Anti-Semitism escalating: Is the world stuck on stupid?

Did western civilization learn nothing from the horrors of Nazi Germany? After all, the Holocaust isn’t ancient history. There are survivors still alive today. How can it be that in western nations, and Europe in particular, we’re again seeing the ugly rise of Jew hatred?!

Anti-Semitism on the march: Europe braces for violence

In just the last few weeks, as the UK Telegraph reported ~

Protesters have attacked synagogues, smashed the windows of Jewish-owned business and torched others, in scenes disturbingly reminiscent of the 1938 Kristallnacht in France. The marchers have chanted “Jews to the gas chambers”, and Jewish people have been attacked on the streets of Berlin.

Not surprisingly the Religion of Peace is behind most of these barbaric displays of intolerance. However, as is evident in Frankfurt, there remains a virulent anti-Semitic streak on the continent that somehow was never fully eradicated. And once again, the voices of sanity and restraint are too quiet, and thus far much too ineffective ~ Europe’s Jews: Unwanted, Dead or Alive.

Ben Shapiro at FrontPage Mag analyzes this troubling new trend ~

The Europeans, it seems, are becoming increasingly comfortable with old-fashioned Jew hatred in their midst, whether homegrown or imported.

There’s a reason for that. In much of Europe, bloodguilt over the Holocaust still hangs over the heads of the population. According to a 2012 Anti-Defamation League survey of European countries, 45 percent of Austrians, 35 percent of French, 43 percent of Germans, 63 percent of Hungarians and 53 percent of Polish citizens felt that it was “probably true” that “Jews still talk too much about what happened to them in the Holocaust.” Many of those who wish to move beyond the Holocaust, therefore, look for a rationale to relieve national guilt — and what better way to relieve national guilt than to label the Jewish State an aggressor? After all, if the Jews have become the villains, then why spend too much time thinking about their victimization? […]

Those who today label Israel the font of all evil use Hitler’s rationale to relieve guilt over Hitler. That’s why the same protesters in Frankfurt threatening Jews carried posters comparing Israel to the Nazis: If Jews are the new Nazis, fighting the Jews becomes an obligation.

God can not be pleased at the growing animosity toward His Chosen People ~

I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

This won’t end well…
