Can we defund Planned Parenthood yet?

You gotta hand it to Planned Parenthood – they’re constantly coming up with newer, more “creative” ways to attract new clientele. American society hasn’t fallen far enough, fast enough yet, so they’re attempting to corrupt our kids at ever younger ages. The world’s number one abortion provider is now pushing their “sex education” propaganda in the public schools, subverting parental influence and corrupting innocent young children.
 
The video below is from Stop Planned Parenthood, part of the American Life League. For those of us who aren’t as crass and jaded as the mainstream culture, it’s really offensive. But it’s critical that as many people as possible realize just what a destructive influence this organization represents ~
 

“Even people who thought they knew better were shocked by how Planned Parenthood promotes sex to youngsters,” said Paul Rondeau, executive director at American Life League. “Remember when activists alleged that just the fact that Joe Camel was a cartoon character implied kids should smoke, so he was banned? Planned Parenthood cartoons directly tell children to have sex and show them how. These cartoons for ten-year-olds and teens are so sexually explicit that YouTube restricted our video about them to adult viewing only.”
 
“Hooking Kids on Sex” shows that Planned Parenthood uses pornographic illustrations, contests, workshops, and even cartoons to encourage sexual activity at very early ages when sexual addiction can be a real concern. The report also documents “no pants sex parties” that are sponsored by Planned Parenthood and that offer free sex kits and free sex toys to college students.

From using Hollywood celebrity spokeswomen to promote their “services,” to encouraging college students to report on “where you did it” and rate the experience, to encouraging teenagers to “Tell a Friend” and get free movie tickets and a chance to win an I-Pod for “referrals,” Planned Parenthood is very deliberately making a sick society sicker. And they’re still getting over $300 million in taxpayer dollars every year to aid and abet their pathological activities.
 
LifeNews.com sums up the group’s deceitful advertising nicely:

Planned Parenthood thrives on and promotes the unhealthy sexual choices our society makes. It’s a twofer for them. They pull in half a billion taxpayer dollars, annually, to treat the behavior-induced infections (1 in 4 teenaged girls has an STD) and make hundreds of millions by exterminating the life that naturally results from the sexual “liberation” they tout.

Last year we heard about the corruption exposed in various Planned Parenthood facilities around the country. Earlier this year, the organization strong-armed the Susan G. Komen Foundation into continuing their financial support. And now we find Planned Parenthood becoming ever-more aggressive in their “recruiting” tactics.
It’s way past time to cut off all public funds to this fraudulent “women’s health” organization!

Obama Hits a New Low

Barack Obama’s twitter account sent out a message late tonight urging his supporters to put pressure on the Charles and David Koch–the wealthy libertarian business–to disclose the list of contributors to Americans for Prosperity, their main vehicle for political activism.
 
Americans for Prosperity is like many political groups on left and right, able to accept private and anonymous donations. They aren’t doing anything illegal, but for political reasons the Obama’s team, and now Obama himself are pressuring them to do something they aren’t obligated to do.
 
It’s the latest flare-up between Team Obama and the Koch’s in an escalating public relations war.
 
Philip Ellender, president of government & public affairs for Koch industries, has been going back and forth with Obama’s campaign manager in open letters over the past week.
 
Last week, Ellender released an letter responding to Koch criticism from the Obama campaign. It read in part:
 

“It is an abuse of the President’s position and does a disservice to our nation for the President and his campaign to criticize private citizens simply for the act of engaging in their constitutional right of free speech. The implication in that sort of attack is obvious: dare to criticize the President’s policies and you will be singled out and personally maligned by the President and his campaign in an effort to chill free speech and squelch dissent.”

 
But tonight’s tweet, sent out to over 12 million “followers” really changes the complexion of things. There aren’t exactly rules for this sort of politics, but it does seem odd to have the nation’s chief executive exerting this kind of pressure on law-abiding (if very wealthy) citizens who disagree with him.

 

“Odd?” This man is a total disgrace to the office of POTUS. And downright Machiavellian.

