President Engages in Cyber-bullying

What’s next? Jack-booted thugs hauling granny off in the middle of the night for passing along triple-forwarded photo-shopped pix of the Annointed One? Just because some disgruntled Obot surfing from his parent’s basement got offended and turned her in?
Is this America – or Nazi Germany? I’m really beginning to wonder!

Seriously, this is getting downright spooky.

If you haven’t yet heard, President Obama has a new sinister looking website, one that encourages his supporters to inform on their fellow citizens. As a Washington Times editorial puts it: Big Brother Obama is watching

“The look and feel of the site conveys a sense of foreboding. It’s Web design by Orwell.”

[Note the various “Attack” types to select from.
And “Paid for by Obama for America”.]

“Attack Watch” reinforces the sense that there is something not quite right about the O Force. Building a national database of informants is the work of an obsessive, fearful and desperate team. It reflects the strident insecurity of a leader who is not used to hard criticism. It plays to the creepy authoritarian strain of leftist politics, the stratum that considers democracy a messy and useless impediment to the realization of utopia. It is a bad idea, poorly executed. If you’d like to report us for saying so, the address is www.attackwatch.com.

DITTO that last sentence!

Blessed is the nation…

Tea Party Express V wrapped up in Tampa this past Monday with the CNN Republican candidate debate.
At RenewAmerica.com, stalwart Tea Partier Lloyd Marcus provides encouragement for the future, and reflects on his experiences during this latest tour: Tea Party Express V: a spiritual thing ~

Many patriots across America emotionally told me of their frustration with the liberal media’s erroneous portrayal of the Tea Party and their burden to share the good news of conservatism with black America.

While black attendance at the rallies is growing, the majority of the audiences are still white. The liberal media attempts to use this fact to prove the Tea Party is racist. I believe it proves the majority of black voters are racist, not the Tea Party. Every black I have spoken with at Tea Parties said they were in attendance because they took an honest look at Obama, the man and his policies, rather than worshiping Obama’s skin color. This is the behavior of honorable people — true patriots.

Marcus also stresses a timeless truth; the importance of prayer, and renewing our faith in God and His providence, to restore and heal our land.

Brother and sister patriots, our extraordinary Tea Party movement is without a doubt divinely inspired. I say to you what I have said to patriots at approximately 30 rallies across America over the past two weeks: keep doing what you are doing, stay hopeful, trust God, and pray for our country. We are growing and winning. We will defeat Barack Hussein Obama and the evil emanating from his administration come November 2012.

Keep the faith!

Random Chaos or Intelligent Design?

“Biology is the study of complicated things that have the appearance of being designed.” ~ Richard Dawkins (atheist) ~

