Killer ‘hearts’ Left Wing Media

When it comes to the latest madman murder story – the one currently unfolding in California – the network news has been pretty much ignoring the killer’s motivation because, well, some truths are just too inconvenient to report.

Chris Dorner, a former LA police officer, is still on the run, but he’s apparently left behind a manifesto addressed to America. So, unlike with most of these lunatics, here we have an opportunity to examine the twisted rationale behind the killings. However, as John Nolte at Breitbart.com says;

… the media are already selectively reporting on, (leaving) out the more inconvenient portions. You see, there is no political upside for the media to reveal the politics of this suspected madman.

The manifesto, in addition to firmly supporting Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, also esteems several MSM celebrities ~

“Chris Matthews, Joe Scarborough, Pat Harvey, Brian Williams, Soledad Obrien, Wolf Blitzer, Meredith Viera, Tavis Smiley, and Anderson Cooper, keep up the great work and follow Cronkite’s lead. I hold many of you in the same regard as Tom Brokaw and the late Peter Jennings. …

Willie Geist, you’re a talented and charismatic journalist.”

While we conservatives know that embracing a leftist worldview and being unhinged is generally axiomatic, Dorner’s manifesto does present our high-minded heroes with a real dilemma…

One the one hand, his admiration for these venerable talking heads clearly shows him to be an astute, discerning individual. 🙄 On the other, anybody who goes around murdering innocent people is obviously insane.

What to do? What to do?

Well, you can pretty much bet the farm that they’ll totally ignore Dorner’s leftist proclivities. If mass-murderers can’t be definitively proven to be right-wing, knuckle-dragging, Bible-thumpers, they must be apolitical.

Reality rarely fits the MSM narrative.

Obamus Lex II

Earlier this week the “Justice” Department leaked a document which described the administration’s alleged drone-attack authority, claiming that they even had the right to “deliberately kill American citizens” ~

… the memo says it is legal for the government to kill U.S. citizens abroad if it believes they are senior Al Qaeda leaders continually engaged in operations aimed at killing Americans — even if there is no intelligence pointing to an active plot against America.

Yes folks, this is what tyranny looks like:

Here’s Judge Andrew P. Napolitano’s assessment of this latest autocratic extra-legal action: President Obama gives himself permission to kill.

The undated and unsigned 16-page document leaked to NBC refers to itself as a Department of Justice white paper. Its logic is flawed, its premises are bereft of any appreciation for the values of the Declaration of Independence and the supremacy of the Constitution, and its rationale could be used to justify any breaking of any law by any “informed, high-level official of the U.S. government.”

The quoted phrase is extracted from the memo, which claims that the law reposes into the hands of any unnamed “high-level official,” not necessarily the president, the lawful power to decide when to suspend constitutional protections guaranteed to all persons and kill them without any due process whatsoever.
This is the power claimed by kings and tyrants. It is the power most repugnant to American values. It is the power we have arguably fought countless wars to prevent from arriving here. Now, under Obama, it is here…

… Federal laws against murder apply to the president and to all federal agents and personnel in their official capacities, wherever they go on the planet.

Obama has argued that he can kill Americans whose deaths he believes will keep us all safer, without any due process whatsoever. No law authorizes that. His attorney general has argued that the president’s careful consideration of each target and the narrow use of deadly force are an adequate and constitutional substitute for due process. No court has ever approved that. And his national security adviser has argued that the use of drones is humane since they are “surgical” and only kill their targets. We know that is incorrect, as the folks who monitor all this say that 11 percent to 17 percent of the 2,300 drone-caused deaths have been those of innocent bystanders.

Did you consent to a government that can kill whom it wishes? How about one that plays tricks on federal judges? How long will it be before the presidential killing comes home?

So much for the rule of law. And the separation of powers. (Congress is doing nothing productive to confront this tyranny.)
Obama has declared himself “The Law.”