PA Judge: All zombies aren’t created equal

If you’re out for Halloween in Mechanicsburg, PA next year – dressed as “Zombie Muhammad” – and a crazed Muslim assaults you… don’t expect justice from Judge Mark Martin. Instead you’ll get a lecture on the sensitivities of the Muslim culture:

“They are so immersed in it,” he said. “And what you’ve done is you’ve completely trashed their essence, their being. 😯 They find it very, very, very offensive. I’m a Muslim. I find it offensive.”
 
But you have that right, but you’re way outside your boundaries or first amendment rights. This is what, and I said I spent about 7 and a half years living in other countries…In many Arabic speaking countries something like this is definitely against the law there. In their society in fact it can be punishable by death and it frequently is in their society.”

 

Last October, the “Parading Atheists of Central Pennsylvania” were
participating in a Halloween parade. One of the members was dressed
as “Zombie Pope” and another as “Zombie Muhammad.”
Guess which one wasn’t attacked?

 
And you thought this was still America? This perversion of equal protection under the law is a lot scarier than zombies – or even atheists!

Yet Another Green “Fail?”

1… 2… 3…. FLUSH!
Almost 400 million more in federal and state subsidies down the hopper.
 
A123 Systems, a Massachusetts-based manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries and energy storage systems, looks to be the next green tech business to tank. The company, which also has locations in Michigan and Missouri as well as in Germany, China and Korea, and employs more than 2,000 people worldwide, will likely need more corporate welfare if it’s going to survive.
 
Touted by the previous MI administration (Granholm) as a “Recovery Act success story,” A123 was optimistically predicted to eventually create 3000 new jobs. In the past nine months, after receiving $390 million in federal and state subsidies, the company has laid off 125 employees and had a net loss of $172 million through the first three quarters of 2011. Sounds more like a “fail story” to me.
 
It was bound to happen. Forbes analyzed the numbers, and reported on the company’s outlook back in November. Their conclusion:

As stated above A123, has received substantial funding from government grants in order to provide liquidity for expansion and to generate future revenue. Should AONE [Nasdaq] continue to rely on government related grants in order to maintain adequate liquidity, this could lead to major problems down the road in relation to the company’s ability to continue operations. Should government grants, for whatever reason, be discontinued, A123 will need to solely rely on capital markets in the form of equity or debt to survive – a dangerous proposition considering the company’s inability to execute a healthy/effective business plan.
 
Making matters worse, the company’s revenue comes from a limited number of sources. This is an area of concern, as an immature company can be substantially affected by a loss of a single customer.
 
A123 receives a rating of Poor. While A123 is a young company, they are having trouble developing a sustainable financial position. Thus far, all growth and “success” of the company can be attributed to management’s ability to access capital funds from the government and capital markets.

 
In the meantime, A123’s top execs are making sure they get theirs. As Michigan Capitol Confidential reports, just this month ~

… A123’s Compensation Committee approved a $30,000 raise for CFO David Prystash just days after Fisker Automotive (the company that was to be the main purchaser of its batteries) announced the U.S. Energy Department had cut off what was left of its $528.7 million loan it had previously received.
 
Prystash wasn’t the only executive to see a big raise this month. Robert Johnson, vice president of the energy solutions group, got a 20.7 percent pay increase going from $331,250 to $400,000, while Jason Forcier, vice president of the automotive solutions group, saw his pay increase from $331,250 to $350,000. Prystash’s raise was 8.5 percent, going from $350,000 to $380,000…
 
… “It looks highly suspicious,” said Paul Chesser, associate fellow for the National Legal & Policy Center. “It looks like they are trying to pad their top people’s wallets in case something really bad happens.”

 
Hey, what are you gonna do? You’re laying off employees, the company’s tanking… give yourself a raise! These guys would make great politicians.
 
Speaking of which, last summer Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow was still pushing for $2 billion more public funds to flush down the battery research black hole. From Doug Powers at Michelle Malkin’s blog:

Great idea! If taxpayers pump money in faster than supported companies lose it, they’ll be able to avoid layoffs, hire extra workers, and Granholm, Stabenow and the Obama administration can declare the project a rousing success — again. That way it doesn’t matter if there’s actual consumer demand for the product. It’s econ-101.