How did multi-cellular life originate?
Where are the scientific breakthroughs due to evolution?
How did the complex language of DNA “evolve”?
~~~~~~~~~~~
Those of us who attended public school in the last several decades were taught Darwin’s theory as if it was gospel. Evolution was presented to us settled science when it was anything but. Darwin himself admitted there were huge holes in his “theory”.
In truth, the more that scientists investigate our world and the life it contains, macro and micro, the more evidence they find for DESIGN.
There are many in the scientific community, not necessarily religious, who believe that the evidence for intelligent design is overwhelming. These scientists are lumped in with “crazy creationists” and the entire group is portrayed as a bunch of loons by the elite Left; any opposition to evolution is “creationism”. This tactic enables them to totally dismiss any findings that point to intelligent design.
We need to get back to the point where science began. Where evidence and experimental results actually lead to a provable theory or a law. All too frequently these days “science” starts with a conclusion and backs into it, manipulating the findings, assuming results where there are none and “tweaking” the facts as needed. Like, for instance, man-made global warming 🙄 .
(Creation-Evolution Headlines has numerous examples of pseudo-science practice and techniques.)
And we definitely need to start asking some penetrating questions about the theory of evolution.
Which is why I was so encouraged to find a new campaign launched by Creation Ministries International, aimed at helping us challenge the existing Darwin Dogma: “Question evolution! – A grass-roots movement to challenge the anti-Christian dogma of evolution”.
In addition to t-shirts, bumper stickers and other gear, they’ve created a pamphlet that can either be ordered in bulk, or printed directly from their website. This brochure poses 15 insightful questions about evolution that can provide a great way to open a dialogue with someone who’s simply absorbed the dogma without ever questioning the basis for the theory.
By simply sharing a tract or wearing a shirt, cap or badge, others will visit creation.com and find out the truth, empowering them to reject the lie that “everything made itself without God”. Christ as our Creator and Redeemer sets people free!
Get involved in this grass-roots revolt against the force-feeding of everyone with evolutionary ‘there-is-no-need-for-God’ thinking.
First Couple’s Classless Act
I really can’t take any more from these two boorish ingrates.
While most of us spent September 11th with a remembering tear in our eyes, the Obama’s were apparently only moved to a state of annoyed boredom.
We get a glimpse of their true colors in a video from Sunday. See if you can read the 1st “Lady’s” lips in this short clip:
[Click on the picture or the link below]
Lots of guesses floating around out there on exactly what she said, but the most frequent are:
“All this just for a flag” [Washington Times article]
“All this for a damned flag”
“All this for a f*****g flag”
– or – my favorite, from an astute Freeper; “I’m a loathsome hag”
Whichever it was – their expressions alone are just appalling. If you had this much contempt for the values and traditions our your own country, what would motivate you to run for president… other than an intention to destroy those very things?
Exactly. And considering the company they’ve kept, what else can we expect?
A recent article at the American Spectator reveals how the Obamas’ bankrupt worldview is nothing new; and it’s actually pretty closely aligned with old Chicago pals Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn: They’re All in This Together.
It’s a long read, but well worth it if you want to better understand where these disgruntled wretches are coming from. These people are not up to anything good.
Since Barry and Evita Michelle are clearly incapable of appreciating the history and values of our exceptional nation, as a parting gift in 2013, let’s give them one-way tickets out of America to a totalitarian utopia like say – Cuba, or even better – North Korea.
GOP Grabs Wiener’s Old Seat!
There were 2 special congressional elections held yesterday, Sept.13th, in New York and Nevada and…
Republicans won both!
In Nevada, Republican Mark Amodei, a former state GOP chairman and state senator, had been predicted to win easily. But New York’s 9th District result (Anthony Wiener’s former district) was a BIG upset. The victory is especially sweet because Democrats outnumber Republicans there 3 to 1. They haven’t elected a Republican since 1920. Wow!
The 9th District race (Queens and Brooklyn) was between Democrat David Weprin, a NY state lawmaker, and Republican Bob Turner, a a fiscal conservative and a former cable TV executive who’s never held elected office.
A referendum on the Prez? Could be…
“This is a chance for the voters to stand up and say, ‘Mr. Obama, we’re not going to take it,’ ” Turner said. “And this is one way they will clearly understand.”
Weprin had been endorsed by the New York Times – of course…