Bruce Willis Defends the Bill of Rights

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Updated: 10:30 am, Feb.7, 2013 ~
“Bruce Willis Defends the Bill of Rights” –
But real-life hero Dan Bongino does an even better job:
Jan 19th, 2013 ~ Dan Bongino, former US Secret Service
Officer and former US Senate candidate speaks at the
Annapolis, MD “Guns Across America” Rally.
Awesome speech! Bongino reminds us of what the Left keeps hoping we’ll forget: our rights are given to us from God – not government. Usurpation of those rights is tyranny.
“Don’t let (the left) co-opt the language…
You do not fight back by creating more sheep!”
You can almost hear the founders applauding this guy across the centuries.
ACT! What are you doing?
Why not start by forwarding this link to as many of your fellow Americans as possible?
Action matters!
Original Post:
“A Good Day To Die Hard,” Bruce Willis’ latest in the Jon McClain “Die Hard” films will be in theaters on February 14th. “Hard” to believe this is the 5th in the series. Don’t know about you, but the first one (1988 – whoa!) is still my favorite.
Have to say the stunts in each successive release have become increasingly far-fetched – safely leaping through explosions, from a collapsing highway overpass to a fast-moving semi? Yeah right! But the movies never leave you wondering who the good guys are.
Apparently, Willis is no less ambivalent in real life. At least when it comes to the Second Amendment. He recently had this to say to the Associated Press:
“I think that you can’t start to pick apart anything out of the Bill of Rights without thinking that it’s all going to become undone. If you take one out or change one law, then why wouldn’t they take all your rights away from you?”
Nice to know there’s at least one sane actor in LaLa Land!
Prioritizing our “connections”
I know this message has been making the email rounds for a while, but like all worthwhile proposals, it’s worth revisiting regularly ~
What would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?
• What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
• What if we flipped through it several times a day?
• What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
• What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
• What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
• What if we used it when we traveled?
• What if we used it in case of emergency?
What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The wireless ads urge us to “get connected.” But are we just squandering all that time and effort, or are we “connecting” to what’s really important?

The best thing about replacing our cell phone with God’s Word? We don’t have to worry about our Bible being disconnected.
Jesus already paid the bill. 🙂

“American by Choice” vigorously defends Second Amendment

You no doubt caught all or part of Gabby Gifford’s testimony before the Senate’s hearing on gun violence – whether you wanted to or not – since all the networks enthusiastically covered it. Gun control advocates eagerly exploited what was an understandably emotional situation to advance their agenda, a favorite leftist ploy.

But chances are you didn’t hear a peep from Henson Ong’s testimony at a Hartford, CT public hearing on January 28th ~

Americans have gotten so complacent, intellectually lazy and historically ignorant that we must be reminded of the truth by a patriot who wasn’t even born here!

In your (America’s) past, you did not have mass school shootings…
What changed?…
It was not the availability of guns…
What changed was social decay.

But the Left will never acknowledge that. Especially, since it’s their misguided social engineering policies that have caused the decay.

Ong ended his testimony with this quote:

“My excellent colleagues have forgotten these bitter lessons of history.
The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid stories
of gun crime usually do. But few saw the Third Reich coming until it was
too late. The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision,
one designed only for those exceptionally rare circumstances
when all other rights have failed. A free people can only
afford to make this mistake once.”

Fixin’ Tickets in Philly

In this week’s episode of “Disorder in the Courtroom,”
we learn that traffic court justice in the “City of
Brotherly Love” is not exactly blind.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yep, in Philly, it’s not how you drive, it’s who you know in traffic court: 9 judges charged with fixing traffic tickets in Philadelphia; feds allege ‘culture’ of fraud.
Federal officials, alleging “a widespread culture of giving breaks on traffic citations to friends, family, the politically-connected and business associates,” in a 77-count indictment, have charged 9 judges, a court clerk, and two businessmen, with ticket fixing ~
Philadelphia ward leaders and Democratic [Um… didn’t Obama get like 99% of the vote in Philly…? Just sayin.] City Committee associates, along with family and friends, regularly contacted the judges to seek help with traffic tickets. Judges would trade favors if the case wasn’t assigned to them and would either dismiss or reduce the ticket, helping people avoid points on their licenses, authorities charged.
One of the defendants, former Traffic Court Judge Willie Singletary, who was charged with lying to the FBI, sounds like a real piece of work; he’d been kicked out of office for showing cellphone photos of his genitals to a female clerk. Charming eh?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Just as an aside, I do find it awfully ironic that the feds are alleging a ‘culture’ of fraud. Talk about the pot calling the kettle…