 
This is yet another reason to retire our magnanimous Senator this fall, in favor of Clark Durant. Michelle Malkin agrees.

Don’t Tread On Me

The bright yellow flag emblazoned with a coiled snake and “DON’T TREAD ON ME” has come to be synonymous with the Tea Party. It was introduced 236 years ago, on February 27, 1776, flown aboard the flagship of the newly established Continental Navy. The “Gadsden” flag as it’s come to be known, was presented by Christopher Gadsden of South Carolina, leader of the Sons of Liberty in that state.
 
The rattlesnake was a favorite symbol during the Revolutionary War. For Benjamin Franklin, the image was particularly appropriate to the patriots’ cause. It’s generally accepted that Franklin was “An American Guesser” writing in the “Pennsylvania Journal” ~

The Rattle-Snake is found in no other quarter of the world besides America…
… its eye excelled in brightness that of any other animal, and that she has no eyelids. She may therefore be esteemed an emblem of vigilance. She never begins an attack, nor, when once engaged, ever surrenders: She is therefore an emblem of magnanimity and true courage…

Who ya gonna call? “Mosquebusters!”

Our media elites, for whom “tolerance” is the ultimate virtue, would have us believe the total nonsense that all cultures and worldviews are equally legitimate. Thus, they’re simply incapable of condemning an ideology that justifies murder in response to book-burning. They’re so fearful of being labled “judgemental” that they’re completely lost the ability to discern good from evil. If Western Civilization is going to survive into the next century it will be in spite of their influence, not because of it.
 
No. If the West is to survive, what we desperately need more of is common sense – and organizations like “Mosquebusters” – dedicated to combating creeping Islamification. From last Friday in the Blaze: Meet the “Mosquebusters”: British Legal Team Out to Stop Islamic Influence in its Tracks.
 

 
The group’s official name is the Law And Freedom Foundation and they’re dedicated to the defense of the historical rule of law, and the freedoms guaranteed under that law, unique to Western Civilization. Rather than taking to the streets, as some of the nationalist-type groups in Europe have done, they’re using Britain’s legal system to preserve traditional values. Their assessment of the Muslim menace is perceptive and straightforward:

Law becomes tyrannical without freedom, and freedom becomes predatory without law: the brutes reign, and everyone gets poorer. A free society under law will always be more prosperous and peaceful.
 
There are three threats to the survival of state authority in Britain and Europe:
 
1) Economic breakdown. If the state goes bankrupt, the machinery of law disappears. This is the immediate problem.
 
2) Welfare dependence and collapse. This underlies all other problems.
 
3) Ethnic division, particularly between Islamic and non-Islamic society, and the violence at the heart of Islamic doctrine. This is the most visible problem, and the one that people will blame.
 
The political and intellectual elites are probably not going to save law or freedom. So we need to take what small action we can to preserve them ourselves.

If, according to the president, we need to apologize to Muslims because we must accept that they have such an innate, extraordinary ardor for their religion that barbaric reactions to trivial slights are inevitable, then they should not be invited to enter a civilized country. This administration is directly responsible for pumping up prices by cancelling leases on federal lands in Utah and off the Virginia coast and suspending or delaying them in other states, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico where permits have slowed to a crawl. And then Obama audaciously takes credit for higher oil production – when in reality the increase is almost exclusively coming from private lands.
 
Judging by the president’s duplicitous speech in Florida yesterday, we can only expect more of the same. Especially if – God forbid – he’s re-elected.
As Doug Powers at Michelle Malkin puts it;

…from what I’ve read (of the speech) so far it boiled down to two things: We can’t drill our way to lower gas prices, and if we try to kick-start enough Solyndras eventually some of them might get off the ground before the country goes bankrupt.

Back-to-back stories at Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch yesterday illustrate the irreconcilable cultural differences between the West and the Religion of Peace – otherwise known as Islam.
 