partly because the paper said he “would push for higher taxes for the wealthy rather than cut programs that serve the working and middle classes.”
Could that old class warfare/entitlement schtick finally be wearing thin?
There was also concern from the districts’ Jewish voters on Obama’s lackluster approach to Israel:
Veteran Brooklyn state Assemblyman Dov Hikind, a conservative Democrat and an Orthodox Jew who backed Turner, said in recorded phone calls to voters, “President Obama needs to hear from us. He needs to get the message that Jewish Democrats have had it with how he’s treating Israel.”
Are the voters coming to their senses at last? “Hope” springs eternal!
The Bumbling, Bloated, Bureaucracy of the TSA
Huge cost overruns; irrational, ineffective screening policies; allegations and arrests for theft and smuggling (not to mention aiding and abetting criminals – like the Buffalo, NY agent who confessed to helping a drug dealer sneak through security), and just plain incompetence:
In 2006, screeners at Los Angeles and Chicago O’Hare airports failed to find more than 60% of fake explosives during checkpoint security tests.
Welcome to the Transportation Security Administration – poster child for everything that’s wrong with big, fat, intrusive government.
When even Rep. John Mica (R-FL), author of the legislation that created the agency, says “the whole thing is a complete fiasco” – you know we’ve got a problem. Mica pulled no punches in a recent interview with HUMAN EVENTS: TSA Creator Says Dismantle, Privatize the Agency.
So could the TSA be a much bigger disaster? Well, yes.
Earlier this summer, President Obama, always on the look-out for ways to make a bad situation worse, decided that TSA employees should be given collective bargaining – at least on a limited basis.
Hey – what a great idea! Let’s make sure the TSA has the ability to totally shut down air travel in America if union demands aren’t met.
Jena McNeill at the Foundry wrote about the administration’s obvious political pandering:
Efforts to placate labor unions shouldn’t form the basis of security policy…
…(As Rep. Mica) stated, “TSA needs to get out of the personnel business and get in the security business.”
Back in June, Rep. Mica’s House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee issued a report that strongly recommended privatizing the TSA.
Until January of this year, airports had the opportunity to do just that on an individual basis; the Screening Partnership Program (SPP) gave them the ability to opt of using federal screeners. But, caving to political pressure (heavy lobbying from the public sector unions), the TSA stopped offering that option, a move that will make our skies less safe as McNeill argued at the time:
This action makes no sense. Private security screeners, under the oversight of TSA, are a perfectly legitimate and secure method for handling the screening of airline passengers. This move—as well as recent changes in the primary screening process, including the extensive deployment of full-body scanners (and/or physical pat-downs), at U.S. airports—raises serious concerns about the Administration’s aviation security strategy…
…Politics has no place in the nation’s security policy. If airports want the flexibility to improve their customer service or have additional reasons why they want to privatize in a manner that maintains security, the government should encourage this effort.
Privatization is the only sensible solution at this point, both fiscally and from a national security standpoint.
Rep. Mica’s report cited several clear benefits of privatization:
• Lower cost to taxpayers – about 40% less per passenger! ($2.42 vs. $4.22)
• More efficient – by 65%!
• Better morale and more flexibility = better customer service
In fact, the ONLY “benefit” to continuing the status quo at the TSA is more votes for the Democrats. What a surprise.
Meanwhile, in London…
The Religion of Peace commemorates 9-11 with the traditional U.S. flag-burning ceremony:
About 100 Muslim demonstrators burned an American flag outside the U.S. embassy in London Sunday during a moment of silence to mark the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks. [The Blaze]
And elsewhere in the world, the Islamic infection continues to spread unabated, as Bare Naked Islam reports:
MUSLIM PERSECUTION OF CHRISTIANS just for the month of August 2011
Somehow I keep recalling that scene from the movie “Independence Day” where the president (played by Bill Pullman) asks one of the aliens what they want us to do, and the creature just says “DIE!”…
Freeing the Free Market
Looks like Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) was making very productive use of his time during Congress’s summer break. Unlike the Democrats’ Tax, Borrow & SPEND generic “plan” to address any and all problems facing the nation, Cantor has actually come up with a list of specific actions that the House will be undertaking to cut the chains of excessive federal regulation and free up the economy –