Good to see Wyoming is taking steps to prevent the Obama administration from repealing the 2nd Amendment: House Approves Bills Exempting State From Federal Gun Control Measures ~

The House voted in favor of a bill that would seek to block the federal government from restricting assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. It amended the bill to specify that federal officials who tried to enforce any ban would be subject to state misdemeanor charges instead of felony charges.

Bill sponsor, Rep. Kendell Kroeker, R-Evansville, said Wyoming should get its position on record before a new federal ban comes down.

Of course, our reality-challenged friends on the Left sees things differently:

Rep. Mary Throne, a Democrat and attorney in Cheyenne, said some states have tried such nullification laws in the past. She said such efforts were common in the years before the civil war and then during the civil rights movement, when some segregationist states tried to ignore federal law and practice nullification of federal laws.

“If we want to make a statement we can do it, but let’s not let’s not pretend that it’s consistent with the Constitution, because it’s not,” Throne said.

Right Mary. Instead we’ll pretend that re-writing the 2nd Amendment is consistent with the Constitution.
And that there’s no 10th Amendment.

And the “right to bear arms” is all about hunting.

Or “bare” arms 😀

Letter to an Eagle Scout

(NOTE: This letter is a response from Mark Alexander to his son, a Cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy, concerning the Boy Scouts of America national board proposal to allow homosexual Scout leaders. Alexander is both a Troop Scoutmaster and member of his area Boy Scout Executive Council.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I received your note about news of an upcoming proposal before the Boy Scouts of America national board, which meets Wednesday, February 6th.
According to the news release regarding that proposal, “The BSA is discussing potentially removing the national membership restriction regarding sexual orientation.” You are correct, the removal of this restriction will permit local BSA Councils to accept homosexual members and, moreover, to invite homosexuals to serve in leadership positions at all levels of the organization.
I understand your profound disappointment in this great organization, after all you accomplished to obtain your Eagle rank. I share that disappointment as your former Scoutmaster, and many years in other leadership positions with the BSA.
A decade ago, when you first joined my Cub Scout Pack, I wrote the BSA’s National Executive Board about concerns regarding advertisers in the Cub and Boy Scouting magazines. The great Scouting stories were wrapped in ads for junk food and video games.
I was struck by the fact that on the one hand, we, as leaders, were charged with encouraging our boys to develop healthy habits for life — and on the other hand, the national organization was serving them a monthly dose of junk food and video game advertising.
The BSA responded that without those advertisers, it would be difficult to fund their glossy publications. I rebutted that this was a “Faustian bargain,” that it conveyed the wrong message in every respect. I heard nothing more from the BSA.
Fast forward to the BSA news this week. In light of all the reports and litigation over the abusive predation on boys by homosexual adults in leadership positions with churches and other organizations, the notion that the BSA is considering lifting its ban on homosexuals holding such positions is mind numbing, stupefying — in fact, shocking.
Now, clearly all homosexuals are not molesters of teens and pre-teens, but where same-sex molestation occurs, homosexuals are almost always the perpetrators. So, why would the national BSA board consider a motion to remove its national restriction on homosexual leaders, and invite avowed homosexuals to fill “select leadership” roles?
Well, for much the same reason the BSA advertised junk food and video games in its national Scouting magazines. The national BSA board includes wealthy corporate executives, who are more interested in dictating BSA policy that comports with their corporate bottom line than with the mission of Scouting. They are completely out of touch with rank and file Scouts and leaders across the nation.
Indeed, much of the pressure to put homosexuals in leadership roles is coming from two national board members: James Turley, CEO of Ernst & Young, and Randall Stephenson, CEO of AT&T, who is slated to become president of the BSA national board in 2014.
