If you have the time to watch the whole video, pay attention to the arrogant, obnoxious, disrespectful way that the reporters treated Bush – and how much class he showed in not responding back in kind; calmly and sincerely explaining the rationale behind his actions.
Now imagine how Barack Obama would conduct himself in the same situation. The contrast is stunning! First of all, Obama doesn’t have the courage to hold a one hour press conference – especially without planted questions from sycophants. And second, because he doesn’t deal well with the real world, he’d act just like the rude, petulant adolescent he appears to be most of the time.

“It’s a Wonderful Country”
America was wonderful – until the progressives started their relentless campaign of fundamental transformation destruction.
In his post “The President Is Not Checked Out” at Townhall, Erick Erickson (who coincidentally happened to be filling in for Rush Limbaugh the past two days) delivers an excellent assessment of the Obama presidency and its impact on international affairs. While to the untrained observer Barry appears aloof and uninvolved, the president – just like the angel Clarence in “It’s a Wonderful Life” – is providing us with a unique opportunity;
Barack Obama is showing the world what it would look like had America never been born.
Erickson’s article is so insightful it’s well worth reading in its entirety ~
Many people suggest President Obama has checked out. He treats the ever-growing threat of ISIS as an abstraction. Sources from within the administration are now more openly admitting that, for almost a year, intelligence and Pentagon officials have advised the president of the threat. He has chosen to do very little. Last Wednesday, he said we would “shrink” ISIS and make it “a manageable problem” as opposed to eliminate it.
A few weeks ago, I had dinner with a sitting governor and a dear friend of mine. The friend leaned over to the governor and me and said Barack Obama is to America as Clarence the Angel was to George Bailey in “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Barack Obama is showing the world what it would look like had America never been born. As this friend later wrote, “Unsurprisingly, Bedford Falls is now Pottersville, and it’s a terrible place. Unfortunately, we do not get to revert to the tolerable if modest status quo at the end of the lesson: George Bailey will eventually have to shell the town and retake it street by street from Old Man Potter’s Spetsnaz.”
Consider how far the world has collapsed in the past year. Again, my friend noted, since Labor Day weekend last year the Chinese expanded their air defense identification zone to incorporate the territory of other nations; the Russians annexed Crimea; ISIS rose; the Russians invaded Ukraine; Mosul fell; the Hungarian liberal democracy collapsed into Russian-aligned authoritarianism; a Central American refugee crisis spawned a border and humanitarian crisis in the United States; the Egyptians and Emiratis attacked Libya without telling the United States; Iraqi Christians and the Yazidi are suffering genocide at the hands of ISIS; NATO is scrambling to shore up its eastern-frontier defenses; mainstream anti-Semitism is re-emerging; the Americans are on the verge of yet another war in Iraq; middle America is seeing race riots, etc., etc.
[Erickson forgot to mention a few other troubling developments: the O’Ministration’s relationship with our ally Israel seems to grow ever chillier; Libya is devolving into a rogue state; Boko Haram and other Islamist thugs are running wild across northern Africa; Ebola is rapidly spreading in the same area; Venezuela is turning into a massive failed socialist state; our remaining troops in Afghanistan are being murdered as the country reverts to Taliban control]
Seventy-five years ago this past Monday, German tanks rolled across the Polish border setting off World War II. Sixty-nine years ago this past Tuesday, World War II ended as the Japanese formally surrendered. In the nearly seven decades since, the West has established a world-wide peace. Though not flawless, we have lived a relatively stable and secure existence. In just the past year, Barack Obama has largely undone seven decades of gains toward peace.
Our peace was balanced on top of two pillars. The first of the two pillars is the idea of peace through strength. Ensuring the American military could go anywhere at any time to strike back against any foe, no matter its size, has caused many to give us pause. In the last 25 years, after the collapse of the Cold War, America has consciously decided to scale back our military. We have handed military actions to FBI agents serving indictments, signaling our growing complacency.
The other pillar is the moral certainty of the West’s goodness. We have, since the fall of Nazi Germany and the rise of its kissing cousin the communists, maintained Western values are superior and right and true. Barack Obama does not believe in the goodness and superiority of Western values. He sees former old colonialists trying to preserve their dubious claims on power. What so many for so long took for granted, Barack Obama sees as oppressive and regressive.
Barack Obama is the first American president who, through his upbringing, writings and actions, conveys a deep sense of grievance toward the American experiment. The idea that we are the last best hope for mankind is anathema to him. Barack Obama thinks the world, if the American imperial aggressor would just sit on the sidelines, could work out its problems and would be better off.
In short, the world has descended into chaos these past 365 days because the American president thinks America is to blame for much of the world’s ills and has chosen not to check himself out, but to check the United States out of international affairs. The only question now is how many around the world will die because of it.

