Hey Congress: It’s “not yours to give!”

Aren’t you tired of these arrogant politicians (who think it’s OK to exempt themselves from Obamacare) arguing over who gets to spend our money on what? Neither party gets it!
 
This runaway government is so far from what the founders envisioned they’d never recognize it. And how is it that so few voters understand that – when it comes to tax revenue – it’s not theirs to give!
 
Here’s a great story about a 19th century self-reliant farmer who had more civic awareness, personal integrity, and plain old-fashioned common sense than probably 90% of Americans today ~

If you have the right to give at all; and as the Constitution neither defines charity nor stipulates the amount, you are at liberty to give to any and everything which you may believe, or profess to believe, is a charity and to any amount you may think proper. You will very easily perceive what a wide door this would open for fraud and corruption and favoritism, on the one hand, and for robbing the people on the other. No, Colonel, Congress has no right to give charity.