By pursuing a steady repeal of job-destroying regulations, we can help lift the cloud of uncertainty hanging over small and large employers alike, empowering them to hire more workers…
The following is a list of the 10 most harmful job-destroying regulations that our committee chairmen have identified, as well as a selective calendar for their repeal*. These regulations are reflective of the types of costly bureaucratic handcuffs that Washington has imposed upon business people who want to create jobs.
Some of these existing rules and regulations are outrageous. It’s like Obama appointed a Department of Devious Gnomes, working out of a cave somewhere, to come up with the most creative ways to kill the economy.
Here are the 10 that Cantor’s targeting for repeal or amendment:
NLRB’s Boeing Ruling (*Week of September 12):
On April 20, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued a complaint against The Boeing Company for the alleged transfer of an assembly line from Washington to South Carolina. Yet, not one union employee at Boeing’s Puget Sound facility has lost his or her job as a result of the proposed South Carolina plant. Still, the NLRB is pursuing a “restoration order” against Boeing that would cost South Carolina thousands of jobs and deter future investment in the United States. H.R. 2587, the Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act, sponsored by Rep. Tim Scott (SC), would take the common sense step of preventing the NLRB from restricting where an employer can create jobs in the United States.
Utility MACT and CSAPR (*Week of September 19):
The Administration’s new maximum achievable control technology (MACT) standards and cross-state air pollution rule (CSAPR) for utility plants will affect electricity prices for nearly all American consumers. In total, 1,000 power plants are expected to be affected. The result for middle class Americans? Annual electricity bill increases in many parts of the country of anywhere from 12 to 24 percent. H.R. 2401, the Transparency in Regulatory Analysis of Impacts on the Nation (TRAIN) Act, sponsored by Rep. John Sullivan (OK), would require a cumulative economic analysis for specific EPA rules, and specifically delay the final date for both the utility MACT and CSAPR rules until the full impact of the Obama Administration’s regulatory agenda has been studied.
Boiler MACT (*Week of October 3):
From hospitals to factories to colleges, thousands of major American employers use boilers that will be impacted by the EPA’s new “boiler MACT” rules. These new stringent rules will impose billions of dollars in capital and compliance costs, increase the cost of many goods and services, and put over 200,000 jobs at risk. The American forest and paper industry, for example, will see an additional burden of at least $5-7 billion. H.R. 2250, the EPA Regulatory Relief Act, sponsored by Rep. Morgan Griffith (VA), would provide a legislative stay of four interrelated rules issued by the EPA in March of this year. The legislation would also provide the EPA with at least 15 months to re-propose and finalize new, achievable rules that do not destroy jobs, and provide employers with an extended compliance period.
Cement MACT (*Week of October 3):
The “cement MACT” and two related rules are expected to affect approximately 100 cement plants in America, setting exceedingly stringent requirements that will be cost-prohibitive or technically infeasible to achieve. Increased costs and regulatory uncertainty for the American cement industry—the foundation of nearly all infrastructure projects—are likely to offshore thousands of American jobs. Ragland, Alabama, for example, recently saw the suspension of a $350 million cement production facility, putting 1,500 construction jobs on hold and additional permanent and high-paying plant operation jobs in limbo. H.R. 2681, the Cement Sector Regulatory Relief Act, sponsored by Rep. John Sullivan (OK), would provide a legislative stay of these three rules and provide EPA with at least 15 months to re-propose and finalize new, achievable rules that do not destroy jobs, and provide employers with an extended compliance period.
Coal Ash (*October/November):
These anti-infrastructure regulations, commonly referred to as the “coal ash” rules, will cost hundreds of billions of dollars, affecting everything from concrete production to building products like wall board. The result is an estimated loss of well over 100,000 jobs. H.R. 2273, the Coals Residuals Reuse and Management Act, sponsored by Rep. David McKinley (WV), would create an enforceable minimum standard for the regulation of coal ash by the states, allowing their use in a safe manner that protects jobs.
Grandfathered Health Plans (*November/December):
We all remember when President Obama promised Americans that if they liked their health care plan they could keep it. Now, the Obama Administration has been issuing further restrictions against those previously protected plans. The result, by the Administration’s own estimates, will be a loss of 49 to 80 percent of small employer plans, 34 to 64 percent of large employer plans, and 40 to 67 percent of individual insurance plans. Meanwhile, employers losing their grandfathered status will face steep penalties, increasing their costs and negatively affecting wages and job growth. The Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, and Education and Workforce committees will soon be working on legislation to repeal these ObamaCare restrictions.
