Operation Christmas Child

Looking for a meaningful way to help spread the Good News about Jesus and help a needy child during the Christmas season this year? Samaritan’s Purse’ “Operation Christmas Child” is a great way to do that. Our teenage son even gets into the spirit and enjoys dashing around the local super-mart finding things “for my little guy.”

“The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love
in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the
local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.”

Izabella McMillion was 13 when she received an Operation Christmas Child
shoe box gift in communist Romania. Now, she is packing boxes for
other children who need to know God’s love.

~~~~~~~
Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has distributed the shoe boxes to over 86 million children in 130 different nations.
It’s fun, and easy to get involved. Click on the banner ad on the left for directions. You chose whether to buy for a boy or a girl, and pick from three different age groups. Once your box is packed, wrapped and ready to go, you just drop it off at one of the collection locations, between November 14th and the 21st. After Samaritan’s Purse has distributed all the boxes, you can go back online and find out which country yours was sent to.
Operation Christmas Child is an activity you should consider adding to your holiday traditions. Not only will it warm the heart of a child – it will warm your’s as well. :)