Despite the fact that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the BSA’s ban on homosexuals in 2000, these BSA board members are endeavoring to force their social agenda on 3.6 million Scouts and adult leaders. They want Scouting to comply with their corporate policies, which have adopted the homosexual agenda under pressure, primarily from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the so-called “Human Rights” Campaign.
While homosexuals account for fewer than 3 percent of the population, they have some very loud advocacy organizations.
The BSA also excludes avowed atheists from leadership positions, but David Silverman, president of American Atheists, said, “If they are considering lifting the ban on gays, that’s a good thing. I would hope they remove the rest of the bigotry and admit atheists as well.”
Last summer, the BSA committee charged with conducting a two-year national study and survey on the restrictions against homosexuals, affirmed by “unanimous consensus,” upholding those restrictions. (Did they really need a two-year study to figure that out?) But now, a few corporate execs are attempting an end run around the local councils and all of us who are Scouting’s foot soldiers, and hope for a quick sweep of the board.
So what will be the consequences if the national board approves of this measure?
The national BSA restriction against homosexual members and leaders has provided a cover policy for the 290 BSA Councils across the nation, and the more than 115,000 religious and civic groups under which BSA Troops are chartered.
Abandoning this restriction will move the cultural battlefront to the front door of every council and troop across the nation — including their sponsors and chartering organizations. In short order, those of us who have devoted so many years to the BSA and other character-building organizations for young people, will be labeled “intolerant bigots” if we do not comport with the “gay agenda.” Fact is, there is nothing “gay” about being homosexual.
The BSA celebrated its centennial in 2010, but if this proposal is approved, Scouting, as we know it today, will be fractured in some areas of the nation, and will cease to exist.
Obviously, a few elitist corporate types on the BSA’s National Executive Board hail from some alternate universe. The mere suggestion of lifting the restrictions against homosexuals, particularly in leadership positions, is an insulting affront to the vast majority of Scouts, Scout leaders and parents, Scout Councils and chartering organizations.
The National Board should provide cover fire for their local affiliates, not spotlight them as targets for infiltration and annihilation. If the BSA Board is more devoted to its corporate sponsors than the organization’s mission, and fears it will collapse without those sponsors, then let it fall with honor rather than decline in disgrace.
Finally, in this era when few of our national leaders abide by their oaths of office, I know you will stand firm in the oath you took upon becoming a Scout, and repeated many times on the road to your Eagle rank: “On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”
And what is the Scout Law? “A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent.”
Hold your ground young man!
America – Land of the Chumps?
If you weren’t listening to Mark Levin’s radio show last night, you missed an awesome caller; one Jonathon Dunne of Dublin, Ireland [@JonathonDunne13] ➡
[You can catch the audio HERE, at YoungPatriots.com – where Dunne writes a column]
Wow! If all the illegal immigrants in this country shared Jonathon’s respect for America’s founders, and his love of our founding principles, we’d be welcoming them with open arms. He knows more about this country’s history than most U.S.-born high school graduates from the last couple decades. And he shares the frustration we conservatives have with the dysfunctional bunch of corruptocrats in D.C.. Especially with regard to our broken border/immigration system ~
I personally have a massive problem with granting an illegal worker a permanent visa because America has laws and those laws need to be respected. The biggest issue, to me, is the fact that 11 million people will skip the line in front of people like me who have waited 9 years to get a visa… and still waiting. To put that number in perspective, the American government awards 50,000 DV visas every year. I could wait a lifetime and still never get to achieve my dream, but someone who has broken the law gets to live the dream every day.