“Religion of Peace” – and severed heads
Well, it was a hopeful moment. Just last Friday I was encouraged to find John Kerry making an impassioned plea for American Pastor Saeed’s release from an Iranian prison hellhole…
Unfortunately, this week finds the Secretary of State firmly back in his reality-free zone, proclaiming “The Real Face of Islam is a Peaceful Religion” ~
One day after the Islamic State in Iraq and al Sham (ISIS) released a video showing the brutal beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff–the second American journalist ISIS has decapitated on video–Secretary of State John Kerry gave a speech saying that Islam is a “peaceful religion based on the dignity of all human beings,” and that ISIS is not “the real face of Islam.”
In the real world there are no “moderate” Muslims. If there were, wouldn’t we be hearing from them now, trying to distance themselves from these 14th century barbarians rampaging through the middle east? Instead, we get Kerry, Obama, and David Cameron in Great Britain, as the new surrogate moderate voices.
The reality that our feckless leaders seem determined to avoid is that Muhammad’s commands to his followers are foundational to Islam. There’s no getting around the prophet’s dictates if you’re a Muslim, as David Wood at Answering Muslims so effectively explains ~
The Islamic State (ISIS) recently released a video of dozens of Yazidis converting to Islam in order to avoid execution. Our leaders and the media continue to assure us that the actions of ISIS have nothing to do with Islam. Yet when we open the Muslim sources, we find Muhammad commanding his followers to fight people until they convert to Islam. How can obeying Muhammad’s commands have nothing to do with Islam?
And lest we imagine for a second the O’Ministration intends to get serious about any internal threats we face from the Islamists, Mr. Kerry disabuses us of that mistaken idea ~
“America’s faith communities, including American Muslims, are sources of strength for all of us. 😯 They’re an essential part of our national fabric, 😯 and we are committed to deepening our partnerships with them,” Kerry added.
Even worse ~
Kerry also highlighted the State Department’s “mission” to “unite religious communities,” explaining that “it’s a delusion to think that anyone can just retreat to their own safe space.” […]
“The reality is that our faiths and our fates are inextricably linked. And that is profoundly why we must do this now, because they are linked.”
Translation: the Muslim Brotherhood is now firmly embedded (inextricably linked) in the Obama Administration. And it’s a delusion to think otherwise.
Insanity. Even Neville Chamberlain didn’t engage in such civilization-ending rhetoric when appeasing the Nazis.

Our friends on the Left relentlessly attack the Koch brothers as evil rich supporters of conservative causes, lying as largely and frequently as necessary, to advance their progressive causes. You can quickly discover for yourself just how effective this aggressive smear campaign has been by simply typing “Koch Brothers” into any major search engine.
Chances are, the first 4 or 5 pages of links that pop up will all lead to extremely biased websites and articles. If you didn’t know better you’d come away believing the brothers were the worst greedy capitalist pigs ever (instead of the Libertarians – with a natural aversion to big intrusive government – that they are).
Now do a search for “George Soros.” And smack in the middle of the first returned page will be a benign phrase like this ~
George Soros is a self-made billionaire known for his investment savvy and his vast body of philanthropic work.
Sure. Just an extremely wealthy Mother Theresa. Yep, that’s old George.
Ha! If any billionaire supporter of political agendas truly deserves the label “evil” it’s this ancient, anti-Semitic, Jewish (originally George Schwartz) Hungarian.

Don’t forget; Obama almost joined ISIS last year
In the video below, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) gets it exactly right with regard to Syria and Bashar al-Assad.
A year ago President Obama was ready to join up with Syrian rebels in opposition to the Assad regime. And now we know for certain that those very same rebels were merely a pre-ISIS group of Islamists.
Ben Barrack, writing at Shoebat.com, calls out the useful idiots in our elite political class who were all for throwing in with pre-ISIS at the time ~
… exactly one year ago on August 27, 2013, a slew of pseudo-intellectuals wanted Assad gone and signed a letter to Obama demanding that very thing. The rise of ISIS should be the equivalent of a nuclear torpedo to the credibility of each one of these supposedly enlightened experts.
Pro-jihadist support crossed party lines but many were notable RINOs and their apologists: Sen. John McCain, Karl Rove, Bill Kristol, former Senator Joe Lieberman and Clifford May (Foundation for Defense of Democracies-FDD).

Assad has always been the lesser of two – or more – evils. Not exactly a boy scout, at least he wasn’t threatening to exterminate the Christian minority; was in fact, an advocate for religious tolerance in Syria. Had Obama succeeded with his anti-Assad campaign last year, the United States would have been formally assisting an early form of the Nazi-like ISIS forces.
So now the president tells us he doesn’t have a strategy to stop these barbarians from achieving their goal of establishing a world-wide caliphate. Odd, because just last year Barack Hussein Obama definitely had one. His “strategy” in 2013 was to actively support the Islamist cause in Syria!