Ozone Rule (*Winter):
This effective ban or restriction on construction and industrial growth for much of America is possibly the most harmful of all the currently anticipated Obama Administration regulations. Consequences would reach far across the U.S. economy, resulting in an estimated cost of $1 trillion or more over a decade and millions of jobs. Unlike her predecessors, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson is pushing for a premature readjustment of the current ozone standards, dramatically increasing the number of “nonattainment” areas. The new readjustment rule is expected early this fall and I expect the Energy and Commerce Committee to act swiftly to prevent its implementation, in order to protect American jobs.
Farm Dust (*Winter):
The EPA is expected to issue revised standards for particulate matter (PM) in the near future. Any downward revision to PM standards will significantly impact economic growth and jobs for businesses and people throughout rural America that create dust, like the farmer in Atkinson, Illinois, who raised his concerns with the President at a town hall earlier this month. While the President may have sent him on a bureaucratic wild goose chase, the House will act promptly on H.R. 1633, the Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act, sponsored by Rep. Kristi Noem (SD). H.R. 1633 would protect American farmers and jobs by establishing a one year prohibition against revising any national ambient air quality standard applicable to coarse PM and limiting federal regulation of dust where it is already regulated under state and local laws.
Here’s Rock Katschnig, a farmer from Prophetstown, IL, and
one of the job creators that Speaker Boehner invited
to the President’s Sept. 8th address. He’s the guy who
tried to appeal to Obama at a townhall in Illinois last month:
“Please don’t challenge us with more rules and regulations
from Washington D.C. that hinder us.”
Greenhouse Gas (*Winter):
The EPA’s upcoming greenhouse gas new source performance standards (NSPS) will affect new and existing oil, natural gas, and coal-fired power plants, as well as oil refineries, nationwide. While the impact on the economy and jobs are likely to be severe, the rules are quickly moving forward, once again revealing the Administration’s disregard for the consequences of their policies on our jobs crisis. Again, I expect Chairman Upton and the Energy and Commerce Committee to move swiftly in the coming months to protect American jobs and consumers.
NLRB’s Ambush Elections (*Winter):
This summer, the NLRB issued a notice of proposed rulemaking that could significantly alter current union representation election procedures, giving both employers and employees little time to react to union formations in the future. The result will increase labor costs and uncertainty for nearly all private employers in the U.S. The House will soon consider legislation that will bring common sense to union organizing procedures to protect the interests of both employers and their workers.
Unbelievable huh? “Farm Dust”?!
Many of us have been aware of most of this oppressive regulation, but seeing it itemized all at once like this makes you realize the extent of the damage that this administration has and is doing to our country. All the while, hypocritically pretending they’re trying to fix things.
OMG! [Obama Must Go!]
But it’s definitely encouraging to see that Cantor, Boehner and others are battling back and working to free the free market for some real job growth.
You might want to contact them to convey your appreciation, and encourage them in their efforts (I know they get enough of our criticism when they do the wrong thing) ~
Rep. Eric Cantor
Speaker John Boehner
A REAL American President
George W. Bush speaking at the Flight 93 Memorial on 9-10-11…awesome:
[I’m really tempted to make some sarcastic comments about the stunning contrast in character between Pres. Bush and the current occupant of the White House, but considering the solemnity of the occasion, I’m going to restrain myself.]
Dear Lord, please heal our land ~ and bless America again.
Remembering the 9-11 Canine Heroes
Amidst the shock and sorrow, do you remember the hard-working rescue dogs at Ground Zero in the days following 9-11?
Dutch photographer Charlotte Dumas wanted to make sure that the tireless efforts of those nearly 100 canines were not forgotten. She traveled across the U.S. photographing the remaining dogs (sadly, only 15 were still alive a decade later)
for her new book: “Retrieved”. What a moving way to commemorate these furry heroes.
UK Mail Online has the full story and a bunch of pictures ~ The 9/11 rescue dogs: Portraits of the last surviving animals who scoured Ground Zero one decade on
