The Swamp targets another courageous conservative

Because they’re bereft of any ethics or principles, the D.C. establishment automatically opposes anyone who possesses those virtues. Any right-leaning politician whose principled stands on various issues threaten to expose ruling class progressives for the scam artists they are – or endangers the stranglehold that they have on so many of our government agencies – is automatically targeted for elimination.

Such is the case with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), reliably conservative, a vocal member of the Freedom Caucus and a strong contender for Speaker of the House (when Paul Ryan steps down at the end this term).

JimJordan Star Parker lauded him in this April 27th piece at the Daily Signal ~

Jordan co-founded the House Freedom Caucus in 2015 with eight other conservative Republicans. He explained then that the motivation for founding the caucus was to give “a voice to countless Americans who feel that Washington does not represent them. We support open, accountable, and limited government, the Constitution, and the rule of law and policies that promote liberty, safety, and prosperity for all Americans.

Conservative Review gives Jordan a 98% Liberty Score. A staunch proponent of fiscal responsibility, he consistently votes down bailouts and massive spending increases.

As Parker points out, Jim Jordan believes in the three C’s that have been the pillars of American success and greatness: Christianity, capitalism, and the Constitution. Naturally, you can see why D.C. Swamp creatures would be anxious to thwart the goals of such a principled conservative. By all means they have to prevent him from becoming Speaker.

So here’s what they’ve come up with ➡ suspicious allegations that Jordan turned a blind eye to sexual abuse while coaching wrestling at Ohio State University from 1986 to 1994 ~

(T)hree former OSU wrestlers claimed it was common knowledge that Dr. Richard Strauss, the team doctor from the mid-1970s to the late 1990s, sexually abused members of the wrestling team. Strauss (committed suicide) in 2005, but in April 2018, OSU announced the school had launched an investigation into the sexual abuse allegations. Mike DiSabato, Dunyasha Yetts, and one former teammate who declined to identify himself also claimed that Jordan, who worked as an assistant coach, knew of the abuse and did nothing.

Of course this pseudo-history is completely bogus. But when has the Left ever let facts get in the way of smearing a conservative?

In a July 6th article at Conservative Review, Nate Madden raised serious questions about DiSabato and Yetts’ credibility (bullying and other threatening behavior, fraud conviction, suit-happy). The law firm investigating OSU, Perkins Coie, LLP, is also suspect ~

(They’re) the very same company that paid for the infamous “dirty dossier” about President Trump and retained the cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike after learning that the Democratic National Committee’s servers had been hacked.

And oh, Rep. Jordan just so happens to be on the House committee investigating the FBI-DOJ roles in the whole Trump-Russian Collusion circus. No wonder Perkins Coie sees him as as adversary.

Jim Jordan has a outstanding reputation, he’s known for his honesty and integrity. Which is why men like Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) and former senator Jim DeMint have unequivocally come out in support of him ~

“Jim Jordan is a fine and decent person who has a lifetime history of being honorable and honest, unlike his accusers whose extremely troubled backgrounds and ongoing legal and financial troubles place the veracity of their allegations into the realm of ridiculous.

“Unlike the Olympians who were minor children at the time they were abused, these former wrestlers were adults at the time they claim they were sexually abused by the Ohio State team doctor. Note that they do not claim they reported specific abuse to Jim Jordan or to anyone else. To the contrary, they specifically state they did not tell Jordan but instead say he should have known because there was talk around the locker room.” ~ Rep. Louie Gohmert

“The accusations did not describe the man of character and courage I’ve known for more than a decade. When I read the actual stories under those headlines, my reaction turned from dread to outrage. Jordan isn’t being accused; he’s being railroaded […]

“There is a notably strange absence of the other OSU sports staff’s supposed role in this massive conspiracy. The core of the allegation against Jordan is that, as an assistant coach, he must have known what Strauss was doing to athletes. Yet the accusers make no mention of what OSU Head Coach Russ Hellickson ‘must have known.’

“The accusers had to know making these provocative claims against a nationally popular conservative lawmaker would maximize news coverage and gain the sympathy of a liberal media quick to believe the worst about conservatives.” ~ Jim DeMint

Which is exactly why they’re running with this well-timed character assassination. And if you don’t think the media – and every major search engine – is complicit, just do a simple search for “Jim Jordan.” It’s practically impossible to find anything about anything the man has accomplished in the eleven years he’s served in the House. Instead link after link screams: “Jim Jordan knew of sexual abuse!” I’m talking 7-8 pages deep in a search. Give me a break!

Emmett Tyrrell at Townhall points out the utter absurdity of this clown show ~

How is it that we have arrived at this bizarre point in our history? We are harassing a world-class athlete about vaporous charges going back 30 years to when he was an assistant coach. Even if the charges are true, it is not clear what he could have done about them. Thirty years ago, things could not have been more different. When Alf says his teammates “joked” about their randy doctor, I have a good idea what he is talking about. Does anyone born after, say, 2000 have any idea?

My friends on the left cannot move from A to B without contradicting themselves in this crazy world that they have, in large part, constructed. They are attacking Congressman Jordan for not reporting the homosexual behavior of a randy doctor in the 1980s (he incidentally committed suicide in 2005), behavior that they now approve of or are at least sympathetic toward. What is more, many of the Ohio State wrestlers back in the 1980s had reached their majority. They were over 18. Moreover, most could have broken the doctor’s legs. By the way, Jordan, who was barley older than the wrestlers, now stands accused of failing to report charges that these athletes also failed to report.

This is all a complete hoax, deliberately aimed at trying to take down a strong conservative advocate. And secondarily, to intimidate anyone else who might want consider taking on the mighty ruling class elitists of the swamp.

House Freedom Caucus Is Standing By Jim Jordan ~

The House Freedom Caucus voted unanimously on Tuesday to support Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan amid allegations that he ignored claims of sexual abuse while he was a wrestling coach at Ohio State University […]

North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows, the chairman of the caucus and a close ally of Jordan’s, told reporters that Jordan has the “unanimous support” of the nearly three dozen Freedom Caucus members. Meadows also said that there were unspecified “motives at play” to take down Jordan.

The show of support comes after 15 former Ohio State wrestlers issued statements on Tuesday denying allegations against Jordan. Six former university coaches, including legendary former head coach Russ Hellickson, defended Jordan in a joint statement on Monday.