While (Senator) Rubio insists that we will all be on the same level, the law of possession will come into play. Does anyone really believe that the US government is going to deport someone illegal just so I can come into the country? That will never work.
The other issue I addressed on Levin’s show was the message conservatives need to communicate going forward. Republicans like John McCain keep saying Republicans need this reform to win another election. THEY ARE WRONG. Three little words will lead to a win: THE AMERICAN DREAM!
When was the last time you heard this mentioned? The country where if you worked hard, you could become anything you wanted and could achieve anything. No one could stop you or get in the way.
The answer to tyranny is not less tyranny – its Liberty and Freedom.
Reagan summed up my feelings about America perfectly in his “Time for Choosing” speech in 1964, where he told the story of a Cuban talking to two Americans, telling them everything he ran away from. The two Americans looked at each other and realized how lucky they were. But the Cuban insisted he was the lucky one because he had somewhere to run to…..
For me, while I don’t face the same oppression or anything like it, I still long for the American Dream and I hope and pray every day that I will get the chance to achieve it.
While the empty suits in Congress bloviate about yet another useless piece of immigration/amnesty legislation, Americans-in-waiting like Jonathan, who’ve been following the legal path to citizenship for years, only become more and more frustrated. There are some 4.6 million like him worldwide who have applied for legal immigration, still waiting…
Yet all the federal government apparently cares about are the 11 million* who snuck in the back door. (*Is it just me or does “11 million” sound about 50% less than it was last time we had this conversation??)
Jonathan, and his fellow conservatives here in America and abroad, still believe in the rule of law. The illegals clearly don’t. And sadly, Congress doesn’t either.
Michelle Malkin – in her post about immigration today – is right: Amnesty gang to law-abiders: You’re chumps!
We liberty-loving, honest, hardworking, responsible conservative-types? We are the chumps. But without us, and without young people like Jonathan Dunne to keep it alive, the American Dream will die out altogether.
We the Chumps are really We the Patriots. And We will just have to continue standing up to the Left so that that Dream will still be there to inspire future generations.
BSA: “Gay’s OK”?
I truly hope that I didn’t offend anyone with my last post about the Boy Scouts, but this Gay is A-OK trend is just getting on my last nerve. I’m tired of the radical homosexual activists painting anyone who doesn’t agree with them as homophobic, intolerant, haters. And I’m really tired of being intimidated into accepting a belief contrary to God’s truth (It’s not happening!).
My personal “objection,” if you will, to homosexuality is the same objection I have to all sin. Lying, stealing, cursing, cheating, promiscuity, hurting others – we all stumble (a lot!), and we each have our own particular demons, weaknesses and temptations. But that doesn’t mean we can pick and choose which desires we’ll deliberately satiate. Sin is sin, and wrong because God (and human nature) says it’s wrong.
What’s especially disturbing about various religious denominations, the military, and now the Boy Scouts, caving in on this issue is that they’re essentially admitting that their position on homosexuality has been wrong all along – since… well, forever. That every society since the dawn of human civilization has been wrong. That the [Warning-GRAPHIC LANGUAGE >] desire of a man to thrust his penis into another man’s anus is, and always has been, perfectly natural.
Sorry. I’m not buying it. And no amount of politically-correct threats and intimidation will make me change my mind. In fact, the more in-your-face the homosexual radicals become, the more I’m convicted of God’s truth and committed to his Word.
As a Christian, I find the very thought of homosexuality offensive, because it’s so far removed from God’s plan for loving, heterosexual, married relations. Yet I recognize that there’s nothing in the Constitution that says I have a right to not be offended. That said, where are Christians’ freedoms of thought, choice, religion? Their freedom to live according to the tenets of their faith?
Last time I checked America wasn’t totalitarian – yet.
But we seem to be inching closer every day. The Boys Scouts are just the latest group to capitulate to the secular-progressive-thought enforcers.
TWO HUSBANDS is MARRIAGE
They may have given up on the Truth. I refuse to.
