The Consequences of Electing Socialists
Just ten days since the reelection of the worst U.S. president ever and the economic fall-out is accelerating. Here are just the latest headlines:
◊ THE COST OF EATING AT LOCAL DENNY’S RESTAURANTS JUST GOT MORE EXPENSIVE FOR MANY FLORIDIANS:
Florida restaurateur to impose 5 percent surcharge for Obamacare ~
“People are trying to find ways to avoid the penalties and to avoid having to pay for Obamacare,” John Metz (owner of 40 Denny’s locations and five Hurricane Grill & Wings franchises) told FoxNews.com. “Everyone’s looking for a way to not have to provide insurance for their employees. It’s essentially a huge tax on all us business people.”
To further offset the costs, Metz, who oversees roughly 1,200 employees, said he will also slash most of their hours to fewer than 30 per week. That change will be announced to employees next month, he said.

◊ REPERCUSSIONS OF OBAMACARE’S MEDICAL DEVICE EXCISE TAX:

Stryker Corp. layoff plans strike chords of political and economic concern ~
If Stryker does an across-the-board cut of its 2,250-person Kalamazoo-area (MI) workforce, about 112 local workers would lose their jobs. About 1,002 of its worldwide workforce would be cut.
Not sure why the drones can never seem to figure out that any tax increases always result in unavoidable collateral damage ~
Charlie Owens, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business, said local restaurants, delicatessens, markets, gas stations, barber shops and other small retailers will be affected by the potential loss of Stryker employees. He called on Michigan’s congressional delegation to reconsider the law before it causes more damage.
Ironically, Jon Stryker, corporate heir, was one of the top five donors to the Obama campaign ~
Stryker’s corporation is part of an industry that has been a big loser at the hands of Obamacare. Having refused to get on board with the White House and the Senate Finance Committee when the law was being crafted in 2009, the medical device industry was punished with an excise tax of 2.3% of their revenues, regardless of whether they make a profit.

Yesterday, during a phone call with campaign donors, Mitt Romney opined on the key to Barack Obama’s reelection; essentially, irresistible free stuff ~
What the president, president’s campaign did, was focus on certain members of his base coalition, give them extraordinary financial gifts from the government, and then work very aggressively to turn them out to vote.
With regards to the young people, for instance, a forgiveness of college loan interest, was a big gift.
Free contraceptives were very big with young college-aged women.
And then, finally, Obamacare also made a difference for them, because as you know, anybody now 26 years of age and younger was now going to be part of their parents’ plan, and that was a big gift to young people. They turned out in large numbers, a larger share in this election even than in 2008.
You can imagine for somebody making $25,000 or $30,000 or $35,000 a year, being told you’re now going to get free health care, particularly if you don’t have it, getting free health care worth, what, $10,000 per family, in perpetuity, I mean, this is huge.
Likewise with Hispanic voters, free health care was a big plus. But in addition with regards to Hispanic voters, the amnesty for children of illegals, the so-called Dream Act kids, was a huge plus for that voting group.
Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, speaking at the Republican Governors Association conference in Las Vegas, took exception to Romney’s assessment:
“I absolutely reject that notion,” Jindal, who was a surrogate for Romney’s campaign, said at the Republican Governors Association conference in Las Vegas. “I think that’s absolutely wrong.
…in order for the GOP to be “competitive,it has to “go after 100 percent of the votes, not 53 percent. We need to go after every single vote.
How? By buying votes?
Not sure who Bob’s surveyed lately. Romney’s remarks seem to ring awfully true to me.
A teacher in Rockhill, SC allegedly posted this comment on Facebook after the election (an ill-advised action considering her position as an educator – she’s currently facing “investigation” – but that doesn’t make her remarks any less relevant):
“Congrats Obama. As one of my students sang down the hallway, ‘We get to keep our food stamps’ … which I pay for because they can’t budget their money … and really, neither can you.”
Message to Bobby, and all other like-minded GOP members: Obama has pushed us past the tipping point; right now there are more takers than makers.
And we need to stop buying into the Left’s class warfare. Liberty and prosperity are concepts that should appeal to all demographics. Don’t pander – educate!

