Meanwhile, back at Fort Hood…

After Barack Obama’s news conference last Friday, one thing should now be perfectly clear: when it comes to the Manipulator-in-Chief’s acting skills, he’s much better at feigning outrage than compassion. That insincere “overwhelming grief” would be laughable if he weren’t shamelessly exploiting the horrible tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary for pure political expediency.

Check out the faux tears in this video [Via InfoWars.com] ➡ Pathetic.
Wish I could peek at the stage directions in his notes;
“blink several times… meaningful pause here… glance down sadly, count to ten… wipe “tear” away… now the other eye… “

Beyond the obvious, how do we know this is all a crock? Compare last week’s melodrama to Obama’s totally dispassionate response to the 2009 Fort Hood shooting.
Several hours after the Nov. 5th massacre (13 dead, 32 injured), the president briefly addressed the nation just prior to a previously scheduled event.
NBC Chicago characterized his remarks as; “frightening insensitivity following shooting; an awful moment for Barack Obama” ~

… instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a “shout-out” to “Dr. Joe Medicine Crow — that Congressional Medal of Honor winner.” Three minutes in, the president spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is advising him?

Anyone at home aware of the major news story of the previous hours had to have been stunned. An incident like this requires a scrapping of the early light banter. The president should apologize for the tone of his remarks, explain what has happened, express sympathy for those slain and appeal for calm and patience until all the facts are in. That’s the least that should occur.

Of course none of that happened. Fort Hood didn’t fit the Islam-is-a-religion-of-peace narrative, nor could it be exploited to advance the administration’s anti-gun agenda. And they certainly wanted to avoid the politically-incorrect um, looks like we might have a jihadists-in-the-military problem.

The fact is, had the processing center on that army base not been a gun-free zone, Major Hasan’s body count wouldn’t have been nearly so high. Chances are good he would have been a fatality himself instead of taking up space in a federal prison more than three years later, with nothing better to do than grow a beard.

And where’s the righteous indignation over Benghazi? The crocodile tears over Fast & Furious? Let’s see… senseless murders, gun-running by the feds, massive cover-ups… Oh yeah, wrong agenda.

In his performance last Friday, Obama movingly pledged “every single resource available to investigate” the Connecticut tragedy. What a guy. If we didn’t know better we might actually believe he was sincere.

If he really had an ounce of integrity he’d stop ignoring the Coalition of the Fort Hood Heroes and pledge some resources to see that justice is finally done in Texas ~

Rather than pushing for Second Amendment restrictions under the guise of caring, wouldn’t it be refreshing if Obama actually stopped playing politics and started acting presidential? Don’t hold your breath.

So now we’re supposed to have a national conversation about guns. That is, unless the conversation is about the guns the Obama administration has been handing out like party favors to Mexican drug cartels…

…If the NRA is responsible for a kid stealing his mother’s legally purchased rifle and using it to kill people, why isn’t the Obama administration responsible for illegally providing gangsters with the rifles they use to kill people?
