope. Time to disband ~

The United Nations is running a deficit of $230 million, Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned on Monday, and may run out of money by the end of October unless world governments immediately meet their financial obligations.

Oppose Impeachment ~ A “toolkit” for those of us who understand that this impeachment circus is just another partisan stunt. Heritage Action explains what the Dems are up to, how the process is actually supposed to work, and how to counter the spin ~

Impeachment is as serious an exercise that our representative government can undertake. The cavalier manner in which Speaker Pelosi is beginning this process exposes the worst kind of partisan politics. Presidents Nixon and Clinton faced an impeachment inquiry only after a vote by the House. Pelosi is buckling under the pressure of left-wing activists to impeach President Trump while violating the process to protect Democratic members who may lose reelection if they vote on impeachment […]

All the facts in this impeachment reveal a nakedly partisan attempt to overturn the will of the American people. It is an illegitimate attempt to overturn the election of President Trump in 2016.

Hunter Biden: The Most Comprehensive Timeline ~ Jim Geraghty does the serious journalism research that the mainstreams not only refuse to do, but are vigorously ignoring (the shady dealings in China are worse than those in Unkraine). He covers from 2006 to present. Only thing missing is Hunter’s present-day whereabouts 😀

Ukraine Donated the Most Cash of Any Country to the Clinton Foundation ~ AND ~ Report: John Kerry’s State Dept. Sought to Build ‘Activist Network’ Throughout Ukraine Just Days After Trump Won Election ~ But let’s ignore those uncomfortable facts and try to invent something to pin on Trump ~

The latest dots to be connected involve former Secretary of State John Kerry, who, according to an unearthed document, sought to build an “activist network” in Ukraine just days after President Trump won the 2016 election […]

The document goes into great detail about the type “activism” the Sate Department was looking for, including organizations supporting “local civility” in Ukraine, and “civic activism,” and “watchdog” functions […]

Why on earth would our State Department be sending out a notice like this for activism in Ukraine? Why the hell does our U.S. intel, and Obama officials, and Democrats have such an interest and stake in this country?

22 million in U.S. are ‘not a citizen’, Census survey finds ~ More than 6% of the population?! (And of course they’ll all vote Democrat.)

Dutch Farmers Launch Massive Tractor Brigade Against The Hague Over Green Fascism ~ Thousands of farmers formed a tractorcade ~

(Netherlands) The demonstration has been prompted by a suggestion from coalition party D66 that Dutch livestock farming should be slashed to meet commitments on reducing nitrogren emissions. Farming organisations say their members are sick of being described by politicians, the media and activists as pollutors and animal abusers.

The Dutch people are supporting the farmers by a margin of 80%.

Francis Reaches a New Ridiculous Low: Pagan Rituals on Vatican Hill ~ also ~ Pope hosts tree-planting ritual where indigenous bow to topless pregnant statue ~ Francis: the first pagan pope?

Francis is, above all, or below it all, a ridiculous and pathetic man. Ridiculous men are made more ridiculous when they occupy august offices: Francis seems to fancy causing scandal, and this is just the latest example. On the other, while they (the pope and his cadre of liberal bishops) claim they “respect” indigenous people, nothing could be more disrespectful than this: these poor natives are brought across the Atlantic to be used as puppets of evil liberal men.

These men could not care less about the natives, and certainly not about their souls (we would be shocked if they actually believed in the existence of souls at all): they have used the indigenous, use them now, and will use them as long as possible as mere marionettes to carry out their evil designs.

Members of Previous Generations Now Seem Like Giants ~ Professor and historian, Victor Davis Hanson, with an insightful reflection on the woeful ineptitude of our present-day western civilization ~

We of the 21st century are beginning to look back at our own lost epic times and wonder about these now-nameless giants who left behind monuments that we cannot replicate, but instead merely use or even mock.

Does anyone believe that contemporary Americans could build another transcontinental railroad in six years?

Californians tried to build a high-speed rail line. But after more than a decade of government incompetence, lawsuits, cost overruns and constant bureaucratic squabbling, they have all but given up. The result is a half-built overpass over the skyline of Fresno — and not yet a foot of track laid […]

America went to the moon in 1969 with supposedly primitive computers and backward engineering. Does anyone believe we could launch a similar moonshot today? No American has set foot on the moon in the last 47 years, and it may not happen in the next 50 years.

Our ancestors were builders and pioneers and mostly fearless. We are regulators, auditors, bureaucrats, adjudicators, censors, critics, plaintiffs, defendants, social media junkies and thin-skinned scolds. A distant generation created; we mostly delay, idle and gripe.

As we walk amid the refuse, needles and excrement of the sidewalks of our fetid cities; as we sit motionless on our jammed ancient freeways; and as we pout on Twitter and electronically whine in the porticos of our Ivy League campuses, will we ask: “Who were these people who left these strange monuments that we use but can neither emulate nor understand?”

In comparison to us, they now seem like gods.
