So much for the Republican Resurgence

Three or four months ago all indications were that the Republican Party was on track to retake the Senate and hold on to the house in November. Seems Americans weren’t exactly enamored with the direction that Obama and his merry band of Marxists were dragging the country.

Something happened this summer though, as the GOP muscled-out conservatives in primary after primary. Now, with the mid-term election drawing ever closer, it appears that the electorate is “evolving” – Election 2014 update: Nate Silver says Senate Dems are gaining ~

Throughout most of the summer, Silver’s model gave Republicans around a 6-in-10 chance of taking the Senate. But things can change; and due to developments in Colorado and North Carolina, Silver writes in his latest update, the race for control of the Senate is “pretty darn close,” with Republicans’ chances standing at 55 percent after being 64 percent as recently as last week.

Yes, apparently even reliably red Kansas is so happy with the leftist direction the country is moving that they too would rather have Democrats in charge: Poll: Greg Orman leads Pat Roberts in Kansas. A new governor too ~

In the other marquee statewide race, Democrat Paul Davis has a slight, 4-point lead over GOP Gov. Sam Brownback, 42 percent to 38 percent, with a Libertarian candidate at 7 percent

Guess everyone is thrilled with the fundamental transformation. Yippee.

Sure is a good thing the GOP establishment beat back those knuckle-dragging, Neanderthal, racist-bigot-homophobe, Tea-baggers huh?