Isn’t it odd that a majority of Americans are suddenly hearing the term fiscal cliff for the first time – just barely a week after the election? Sadly though, many are still clueless about the implications:
Even for those who kind of “get it,” it’s rather like the asteroid in the movie Armageddon – as if this massive financial crisis suddenly appeared overnight with absolutely no warning. Like we didn’t hit the 16 trillion debt mark some seven weeks ago; driven to the brink by profligate spending on both sides of the political aisle.
But hey, if the network news ignores it, it’s just not happening.
And of course, fed nothing but pablum laced with lies by the Leftists in D.C. and the media, all most of the ignorant can do, in the face of our looming economic disaster, is regurgitate the same tired line: “it’s all Bush’s fault.”
Unable to understand free market economics, or to learn from the mistakes of others, soon we’ll be following the entitled masses across the Atlantic onto the dustheap of history: Anti-austerity protests across Europe turn violent.
The Europeans opted for big bloated nanny governments years ago – and now the nanny is broke.

Polling Place Shenanigans – Expanded Version

Apparently all that’s piquing the curiosity of the mainstream media these days are the extramarital activities of a couple philandering generals. (Considering how Commander-in-Chief Clinton’s indiscretions were “private,” don’t you just love the feigned puritanical disapproval?) Their single-minded focus is especially egregious because it’s just trumped-up yellow journalism to distract from the tragedy of Benghazi.
Many of us are still awfully curious about the results of last week’s election. We’re still trying to figure out so how many misread the tea leaves.
Recall how, in the lead-up to last Tuesday, we were hearing all kinds of good news for Republicans:
“No incumbent has ever been reelected with such low approval numbers,” “the polls are over-sampling Democrats,” “major newspapers who endorsed Obama in ’08 have switched to Romney this time.”
Anecdotally, we heard from people all over the country about the lack of Obama signs, and friends and acquaintances who “won’t make that mistake again.”
It was obvious to anyone paying attention that, even with the media frantically ignoring the Benghazi debacle, the momentum was on the side of the Republicans. Yet somehow, inexplicably, we all missed the signs of Obama voter enthusiasm…
Was anyone reporting that Democrats were so pumped up to reelect the “Food Stamp” president that they’d show up at the polls in massive numbers – in some cases over 100%?!
And yet, unbelievably, they did – especially in those all important “swing states” ~
Over 99% of voters went for Obama in some Philadelphia wards: Dems Won “Astronomically” in Philly Locations where Inspectors were Removed.
Same story in Ohio’s Cuyahoga County: Evidence Of Massive Election Fraud Mounts – Obama Won More Than 99 Percent Of The Vote In More Than 100 Ohio Precincts.
Also, in Ohio, Residents Were Told They Already Voted When They Showed Up At the Polls Tuesday 😯
Nevada seems to have had some trouble with enthusiastic undocumented workers: Complaint Filed over Illegal Alien Voters.
In Colorado, registered voters outnumbered actual eligible residents by as much as 140%: Colorado Counties Have More Voters Than People.
And in Florida: St. Lucie County Had 141.1% Turnout 😯 ; Obama Won County.
Same story in Ohio’s Cuyahoga County: Evidence Of Massive Election Fraud Mounts – Obama Won More Than 99 Percent Of The Vote In More Than 100 Ohio Precincts.

Then there were the reports of problems with electronic voting machines: Here’s how touchscreens killed Romney votes, possible suppression of the military vote, and countless other stories of voting irregularities (see below).
The Left likes to pretend that the Right is paranoid, obsessive, and even racist in our concern for honest elections. Guess it must just be a coincidence that Obama Lost in Every State With Photo ID Laws…

How is it really possible that the country wasn’t trending Right? After the 2010 election; a mandate against higher taxes and Obamacare – when even Michigan elected a Republican governor, house and senate? What about Wisconsin, with last summer’s unsuccessful recall election of Scott Walker (more people voted against the recall than voted for him in the original election!)? Then there were the massive Romney/Ryan rallies throughout October, dwarfing the Obama crowds.
Curiouser and curiouser…
But now the GOP blame game and pundit analysis is now in full swing, the predictable consensus from the inside-the-beltway crowd being that conservatives must throw principle out the window and lurch left if they ever hope to win another election.
I’m thinking America will never see another honest election if we don’t address voter fraud.

Young Obama voters in Chicago were out celebrating the election results on on State Steet Tuesday night. They look like college kids, so one presumes they were excited about the free condoms, cheap college loans and Obamaphones. But some were also happy to support the President’s anti-Israel stance: “No more Israel!”