First we have the ongoing travesty in Iran where Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, a husband, and the father of two young boys, has been imprisoned on charges of apostasy for well over 2 years now. Just this week he’s been sentenced for his “crime.” The penalty for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity? Death.
 
Fox News reported on the story:

Supporters fear Youcef Nadarkhani, a 34-year-old father of two who was arrested over two years ago on charges of apostasy, may now be executed at any time without prior warning, as death sentences in Iran may be carried out immediately or dragged out for years.
It is unclear whether Nadarkhani can appeal the execution order.

 
The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) has launched a worldwide campaign to raise awareness of Pastor Nadarkhani’s plight – HERE.
 
I guess we shouldn’t be too shocked at this news. After all, Iran is only following the teaching of the Prophet: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him” (Bukhari 9.84.57). In fact, all the schools of Islamic law still teach that death is the proper penalty for apostates.
 

Actually, for radical Muslims, the death penalty is pretty much a multi-purpose sentence. Their disregard for the value of individual human lives is appalling. There are the ever-popular “honor killings,” prescribed for those who “insult Islam.”
They also tend to dole out death for the “crime” of Koran desecration. Incited by the Taliban, Islamists are still rioting in Afghanistan over the burning of copies of the Koran at a US-run military base. Dozens have been injured and several killed – including 2 U.S. troops – since protests began three days ago. From Breitbart News Alerts:

Anti-American protests erupted in Afghanistan for a third straight day on Thursday to protest against the burning of copies of the Koran at a US-run military base, witnesses said.
 
More than 600 people chanting “Death to America” marched in the Laghman provincial capital of Mihtarlam east of Kabul, while about 300 students took to the streets in the eastern city of Jalalabad, AFP journalists said.

 

 

On Wednesday at least nine (11 at last count) demonstrators were shot dead and dozens wounded in violent protests across the war-torn country, where the United States heads a 130,000 foreign military coalition trying to put down a Taliban insurgency.
 
US officials have apologized repeatedly for the burning of the Korans, which were sent to an incinerator pit at the Bagram airbase north of Kabul.
 
Afghanistan is a deeply religious country where slights against Islam have frequently provoked violent protests and Afghans were incensed that any Western troops could be so insensitive, 10 years after the 2001 US-led invasion.
 
US officials speaking on condition of anonymity told AFP the military removed Korans from the prison at Bagram because inmates were suspected of using the holy book to pass messages to each other.

Heiban Bible College in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan was bombed
on February 1st. Eight bombs were dropped on that Wednesday afternoon.
Two landed in the compound and destroyed two buildings.
Since early August, at least four churches built by Samaritan’s Purse
have been destroyed by bombing or burning.

Reality check: The debt was $10.626 trillion on the day Mr. Obama took office. The latest calculation from Treasury shows the debt has now hit $14.639 trillion. It’s the most rapid increase in the debt under any U.S. president.
 
The Obama administration increases the debt by more than $48,000 per second!

Forgetting for a moment that the UNtruth Team is an insult to the intelligence of average Americans (and an insidious attack on “truth” itself), anyone with internet access can easily debunk the myths being pushed by the Ministry of Truth.
For the time-crunched, Michael Fell at Right Wing News has complied a handy list of the administration’s real “accomplishments.” He calls the record what it is: Tyranny.
Here’s a small sampling:
 

• He has violated the individual liberties of all our people by imposing forced participation in a government healthcare regulatory system without our consent.
 
• He has violated American bankruptcy laws by willfully denying secured bond holders first payment, in favor of unsecured political supporters.
 
• He has ignored the Constitutional separation of power by appointing “czars” to oversee matters that are intended to be handled by the legislative branch of the government.
 
• He is grossly accelerating and increasing the amount of America’s debt through passage of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, which had negligible effect on unemployment, sent billions of dollars overseas and wasted billions domestically bailing out States practicing irresponsible budgetary policies.
 
• He is putting America and America’s allies at greater risk through cancellation of missile defense systems.

Obama already has his Propaganda Posse in the mainstream media. The creation of a deceptively-named “Truth Team” must mean he and his cronies are seriously worried about the real truth getting out before the election.
