God is Definitely NOT Dead

I so rarely bother going to any first-run movies these days, the fact that I’ve been to see the same one twice since it opened last month should speak volumes about how I impressed I was with “God’s Not Dead” ~

Witnessing the marginalization, discrimination and outright hostility Christian students are facing at many of our universities these days, Alliance Defending Freedom has not only defended the religious freedoms of many young men and women across the country, they were one of the important partners behind the film’s production.

“God’s Not Dead” should especially be an eye-opener for Christian parents who optimistically believe that their kids will survive today’s college campus with their faith intact. And I highly recommend it for viewing by every church youth group in the country.

bibleThe movie packs a lot of apologetics into just under two hours. Some may leave with more questions than they had going in. But that’s a good thing if it gets viewers looking for more; searching for answers. Because for sincere seekers, God’s transcendent Truth is always available.

Go see this movie because:

• You want your Christian faith restored/strengthened/renewed
• You’re agnostic, undecided, searching
• You want to learn ways to reach out to non-believers and help overcome stumbling blocks to the Christian faith
• You want to send Hollywood a message that you’re tired of the empty, depressing trash they keep peddling (Avoid “Noah” for the same reason)
• You’re looking for something more than our shallow contemporary culture has to offer

‘God’s Not Dead’ Star Sorbo: There’s a Hollywood Blacklist ~

“God’s Not Dead” star Kevin Sorbo told John W. Kennedy of Faith, Media & Culture that there is a political blacklist in Hollywood and, although he works regularly, he knows he is on it simply for being an Independent. Simply for voting for the “the best person,” Sorbo says, “That, in itself, is enough to get me blacklisted in Hollywood.”
