Loving everybody – always

Update: 5-22-18 ~

I just realized that the video embedded in this post was pulled. Hmmm…
Since it was created and posted by North Point Community Church – on their YouTube Channel, I have to assume that Bob Goff has some proprietary agreement with the church that prevents them from sharing his messages for free. (After all, he is an attorney by trade.)
So while I don’t necessarily take back the nice things I said about the man, I do question his motivation… selfless or selfish?
Rather disappointing :(

I happened to catch Glenn Beck last week talking to a man named Bob Goff – (can’t believe I hadn’t heard of him before!) author of the bestselling book Love Does: Discover a Secretly Incredible Life in an Ordinary World and Everybody, Always: Becoming Love in a World Full of Setbacks and Difficult People, which debuts this week.

What a truly amazing, engaging guy. A lawyer by trade, I think his avocation now may be simply a professional Jesus-follower. Goff literally goes around the globe looking for opportunities to “do good.” His non-profit foundation Love Does, provides aid to struggling communities in areas of conflict around the world, with a particular focus on building schools for some of the most disadvantaged kids.

Bob Goff exudes a warm, down-to-earth, authentic version of Christianity. He recently spoke at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Watch and be inspired ~

Our lives move so quickly we often prioritize being right or seeking the applause of others over pausing to love them well. But what if we spent our short time on Earth getting to know Jesus, who is immensely patient with us and moves closer even when we mess up? Even better, what if we could point others toward Jesus by demonstrating the same love and patience he has shown to us?
