Getting the Gosnell Horror Story Told

As I mentioned in a recent post, the mainstream media pretty much ignores any news story that reflects negatively on the pro-choice movement. In the case of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, it’s almost criminally negligent that they failed to cover the arrest, trial and conviction of this abortion butcher of Philadelphia.

The Gosnell case was unfolding last year in the same news cycle as the Jodi Arias murder trial. We all know which one received the 24/7 news coverage. Yet which crime was more horrific?

gosnellAccording to his former clinic staff, at least 100 living babies were murdered moments after Dr. Gosnell (or in some cases, his unlicensed assistants) ripped them out of the womb. Pennsylvania law forbids abortion in most cases after 24 weeks (the end of the second trimester).
His standard method of killing the children was snipping the spinal cords, what one of his assistants described as “a virtual beheading.” Dr. Gosnell frequently used drugs to induce labor so as to deliver the babies faster and make the killing process easier. One of his assistants in testimony described “fetuses and blood flying around everywhere.”

The latest film project from independent journalists Phelim McAleer and Anne McElhinney (FrackNation, Mine Your Own Business, Not Evil Just Wrong) – along with Magdalena Segieda – will tell the whole sordid Gosnell tale. The three were originally soliciting funding through Kickstarter, a crowdfunding site that they’d used in the past. But they ran smack into a wall of progressive intolerance ~ Kickstarter Funded ‘After Tiller’ Abortionist Documentary, Rejected Gosnell Movie. (“After Tiller,” a Sundance-praised film in theaters last fall, followed the last four third-trimester abortionists in the U.S.)

According to NewsBusters ~

Right before the project was set to launch, Kickstarter wrote to McAleer and demanded that “the phrase ‘1000s of babies stabbed to death’ and similar language be modified or removed from the project.” The site reasoned that, “Our Community Guidelines outline that we encourage and enforce a culture of respect and consideration.”

But McAleer called out Kickstarter’s hypocrisy later, by citing the site’s 16 projects about stabbing, 5 projects about incest, 44 projects about rape and 28 projects with F**k or F**king in the title (as well as one project with C*** in the project description).

Yeah. So instead of the intolerant Kickstarter, McAleer, McElhinney and Segieda are using an alternative crowdfunded site: Indiegogo ~

Somehow the American media have devolved to the point where they believe their mission is not to inform (“we report; you decide”) – but to indoctrinate. They have their own (distinctly warped) worldview, and anything that challenges that narrow perspective is not allowed into the broadcasting studio.

By supporting Ann and Phelim Media we can bypass the mainstream media and their leftist agenda. We can help insure that more Americans learn the ugly truth about Gosnell and late-term abortions. Please go HERE to contribute.
