I’ve been meaning to get to this post on Robert Mueller and Louis Gohmert since Mueller appeared before the House Judiciary Committee a couple weeks ago. The consensus from both sides of the aisle seems to be that the hearing was a draw, with neither side of the Russian Collusion farce willing to retreat from their pre-hearing positions.
Here was Rep. Gohmert (R-TX) questioning the former special counsel on July 24th:

Robert Mueller’s months-long witch hunt into so-called ‘Russian collusion’ continues to spiral out of control. Despite hundreds of hours of non-stop liberal-media coverage, most Americans still know very little about the man behind the probe.
Congressman Louie Gohmert has had enough of the special counsel’s abuse of power, and he’s prepared to ‘unmask’ Mueller’s questionable history and total lack of judgment spanning decades.
In Robert Mueller: Unmasked, the GOP Representative pulls back the curtain and exposes the sordid truth surrounding the special counsel’s career.
“What I have accumulated here is absolutely shocking upon the realization that Mueller’s disreputable, twisted history speaks to the character of the man placed in a position to attempt to legalize a coup against a lawfully elected President,” writes Gohmert.
You really have to read the full report to appreciate the magnitude of the abuses Mueller has perpetrated. The damage he and his minions have done is incalculable.
Like most power-hungry partisans he’s adept at eliminating threats to what he sees as his rightful domain. Targeting and destroying the careers of anyone who gets too close to exposing the truth about bureaucratic ineptitude – or outright corruption – is a favorite strategy. I’ll highlight just a couple of the more egregious examples.
Congressman Curt Weldon defeated by Mueller’s FBI ~
Back in 2005-2006 Congressman Curt Weldon (R-PA), a 9 term representative, was on a mission to find out why the FBI hadn’t done more to prevent the 9-11 terrorist attacks ~

Curt Weldon gave speech after speech, recounting what he saw and what he knew, recounting the FBI and the Clinton administration failures in information sharing that led to 9-11.
Clearly, this trouble-maker needed to be stopped. And he was. The following account is from World Net Daily ~
Each of Weldon’s 10 previous re-elections had been by sizable margins. Polls showed he was up by 5-7 points before the Clintons and pals weighed in.
Three weeks prior to the election, however, a national story ran about Weldon based upon anonymous sources that an investigation was underway against him and his daughter, alleging illegal activities involving his congressional work.
Weldon had received no prior notification of any such investigation and was dumbfounded that such a story would run especially since he regularly briefed the FBI and intelligence agencies on his work.
A week after the news story broke, alleging a need to act quickly because of the leak, FBI agents from Washington raided the home of Weldon’s daughter at 7 a.m. on a Monday morning. Howard Sklamberg oversaw the action.
Local TV and print media had all been alerted to the raid in advance and were already in position to cover the story. Within hours, Democratic protesters were waving “Caught Red-Handed” signs outside Weldon’s district office in Upper Darby.
In the ensuing two weeks, local and national media ran multiple stories implying that Weldon too must have been under investigation. Given the coverage, Weldon lost the election.
To this day (Nov. 2, 2016), incredibly, no one in authority has talked to Weldon or his daughter about the raid or the investigation. There was no follow up, no questions, no grand jury interrogation, nothing.
Other unlucky souls who ran afoul of the imperious Mr. Mueller include Senator Ted Stevens, Scooter Libby, General Michael Flynn and Dr. Steven Hatfill (prosecuted for an anthrax attack he had nothing to do with) ~
Unfortunately, both Mueller and Comey were absolutely and totally convinced of the innocent man’s (Dr. Hatfill) guilt. They ruined his life, his relationship with friends, neighbors and potential employers.
Achieving the ends through dishonest means is one of old Bob’s particularly nasty tactics as Gohmert points out ~
If the desired crime to be prosecuted was never committed, then talk to someone you want to convict until you find something that others are willing to say was not true. Then you can convict them of lying to the FBI. [Sound familiar?!]
Martha Stewart found out about Mueller’s FBI the hard way. Unfortunately, Mueller has left a wake of innocent people whom he has crowned with criminal records.
Mueller’s long list of abuses of authority include illegally raiding congressional offices for intimidation purposes, subverting the effectiveness of the FBI by relocating experienced field personnel to pencil-pushing desk jobs, misuse/abuse of National Security Letters to go on fishing expeditions, punishing whistle-blowers who attempted to expose corruption and purging FBI training materials of pertinent intel on Islamic terrorists ~

Director Mueller had all of the training materials regarding radical Islam “purged” of anything that might offend radical Islamic terrorists. So, in addition to using his “Five Year Up-or-Out” policy to force out so many experienced FBI agents who had been properly trained to identify radical Islamic terrorists, now Mueller was going even further. He was ensuring that new FBI agents would not know what to look for when assessing potentially radicalized individuals.
Did you get that? Instead of doing his job, protecting the country from all enemies foreign and domestic, the director of the FBI was deliberately undermining national security!
So don’t feel sorry for poor old Mueller. Pray that he’s actually brought to justice some day for all the damage he’s done to the integrity of the FBI – and to the entire country.
The Russian Collusion circus has now been exposed for what always has been: a blatant attempt to take down a sitting president. If this subversive act – by Mueller and the rest of his crooked posse – is allowed to sink into the D.C. swamp without anyone being prosecuted (like most of the Democrats’ nefarious schemes) it will be a tragedy. But it won’t be from a lack of resolute effort on the part of Louis Gohmert.

Robert Mueller—Befuddled Old Man or Sly as a Fox ~
(J)ust in case he is unable to pull off denying his participation in the most egregious fraudulent hoax ever perpetrated on the President and the American public in U.S. history, he also used his highly publicized appearance before Congress last week to avail himself to a Plan B—i.e., present to the public the image of a befuddled old man who decency would dictate should be left alone. His hope there, of course, being to use this newly created doddering image of himself at some point in the future to enlist the court of public opinion to come to his defense, if and when it ever becomes necessary.
Cliff Nichols also mentions a couple more of the former director’s transgressions ~
(H)e allegedly facilitated the furtherance of an illegal pay-for-play kickback scheme that involved the sale of 20% of America’s uranium supply to Russia;
(H)e allegedly signed off on an extremely lenient plea deal involving Jeffrey Epstein in 2008 that today some believe was intended to help conceal, and possibly protect, the continued existence of Epstein’s alleged global sex-trafficking/extortion operations.
The swamp is deep indeed.
