Upside-down priorities & selective outrage

Is it the president’s newly embraced affinity for his home continent? Or the fact that we recently learned the evil lion hunter donated to the Mitt Romney campaign? Who knows? The fact is, the O’Ministration has once again inserted itself into a controversy it has no business being involved with ~ U.S. Government Is Investigating Killing of Cecil the Lion.

 
The USFWS (U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service) made it official on Thursday ~

“We’re investigating the killing of #CecilTheLion. Will go where facts lead. We ask Dr. Palmer or his rep to contact USFWS (U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service) immediately,” the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service tweeted. “We share your concern about the issue surrounding #CeciltheLion and we’re working to gather the facts.”

Network news outlets have dedicated more time to covering Cecil the lion than they have to the videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of aborted baby body parts, according to a report Wednesday from conservative media watchdog group Media Research Center.

Society has a funny way of deciding when to express outrage. Millions of innocent humans (aka pregnancy tissue) are slaughtered and their fully intact body parts are sold. Crickets.
 
A single lion, which most have never heard of, gets hunted for sport. International drama.
