Listening to Glenn Beck frequently, I’ve noticed that he seems to be alternately fascinated – or frightened – by the dynamic technology of artificial intelligence. More accurately I guess, his reaction is a combination of both those emotions. And that’s probably the most rational response one could have to this brave new sci-fi frontier. Although, the more I discover about AI, the more I lean toward frightening.
Imagine…
• Everything on the planet being micro-chipped
• All military equipment being outfitted with Artificial Intelligence
• War-bots that can “swarm,” and hunt like velociraptors
• A Robot Messiah who will solve all of mankind’s problems
• Law enforcement being able to predict crimes before they even occur
• Everything you say or do is being monitored – [Oops. If you have Alexa, Google on all your devices, or a “smart house,” you’re already under surveillance.]
Here are a couple recent podcasts from Olive Tree Ministries that feature discussions about AI with Pastor Billy Crone. He, Jan Markell and Eric Barger are talking about a coming One-world Order and the anti-Christ, both of which you’re free to scoff at – the facts about this new sci-fi technology are quite scary enough without throwing endtime theology into the mix.

Being the futurist fan that he is, one of Glenn Beck’s favorite guests is Ray Kurzweil. Keeping tabs on the rapid progress of technology, Kurzweil posits a really terrifying concept: The Singularity, a point in the not-too distant future when humans and AI will merge; the human era will be over and AI will take over ~
Kurzweil describes his law of accelerating returns which predicts an exponential increase in technologies like computers, genetics, nanotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence. Once the Singularity has been reached, Kurzweil says that machine intelligence will be infinitely more powerful than all human intelligence combined. Afterwards he predicts intelligence will radiate outward from the planet until it saturates the universe. The Singularity is also the point at which machines intelligence and humans would merge.
Discussing Armageddon and the Second Coming maybe doesn’t seem too far-fetched after all does it?

Google admits that they want to be like the mind of God and suggests we will be “godlike.” They are grabbing bundles of data from us. There is a “home invasion” going on by the world of technology. If you think you have privacy, think again! We are being monitored and this is not crazy talk. It is not sensationalism. It is not kooky conspiracy language.
