Clapper’s “falsehood of the tongue”

founders-quote-TJefferson“It is of great importance to set a resolution, not to be shaken, never to tell an untruth. There is no vice so mean, so pitiful, so contemptible; and he who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and a third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world’s believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good disposition.”

–Thomas Jefferson (letter to Peter Carr, 19 August 1785)

Speaking of liars… what a pathetic disgrace Obama’s national intelligence director is ~ Lying Liar James Clapper Just Lied Again About His Previous Lies About NSA Spying; exhibiting precisely the behavior that Jefferson was warning about.

jamesClapperIt would be bad enough if Clapper’s dishonesty were confined to the sphere of his personal life (perhaps cheating on his wife or taxes), at least it wouldn’t have national security implications. Instead he – and his cohorts (James Comey, John Brennan, Andrew McCabe, Robert Mueller, etc., etc.)- have severely undermined we-the-people‘s trust in our government. They’ve told so many falsehoods over the course of RussiaGate they’re now tripping over themselves trying to keep them all straight.

And any further embellishment from these lying liars – i.e., We only spied on him for his own good, because hey, you know those sneaky Russians – simply strains credulity to the breaking point. (After all, if anyone needed to be spied on to prevent Russian collusion during the campaign it was Hillary, considering her shady uranium peddling.)

For the sake of the Republic let’s just hope the damage they’ve done to the integrity of our intelligence agencies can one day be restored.

Michelle Malkin SLAMS James Clapper: ‘Liar,’ ‘leaker,’ and ‘crapweasel’ ~ On “Fox & Friends” this morning ~

Malkin criticized the Obama administration for turning American intelligence agencies into what she considers “a massive voter disenfranchisement program.” She said “Spygate” could “turn out to be the most scandalous thing that has happened in Washington in American history.”

“This was not about ‘protecting the Trump campaign,’ as James Clapper obnoxiously tries to argue on TV and everywhere else. This was about upending a presidential candidate and trying to delegitimize him, which is what they’ve been doing ever since he took office,” Malkin said.

She called out the Left for “looking the other way” on potential government spying abuses. She also slammed Clapper, who previously lied to Congress about government data collection.

“He’s a liar, he’s a leaker, and he’s a crapweasel — textbook definition of it,” Malkin said.

Although I’m pretty sure Thomas Jefferson never heard the term “crapweasel,” there’s no doubt he would agree with Michelle. :)
